The Lyins is a Desert Petpet released on June 26, 2001 and redrawn on December 8, 2004. It lives under the sand of the Lost Desert. It enjoys burrowing for tasty treats and its hard shell protects it from predators.

• The Lyins is featured in one item as of July 2007: The Clothes item I Love Lyins T-Shirt.
• Lyrins is featured in Week 106 of the Petpet Protection League.
• A White Lyins can be found in the Neopets image database. However, it is still drawn in the Lyins' old style, meaning that if it gets released, it will first be redrawn.
