The Kaus' milk has restorative powers. Gentle and peace loving, Kaus love large green pastures on which it can feed itself. In battle, the Kaus focus is more defensive than offensive, but that doesn't mean it can't still pack a punch. Its horns are good enough to teach those foolish enough to annoy it a lesson they won't forget. Kaus are natural mothers, and should anyone choose to search for one to befriend, look no further than a hospital or community orientated project. Also extremely intelligent, Kaus are known for their magical potion-making ingenuity.
The Lenny is a bird-like Neopet similar to the Stork or Flamingo (and Peafowl when coloured Faerie). One of the original Neopets released on the site, the Lenny is a highly intelligent and curious bird and perhaps Neopia's most intelligent species, as made apparent by such Lennies as the Conundrum Lenny and Finneus. They can master many forms of magic and use their cunning to outwit any opponent. Lennies can fly, but their wings can only carry them short distances, and usually only to a hover. Despite the fact they have been around since the creation of Neopets, they are the least popular Neopet not Limited Edition and have a smaller growth ratio in comparison to even newer Neopets.

Avatars are graphic icons which are displayed next to your username when you send a NeoMail or post a message in the NeoBoards. You can change you avatar by going to the NeoBoards and clicking Chat Prefrences.

There are 56 default avatars which are provided to players automatically, but there are currently over 300 secret avatars that can be unlocked. To find these, users must perform tasks such as getting a high score at a flash game (Score 10,000+ points in Snow Wars II), visiting a particular page (View the Grey Faerie's Neopedia article), or equipping their pet with a special weapon (own a Grarrl and equip it with a Bony Grarrl Club). These are just a few ways to acquire them.

Some avatars may be very costly, such as using a Nerkmid, making them almost unbuyable due to the large price.
There is a high score list, listing the users with the most avatars here.
Rather than fight its victims, the Pant Devil prefers to leave them weakened and let others finish them off as it runs off with all the possesions. Spotted all over Neopia, and also appears as a "prize" for the Wheel of Excitement and Wheel of Misfortune, stealing a random item from a users inventory.
Trivia
*As of September 2006, the Pant Devil is featured in 14 differet items.
* Sometimes mistakenly called the Pants Devil or Paint Devil.
* It's uncertain if there is one single Pant Devil or several of them, as the Pant Devil's Gallery of Evil entry says "They have been spotted all over Neopia", and two of them are fought in NeoQuest II.
* Users who place certain items from the Hidden Tower in their inventory can recieve an Avatar showing the Pant Devil crying, as he's being taunted by those users.
* The Whoot is said to have an uncanny ability to know when the Pant Devil is around.
http://images.neopets.com/neoboards/avatars/pantdeviltaunt.gif
* You can get the 'I Taunt The Pant Devil' avatar by viewing your inventory while
carrying a Battle Magic or Defence Magic item whose estimated value exceeds 1 million neopoints. The item cannot be in a trading post lot. Refreshing may be required, and the event appears at the bottom of the page. (source: avatar.starried.net)
The Water Faerie is the faerie aligned with the element of water. Water Faeries are seaworthy creatures, incapable of flight yet swim faster than most Faeries can fly. They swim in the rivers, streams and oceans of Neopia, unseen by most. They can be heard singing quietly at night, but only if they aren't aware others are near. They specialise in healing and defensive powers that will protect Neopets from harm.

They are also hungry for knowledge, and the more powerful Uber Water Faeries will sometimes give a Faerie Quest to users, asking them to bring them a book. If completed, the Water Faerie will raise a Neopets defence.
Shoyrus are fantastic flyers who love to soar through the skies. Contrary to popular belief, Shoyrus do not breathe fire, and they do in fact possess two eyes.

