A ''Disease'' is any type of sickness that can come over you [[Neopet]]. Can be diagnosed at the [[NeoHospital]], and the cures can be bought at [[Neopian Pharmacy]], or other such stores. A disease can also be cured at the [[Healing Springs]] in [[Faerieland]], but it takes several visits and you will not be informed of the disease being cured at the Springs.

The Wheel of Excitement is a wheel found in [[Faerieland]]. Based on the wheel games of real life, one must spin it so that the pointer lands on one space of the board. You can spin it once every 2 hours, and it will cost you 150 NP to do so. Depending on what it points to, you will win a prize.

* The most common prize is [[Neopoints]]. One space (The "?" space) will gain you less Neopoints than what you spent to spin it, whilst other spaces such as 200 NP, 1,000 NP and 10,000 NP will get you more. If you land on 10,000 NP then you will get an [[avatar]].
* As well as neopoints, you can get [[Sneezles]] from the wheel, which allows you to get [[Meuka]], a [[Battledome]] challenger. On the other hand, it is also possible to be healed on the wheel.

They can also be found through rare random events and winning certain games. Stone and Glass paintbrushes were replaced by Island and Tyrannian Paint Brushes so you cannot paint your pet with them anymore.

Paint Brushes are Extremely rare and valuable items. If you have one, you are either very rich or very lucky. Paint brushes can be use to change your pets' colours. Since all pets except the [[Grundo]] come in only red, blue, green, and yellow when you make them, paint brushes of coluors other than the 4 starter colours are very rare, fetching hundreds of thousands of [[Neopoints]]. They can be found in [[Random events]] bought in the [[Trading Post]] or the [[Auction House]], and 3 Rare ones can be bought in the [[Hidden Tower]]. You can also win them from games and contests, or by refering people.

Paint brushes exist for the majorty of normal colours, including purple, white, orange, gold, silver, and the 4 starter colours. However there are some stranger colours too, The depressing Grey, the evil Darigan, the Spooky Halloween, and the squishy Plushie. Also, not all colours have a paint brush to go with them; some can only be obtained by potions or the [[Lab Ray]]. There are also colours that can only be obtained by using a paint brush, like
Royal.

The '''Altador Cup''' was announced by [[Neopets]] on May 31, 2006, to commence one the June 2, 2006. It is a sporting event with teams from sixteen [[Neopian]] worlds participating.

The role of the user and the system of play is still unclear. It is believed that either players will be supporting (and maybe betting) on their team, or that they will be be playing as part of their team in a localised competition rather than a community-wide competition. Users could select the team they wish to join/support and change teams if they wish until June 8, 2006.

==Plot Summary==
On June 2, all teams from around Neopia gathered to practice for the games ahead of them, and countless Neopians gathered to watch their favorites take the field. Inbetween practices, most of the players would go and meet their fans, signing autographs. Five days later and the day before the games began, [[Kiko Lake]]'s Left Forward [[Holbie Pinnock]] was injured due to [[Relle Felson]]'s sling breaking and flying off into Holbie's head, taking him out of the games. [[Helmo Timm]], the one Holbie was replacing, immediately asked to be put back in the game to play, or Kiko Lake would likely not win their games.

On June 9, the first round matches of the Altador Cup tournament begun. Among the eight match ups, two showed to be very interesting. First was "The Moon vs. The Goons," or the [[Haunted Woods]] versus [[Kreludor]]. It was uncertain who would win, but it would be entertaining.

Second was [[Brightvale]] and Kiko Lake. With Kiko Lake suffering from a recent string of injuries fans were devastated to learn they were facing Brightvale in Round One, who are notorious for their roughhouse tactics. They were certainly going to take a cheap shot at Timm and put her back on the sidelines for good.

==Yooyuball==
The game played to win the Altador Cup is called Yooyu ball. Gameplay appears to be based on [[Wikipedia:Jai_alai|Jai alai]], where players carry a ball in a sling and charge down the field, trying to throw the ball into the other teams net to score a goal. The ball is actually a rolled up [[Petpet]] called a [[Yooyu]], a creature native to Altador.

There are a variety of different Yooyus that are used in each game, which gives the sport an unpredictable twist. For example, a team might alter its particular strategy depending on the type of Yooyu that's currently in play.

If a user wanted to unselect a player, they pressed the spacebar or the ''S'' key. When none of the players were selected, they can click anywhere on the field to move the closest player to the position they clicked on. To toggle between players, press the left and right arrow keys (or the ''A'' and ''D'' keys). To activate a player when toggling between them, press the spacebar. Press the Shift key to move your players back to their starting positions.

