The Ice Caves was a puzzle game in which reoccurring character Garon the Lupe made his début. Players had to guide Garon around a different maze in each level with the arrow keys, interacting with keys, doors, and traps to make it to the end.
Garon would go on to star in the similarly themed game Faerie Caves, but Ice Caves would sent to the Game Graveyard in Year 5, accompanied by the sequel.
