The Scamander is a salamander-like Desert Petpet that was released on July 10, 2002. They are rather shy but can occasionally be seen scuttling across the desert. They are featured in Scamander Swarm.
In Neopets: Petpet Adventures - The Wand of Wishing scamanders are common enemies.