The Altador Cup Tournament consists of sixteen teams representing the lands of Neopia. Tournament play is single-elimination, which means that the team that wins a match moves on to the next round, while the team that loses is eliminated from all play. Sixteen teams are randomly seeded and matched up, and After the eight losing teams are eliminated the eight winning teams will again be randomly matched up and move on to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, four more teams will be eliminated while the remaining four will head to the semifinals. Semifinal play will determines which two teams will battle it out in the final match.

The Altador Cup Committee is a group of officials who carefully examine each play, making sure that the rules of Yooyuball are followed. Players or fans who feel something needs to be reviewed can file a petition, and the committee will decide whether or not to rule on the matter. Once both sides of the issue are heard, the committee gathers in its private chambers to discuss the situation and then votes on an appropriate course of action.

While some might feel they are too strict, the committee's decisions play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the game, and the committee members' actions are always motivated by a desire to protect the game's best interests.

Lord Kass took over ruling of the [[Darigan Citadel]] (even going as far as to rename it ''Kass Citadel'') after the fall of Darigan. By exploiting the media, he managed to convince his people to go to war with [[Meridell]] again.

==Coming to Power==

Lord Kass was a former general in the army of the [[Darigan Citadel]], and a loyal servant of [[Lord Darigan]]. When Lord Darigan lost his sanity to [[The Three]] and their orb, he planned to destroy [[Neopia]] after his victory over [[Meridell]]. Darigan was overthrown by forces from Meridell and his own Citadel when his people realised his insanity, and afterwards disappeared for a time.

Kass then bribed and threatened his way to power. Those who held power under Darigan and opposed him were disposed of, most noticably [[Master Vex]], who was locked in his own dungeon (presumably for treason), and [[Galgarroth]], who was chained up and thrown from the floating fortress.

==The Battle for Meridell==

After General Kass had gained enough support in the Citadel to claim he was Lord, he managed to convince his people [[King Skarl]] was ready to attack them. He suggested war, and, after his propaganda, his people agreed fairly quickly. This was the start of the [[Battle for Meridell]].

Kass sent a dancer, who was in reality the daughter of the Enchantress [[Morguss]], to Skarl. [[The Court Dancer]] hypnotised Skarl, and made him delay sending his army against the oncoming forces. [[Jeran]], Meridell's best Knight, was left to rally what defence he could. When [[Lisha]] broke the dancer's spell, Skarl immediately launched a double-pronged counter-attack. Using one of [[Kayla]]'s new inventions, he supersized some [[Turtum]]s, loaded them with catapults, and used these to counter Kass' War Machines on the ground. He sent another part of his army to the Citadel by air, expecting to be able to catch Kass off-guard. The Citadel turned out to be better defended than Jeran thought, and this section of the army would have been routed were it not for an unexpected arrival.

Lord Darigan, who after his defeat had mysteriously vanished, had become animalistic and primeval and stalked the farms of Meridell. When he saw the advancing armies of Lord Kass, however, he remembered who he was and flew to the Citadel to reclaim what was rightly his.

The Three took Lord Kass for his foolishness: he vanished in the fight in an explosion of magic, and Lord Darigan reclaimed his throne.

The Chia is a lovable little character who is full of joy. Chia love exploring the land and making new friends.The name Chia may be related to the Chia Pet-like tufts of hair on top of their heads.

The very first Neopet, Thyassa, was "born" on November 14, 1999 (the day before the site was officially opened). Chias appear to be great favorites with Neopets staff and are available in a wide array of variations (not available to any other pet species) that look like fruits and vegetables. (For example, the Orange Chia looks like an actual orange instead of simply being orange in colour.) More recently, Neopets staff have added the Durian and the Carrot Chia. Chias are well known for being the food of Lupes, and perhaps that accounts for the many colours, or rather, flavours, of Chias.

The chia was one of the first neopet ever made and comes in the widest variety of colours of all the pets, including a range of fruit colours attained using [[Magical Chia Pops]]. Lack of new merchandise may be due to a legal dispute among Neopets and Joseph Enterprises, Inc over the use of the name "Chia" (the Chia Pet).

Joseph Enterprises, the company that made Chia Pets sued Neopets Inc. for using the name Chia as a species. The lawsuit never got anywhere. There are 56 default avatars which are provided to players automatically, but there are currently 273 secret avatars that can be unlocked. To find these, users must perform tasks such as getting a high score at a flash game (Score 10,000+ points in [[Snow Wars II]]), visiting a particular page (View the [[Grey Faerie]]'s [http://www.neopets.com/neopedia.phtml?neopedia_id=179 Neopedia Article]), or equipping their pet with a special weapon (own a [[Grarrl]] and equip it with a Bony Grarrl Club).
