Meercas are energetic, fun loving Neopets who love playing tricks on others and eating neggs. They are super fast which makes it very hard to catch one, and prone to being pranksters. Though many Neopets have tails, Meercas are the only ones with a tail many times larger than their body. They were first released on February 7, 2001.

The '''Buzz''' is a dragonfly-like species of [[Neopet]]. Buzz (the plural, according to [[Neopets]], is not Buzzes) have excellent eyesight and can fly very quickly, allowing them to easily obtain the berries they love to eat, they are also known to be predatory despite having tiny teeth. They may look mean, but have kind personalities.

When first introduced on January 11, 2000, the pet now called the Buzz was called the '''Fleye''', which looked like a flying eyeball but was changed into reptilian insectoids on July 24, 2000. Despite a later makeover resulting in a rounder and more cuter version, many people still think they look unattractive. They are relatively rare in Neopia, and Buzz are more popular with male players.

Buzz use their keen eyesight and acrobatic skills to help themselves to the tastiest wild berries and fruits, much to the dismay of the [[Neopian]] farmers. They can zoom to the top of the [[Tigersquash]] tree and pluck three plumpest fruits and whizz off in the blink of an eye.

Extremely fast and energetic, this hardy Neopet uses its four wings to gain extreme momentum and speed very quickly. While it may look somewhat fierce, this Neopet will be content if given fruits and berries to nibble on and is quite friendly. Woe beholds any who dare attempt to hurt it or its friends however, as its lightning fast reflexes will shock the attacker before the attacker can even think of running away.

The '''Buzz''' is a dragonfly-like species of [[Neopet]]. Buzz (the plural, according to [[Neopets]], is not Buzzes) have excellent eyesight and can fly very quickly, allowing them to easily obtain the berries they love to eat, they are also known to be predatory despite having tiny teeth. They may look mean, but have kind personalities.

When first introduced on January 11, 2000, the pet now called the Buzz was called the '''Fleye''', which looked like a flying eyeball but was changed into reptilian insectoids on July 24, 2000. Despite a later makeover resulting in a rounder and more cuter version, many people still think they look unattractive. They are relatively rare in Neopia, and Buzz are more popular with male players.

Buzz use their keen eyesight and acrobatic skills to help themselves to the tastiest wild berries and fruits, much to the dismay of the [[Neopian]] farmers. They can zoom to the top of the [[Tigersquash]] tree and pluck three plumpest fruits and whizz off in the blink of an eye.

Extremely fast and energetic, this hardy Neopet uses its four wings to gain extreme momentum and speed very quickly. While it may look somewhat fierce, this Neopet will be content if given fruits and berries to nibble on and is quite friendly. Woe beholds any who dare attempt to hurt it or its friends however, as its lightning fast reflexes will shock the attacker before the attacker can even think of running away.

Grundos are one of many different species that exist in Neopia. Originally they did not come from Neopia, but kidnapped and forced to work on the [[Virtupets Space Station]] by [[Dr. Frank Sloth]] during his attempted [[Arrival of Virtupets|invasion]]. After being freed from Dr Sloth's clutches many Grundos left the Space Station and have set up homes all over the planet.

Grundos are a little unusual, to adopt one for yourself you need to visit the Virtupets Space Station. Once there you can choose more than the usual four colours for your Grundo.

Grundos were once imprisoned by Dr. Sloth's evil regime. Through his evil ways and experiments, he mutated the peace loving Grundo into beefed up, mind-warped warriors. Only through the collaborative efforts of all the citizens of Neopia and the Space Faerie were the Grundos able to be freed from their cruel enslavement and adopted into new caring homes. Grundos are believed to have come to Neopia from space. While their cute demeanour may be a bit on the goofy side, their intelligence should not be underestimated. After all, these Neopets were capable of space travel.

Originating from [[Mystery Island]], the [[Kougra]] is a [[Neopet]] whose energetic nature combined with its large paws and pointy teeth make it a natural in the [[Battledome]]. These cheeky buggers love to pounce on unsuspecting playmates, so if you plan to introduce this Neopet to your family and friends, make sure that its playmates do not confuse the Kougra's playfulness for aggression.

The Kougra seems to have been modelled off of the tiger, with slight modifications to make it more appealing. These modifications include giving the Kougra large eyes and big paws, both of which are associated with youth, along with toning down the teeth and muscles that make natural tigers so intimidating. The Kougra also has notches in its ears and tufts in its fur, adding to the illusion of playfulness and spontaneity.

The Kougra was introduced upon the [http://neopets.com/newfeatures/aug2000.phtml discovery of the 'Mystery Isle'] as one of several potential pets, on 3rd August 2000. As ''Tiger Cub'' it won the user vote and was released as a pet on the 9th August 2000.
