The Gadgadsbogen Puzzle attendees.

Gadsgadsbogen - good good day in the native language - is the Mystery Island festival of fruit held annually at the beginning of March (sometimes March 1st, but often later). New exotic fruits appear and the Islanders celebrate this by holding a big tiki-style party. Each year a Grand Bogen is appointed to preside over the festival, and since 2003, seemingly for several years running, this has been Rufus.

For Gadsgadsbogen new Mystery Island fruit items are released and old ones are retired. It also serves as a general celebration of all things Island, often with pets released in new Island colours.

The festival is marked by parades and street performers, and a dismissal of tensions that usually occurs between natives and tourists. The honour of naming the new fruits is left to Cinto Pango, an elder of the Pango tribe, in a ceremony that concludes the festivities.
