The Eyrie is a griffin-like Neopet from the tropical climates of Neopia. They can be very playful but also ferocious at times, especially if their territory is threatened. Their great sense of adventure can sometimes overwhelm their equally strong desire to learn.

The Eyrie was originally called the Cerpull which looked more like a typical European dragon than a griffin. The Cerpull was renamed the Tatsu on the 13th of July, 2000. For this change they removed a nose horn, shortened the "beak", and changed the spiked back into a head-to-tail mullet. On January 26 the following year, the Tatsu was renamed yet again, to the Eyrie. This name change accompanied a complete transformation to today's anatomy. In redesigning the Tatsu, TNT held a Pick-A-Tatsu competition.

In the Neopets Trading Card Game, they are associated with the element of Air.

Battledome
In the Battledome, Eyries receive 20% less damage from Air attacks. There are also six species abilities that can be used by Eyries:

*Eyrie Scratch - Attack: 1 - 2 x Physical; Defence: none; available from level 2;
*Eyrie Dive - Attack: 2 x Air, 2 x Light; Defence: none; available from level 12;
*Eyrie Glare - Attack: 2 - 3 x Light, 2 -3 x Darkness; Defence: none; available from level 20;
*Eyrie Peck - Attack: 3 x Earth; Defence: none; available from level 1; available on Eyrie Day only;
*Eyrie Screech - Attack: 2 x Air, 2 x Light; Defence: none; available from level 6; available on Eyrie Day only;
*Eyrie Air Shield - Attack: none; Defence: 3 x Earth; available from level 6; available on Eyrie Day only.

There are also fourteen pieces of equipment that can only be used by an Eyrie.

Colours
As of October 2010, Eyries come in 44 different colours:
Trivia
*As of March 2010, a little over 10.1 million Eyries have been created, placing them 8th in popularity out of 54 Neopets. They are featured in 103 items.
*Eyrie is an alternate spelling of aerie, the high-altitude nest of a bird of prey, which the Eyrie resembles.
*In terms of height, Eyrie is the tallest species in all Neopia, having an average range height of 5'3" (159.50cm), as mentioned on Neopet Height and Weight by Species.
King Terask is a giant, monstrous, red Draik in II who has taken over Faerieland.

Plot Summary
NeoQuest II
NeoQuest II

This is the final boss in the last part of NeoQuest II, Faerieland. The ship, in reality, is only a few hours away from the sun. In the simulation, Faerieland has been invaded and the Dark Faeries have rebelled. This boss has usurped Queen Fyora, and is holding her captive. In order to reach him, you must first fully defeat The Faerie Thief to enter the palace, and then beat each of the 2 Pant Devils (each has part of the key to Terask). After defeating him once, the player has to face him again at the end of the game as the final boss. He is apparently the main virus that has taken control of the ship's computers as once he is defeated the heroes are finally able to leave the simulation booths.

NeoQuest II
The first time users fight him, he has 2,500 hp, is an very high magic user with many abilities, including Celestial Hammer (stun 3 s. +45 hp d.), Damage Shields, Self Hasting, Self Healing, and Protection of Infinity.

He returns as the final boss as King Terask (MK. II), resurrected stronger than before. He now has 5,000 hp on Normal Mode 7500 on Evil Mode, and 10000 on Insane Mode, and is an extreme magic user, with Mesmerization, Enemy Group Damage, Self Healing, Damage Shield, Protection of Infinity, Celestial Hammer (3 s. stun + 45 hp d.), Self Hasting, and Enemy Slowing. Also possesses Shockwave, Stunning, and Slowing Strikes. His nastiest ability however, is that fleeing from him is impossible, so the player either wins or loses from him.

Battle Speeches
Opening Speech

King Terask watches you approach. Hatred burns in his eyes. "So, you are the puny little weaklings who have caused so much trouble. I should have known better than to let my minions try to defeat you -- I should have hunted you down myself. But now you've come right to me... and you'll never escape. Let's see what you've got." He roars, an ear-splitting noise, and rushes at you!

King Terask is knocked off-balance, and stumbles back, grunting in pain. "No... this... not supposed..." He crashes into a wall, and breaks through it, falling into the clouds below. A golden key lies on the floor where he stood. You pick it up, and notice a teleportation orb in an alcove.

Trivia
*King Terask was also released as a shopkeeper.

Rohane is a Yellow Blumaroo that is the main character of the game in II. He is the leader of a crew on board a spaceship that is being sent toward the sun.

Plot summary
NeoQuest II
NeoQuest II

Rohane lives in a town named Trestin with his mother in a simulation of Meridell. In the Meridell simulation, Rohane is set on a quest to find Ramtor, the mastermind of the harsh creatures that appear in the simulation land. He travels through the other simulations (Terror Mountain, Lost Desert, Haunted Woods, and Faerieland) to solve issues that led to the lock down of the party's simulation room.

Rohane appears to be a warrior type of character in NeoQuest II.

NeoQuest II
Rohane has the highest max HP in the game and generally does the most damage in the later part of the game.

Skills
Every time a character levels up they get one skill point to spend on skills. A characters stops leveling up at level 60 and each skill maxes out with 15 skill points. The more skill points spent in a certain skill, the more effective that skill. A player may choose to max out 4 different skills with 15 points each, or may spread their skill points over more skills.

Critical Attacks

Every attack Rohane does has a chance of doing more damage. This ability is popular, as it can turn Rohane into the offensive machine he can be. Damage increase is often maxed before this; however, because damage increase will increase Rohane's average damage, as opposed to critical attacks, which only lets Rohane occasionally attack for more than average.

Damage Increase

This is pretty self explanatory, adding a skill point increases the average amount of damage Rohane does when he attacks. This skill is usually considered critical for developing Rohane as a fighter, and skill points are often spent in Damage Increase early in the game.

Combat Focus

A casting spell that decreases the amount of damage Rohane takes when attacked; however, it also decreases the damage that Rohane does. This skill is not popular because it increases the length of battles since he deals less damage. It's mostly used in conjunction with Battle Taunt.

Stunning Strikes

This skill occasionally stuns the monster that Rohane attacks for a few seconds. Consequently, the characters the player controls have more turns.

Battle Taunt

Using this casting skill causes opponents to attack Rohane more often than other characters. As Rohane has the most Hit Points of the group, this can be useful to protect Mipsy or Velm from dying. This is often, but not always, used in conjunction with Combat Focus.

Innate Magic Resistance

Decreases the amount of damage that magical attacks do to Rohane. Some players shy away from this skill as Rohane is not usually a defensive character.

Innate Melee Haste

Rohane has less of a delay between turns. so he gets to take a turn more often. More turns is always profitable, so many consider this is a decent skill to have in most situations.

Victory Quotes
Rohane occasionally has a victory shout to say after winning a battle.
* "Justice prevails again!"
* "Our enemies fall before us!"
* "We emerge victorious!"

Trivia
*Rohane is featured in 2 stamps in the NeoQuest II collection and a plushie. He also has his own Battledome item called Rohane's Armour Polish that is a prize for Normal mode of Neoquest II.
*Rohane is mistaken as a Yellow Blumaroo but is actually a White Blumaroo. This is not true in the game however; in the game Rohane is yellow but in the Cutscenes Rohane is white.
*Rohane's How to Draw tutorial was released on August 9, 2004.
