==Character Categories==
When you are adding categories to a characters aritcle, be sure to cancel out the [[:Category:Characters]] category if they are a [[:Category:Heroes|heroes]] or [[:Category:Villains|villains]] (or if they are both, which does happen). After that, add any other category that is applicable, such as [[:Category:Chias]], [[:Category:Battledome Opponents]], [[:Category:Defenders of Neopia Opponents]], etc. --[[User:Jacob|Jacob]] 17:49, 10 Jul 2006 (CDT)

==Slimming down the list==
In the continuing goal to slim the listing down of this category...it seems to need to think about something more than "heroes" and "villains" to make it smaller (veterans of the NeoDex know what I mean). It seems we may need to take it a step further: Cut the characaters category from articles should they have any Neopet subcategory connected to them. Of course, if that's done, almost no articles (none at all?) will be connected to this category. Still, it needs to be cut down, so... *shrugs* what does everyone else think? --[[User:Jacob|Jacob]] 14:21, 15 Oct 2007 (UTC)

:What I was thinking is to remove this category from the articles that have any character subcategories (i.e. Battledome Opponents, Faeries, Heroes, Villains, Petpet Characters). That might slim down the amount of articles but still have articles remaining. ::I would have to say no to "game characters", when just saying "characters" could work just as well. Altador Cup or Better Than You wouldn't work, due to the fact one is a plot and the other a gaming notice, when we are supposed to be focusing on character specific categories.
