They'll never give up a chance for some fun, and their mischievous grins are incurably infectious. Unfortunately, a mysterious disaster ruined their native city, [[Maraqua]]. While the reason for such an occurrence is unknown, all that currently exists of Old Maraqua are ruins. Most Koi are currently homeless, so [[Neopian]] citizens have been adopting these Neopets like crazy. Their help around the house is invaluable.
