King Koi was the king of Maraqua at the time of its destruction. He refused to continue paying the protection money to Captain Dread, and following his defiance Old Maraqua was destroyed in a whirlpool. He briefly appeared in The Hunt for the Battledome.
By the time of the Curse of Maraqua plot, 15 March 2005, he had been succeeded by King Kelpbeard.
Trivia
- Despite appearing to be an orange Koi, the spots on his back are reminiscent of a spotted Koi's.
