'''Bertie Shurtz''' is a [[Green]] [[Kougra]] and has been the ''Centre Forward'' for [[Team Mystery Island|Mystery Island's Yooyuball team]] since 2006. Though she lacks toughness and doesn't score many goals, Bertie is a quick forward with superb passing skills that excels at running plays.

With her fellow forwards providing most of Mystery Island's scoring, Bertie's job is to set up their shooting opportunities with plenty of picks and passes. Because teams often double up on [[Volgoth]], or even [[Teylore Nix|Nix]] when he's on a particularly hot streak, Bertie will occasionally get a nice, wide-open shot at the net. When such opportunities come around, she usually makes the most of them.

In 2012 Mystery Island made a change in their formation to 2+2. Following this event, Bertie Shurtz announced her long awaited retirement, being replaced by [[Selmon Woulf]].

The '''Tuskaninny''' is a [[wikipedia:pinniped|seal]]-like Neopet that, in general terms, has an easy-going attitude but can become a fearsome fighter with the right training (and threatening their fish supply). Despite the word ''tusk'' in their name, they do not usually possess these large prominent [[wikipedia:tusk|front teeth]] - the [[Tyrannia|Tyrannian]], [[Mutant]], and to a lesser extent, [[Halloween]] Tuskaninnies are the exceptions to this rule.

True to Tuskaninnies' fun-loving natures, swimming and basking in the sun are two of their favourite activities. To move about on dry land, it can be assumed that Tuskaninnies either bounce on their tails or drag themselves along the ground using their arms.
