The '''Water Faerie''' is the [[faerie]] aligned with the element of water. Water Faeries are seaworthy creatures, incapable of flight yet swim faster than most Faeries can fly. They swim in the rivers, streams and oceans of [[Neopia]], unseen by most. They can be heard singing quietly at night, but only if they aren't aware others are near. They specialise in healing and defensive powers that will protect Neopets from harm.

They are also hungry for knowledge, and the more powerful Uber Water Faeries will sometimes give a [[Faerie Quest]] to users, asking them to bring them a [[book]]. If completed, the Water Faerie will raise a Neopet's defence.

==Item Rarity==
Rarity has nothing to do with the [[Rare Item Code]]s. Rarity is a simple way of showing how rare an item is. An item is rare if they are harder to get than other items. Usually this will also mean they are more expensive. Whenever you see an items rarity it will be listed as a number. These numbers have the following meanings.

* 1-70 - common, easily found in main Neopian shops and given out by random events.
* 71-84 - rare
* 85-90 - very rare
* 91-95 - ultra rare
* 96-99 - super rare
* 100-104 - mega rare
* 105-119 - Special, these items cannot be obtained through the normal shops. Normally these are only given out as part of a special offer.
* 120 - This means the item is given out by the Brain Tree when you complete one of his quests.
* 121-179 - Special, this works the same way as the 101-119 rarity items, but these are more powerful items.
* 180 - [[Retired]]. This item will never again be released and its rarity will never be changed from 180.
* 200 - Artifact, these items are sold in the [[Hidden Tower]].
* 250 - Artifact, these are either retired Hidden Tower items or [[Cooking Pot]] items made from two Hidden Tower items.

If a user feeds their Neopet a food item with a rarity 90-100 it is considered a ''Gourmet Food'' and will qualify their Neopet in the [[Gourmet Club]].

An excelent little toolbar which has a Tarla button. When the button flashes you have to click on it to get a prize. Today my prize was a Fire Petpet Paint Brush. The toolbar is to advertise premium for neopets.
In other words, a cheap way to advertise.

For a user to care for a Neopet, they must make sure they are fed and happy.

===Mood===
A Neopets mood, being happy or sad, is changed by user actions around the website. There are nine levels of happiness, from least to most happy:

*Extremely happy
*Joyful
*Delighted!

There are numerous ways to change a Neopets happiness, such as playing with a [[toy]], [[grooming]] them, riding the [[Roo Island Merry Go Round]] or eating a [[Negg|Happy Negg]]. The only known effect of happiness occurs from a rare [[random event]] when a user's Neopet is unhappy. Should the Neopet be unhappy when it occurs, its [[Paint Brush|color]] turns to Blue if really sad, or Red if angry.

While a Neopet's happiness doesn't effect gameplay and doesn't need to be changed, it's generally considered mean not to keep a Neopet happy.

Just like real life creatures, Neopets become hungry over time, and must be fed to become full again. Neopets can be any of the following levels of fullness:

*Very hungry

*Bloated
*Very bloated

Neopets can be fed with any [[food]] item, of which will lower its hunger (though it can sometimes be in the same state of hunger even when fed, which is random). Food is aquired with the Neopoints users gather. Should a user not have enough Neopoints to buy food for their Neopet, they can go to the [[Soup Faerie|soup kitchen]] which will feed a users Neopets if they have under 3000 NP. They can also gather food by going to [[Dailies]], visit the [[Healing Springs]] which will sometimes make a users active Neopet bloated, or complete an [[Earth Faerie]] [[Faerie Quest]] which will make a random Neopet bloated. Also, Jetsams can eat Aquatic Petpets and Grarrls and Skeiths can eat any non-food items, allowing a user to save Neopets and other food items while feeding them items they don't want.

Unlike a Neopets mood, hunger has a direct affect on how Neopets is played, because Neopets who are hungry (or not hungry, if it shows up red) cannot fight in the [[battledome]].

==Neopet Lookup==
Besides the species and colour of the Neopet, there are many other characteristics which can show the difference between each of them. Among all the statistics a Neopet can have, there are also those which can be raised in the [[Training School]] for use in the [[Battledome]]. Outside of the Battledome, these stats don't have much use, but as of late [[The Neopets Team]] have implemented a few of them into puzzle plots.

Has anyone ever compiled a list of the titles a stat gets when it reaches a certain level? I know the highest its "ULTIMATE", but what stat does that title change occur on? what about the rest of the titles, like "titanic", and "tough"? For a user to care for a Neopet, they must make sure they are fed and happy.

A Neopets mood, being happy or sad, is changed by user actions around the website. There are nine levels of happiness, from least to most happy:

Just like real life creatures, Neopets become hungry over time, and must be fed to become full again. Neopets can be any of the following levels of fullness:

*Very bloated

Neopets can be fed with any [[food]] item, of which will lower its hunger (though it can sometimes be in the same state of hunger even when fed, which is random). Food is aquired with the Neopoints users gather. Should a user not have enough Neopoints to buy food for their Neopet, they can go to the [[Soup Faerie|soup kitchen]] which will feed a users Neopets if they have under 3000 NP. They can also gather food by going to [[Dailies]], visit the [[Healing Springs]] which will sometimes make a users active Neopet bloated, or complete an [[Earth Faerie]] [[Faerie Quest]] which will make a random Neopet bloated. Also, Grarrls, Skeiths, and Jetsams can eat non-food items, allowing a user to save Neopets and other food items while feeding them items they don't want.

Unlike a Neopets mood, hunger has a direct affect on how Neopets is played, because Neopets who are hungry (or not hungry, if it shows up red) cannot fight in the [[battledome]].

Besides the species and colour of the Neopet, there are many other characteristics which can show the difference between each of them. A '''Disease''' is any type of sickness which can come over a users [[Neopet]]. Pets do not simply recover from a disease with time, instead, each disease has its own unique cure, a certain [[item]] that must be used on your pet in order to cure it. While sick a Neopet will continue to lose hit points, be unable to fight in the [[battledome]], and become more miserable until it's cured. They can be diagnosed at the [[NeoHospital]], and the cures can be bought at [[Neopian Pharmacy]] or other such stores. A disease can also be cured at the [[Healing Springs]] in [[Faerieland]], but may require several visits as all effects of the Healing Springs are random.

Diseases can occur as [[Random Event]]s, or may be triggered by an item such as '''Rotten Omelette'''. Chance-based areas of the website can also affect a users Neopet, such as the [[Wheel of Excitement]] which features a different Disease your Neopet can be afflicted with every few months. Also, some weapons of the battledome have been known to cause sickness, as have [[1-Player Challengers]].

As of July 25, 2006, there is a current total of 35 diseases, but new ones are always being added to the game.