Need a quick method to travel to the far and distant lands of Neopia? Fancy a winter holiday up in Snow Valley or to visit the home of the faeries in Faerieland? Shoyrus possess naturally evolved powerful wings, which can fly you there before you can say 'holiday'. Shy by nature, this dragonish Neopet is very versatile and is a ferocious fighter, making this seasoned battler a prime candidate for people who visit the battledome to duke it out in a test of strength, skill, speed, defense and agility.
Pteris are lively and fun loving creatures who can soar through the skies with ease. They are originally from the prehistoric world of Tyrannia although can no be found all over Neopia. You will often find Pteri nesting high in the treetops of Tyrannia. They like nothing better than playing tricks on those who pass by and filling the air with their squawking laughter.
Faerie Quest

84.193.228.37:

A Faerie Quest is a special Quest given by a random Random Event where a user is asked to help and give an item a certain Faerie. These quests are given out by Uber Faeries, extra powerful versions of the basic Faeries.

When a user has a Faerie Quest, they are unable to use the Shop Wizard. Because of this rule many guilds and communities with the purpose of helping others find their items have been created, because while one user is unable to use the Shop Wizard, another can. The Quests boards on the Neoboards state 'Need help with a quest? The kind folks in here are willing to lend a hand!'. Sometimes called Quest Partners, this user will search for the item on the Shop Wizard and either:
#Give the username of of the shop owner to the user with the quest.
#Buy the item and put it up in the Trading Post for the user.
#Give the item freely to the user.

Quest Partners are usually two users who live in the same or similar time zones. It's against Neopets Terms and Conditions for one user to use a side account to find their quest item.

Upon returning with the specific item to the Faerie Quest HQ, the Uber Faerie will reward a random Neopet of the users (said to be the most deserving of the gift by the faeries). All rewards raises the Neopets stats with the exception of the Earth Faerie and Fountain Faerie quests, which feeds your Neopet to "Bloated" and gives a free pass to the Rainbow Fountain, respectfully.

Unlike other quests, such as the Esophagor's or Jhudora's, one cannot use the Shop Wizard while a quest is in progress. To compensate for this limitation, there is no time limit to when the user can get the item. However, as the shop wizard cannot be used, it can become a nusiance for people who do not or cannot complete the Faerie Quest. If a user does not wish to complete a quest, they can refuse it at the Faerie Quest HQ.

Doing so will penalize the user from having another quest for ten minutes, after which the user must visit the page again to be allowed to take another quest. It's also believed by some the likelyhood of recieving a Faerie Quest thereafter is lowered, similar to the way Karma works.

Earth Faerie Quests are usually considered not worth the expense, as a user must find a Magic Item, which is either very expensive or cheap depending on the item, and in return feeds users Neopet, which is a low-cost activity.

Faerie Quest Types
Each of the six Uber Faeries asks for a random item of a certain type. Below is a list of each Uber Faerie, what types of items they ask for, and which stat they improve.

*Fire Faerie: Asks for Clothes, Raises Strength.
*Light Faerie: Asks for Collectable Cards, Raises Level.
*Earth Faerie: Asks for Magic Items, Feeds all Pets and Heals all pets to full Health.
*Air Faerie: Asks for Grooming items, Raises Speed.
*Dark Faerie: Asks for Toys, Raises HP.
*Water Faerie: Asks for Books, Raises Defence.

Three other faeries also ask for items on rare occasions. They are:

*Faerie Queen: Asks for random item, raises all stats.
*Space Faerie: Asks for random item, raises level by 4.
*Fountain Faerie: Asks for random item, gives one a single use of the Rainbow Fountain.

Other Faerie Quests
While Taelia, Jhudora, and Illusen are Faeries who give quests, their quests aren't considered Faerie Quests, and follow different rules than true Faerie Quests. Besides being a voluntary quest, they have a time limit, the shop wizard can be used, their rewards are part of a fixed set of items and they can only be done every twelve hours or day, depending on the quest.

Trivia
*In the earlier days of Neopets, Faerie Quests were given on request, but this system was replaced with the random event method, presumably because some users were abusing the privilege.
A Shop Wizard is a JubJub with amazing powers, which can find specific items in users shops and teleport you to them. His powers are limited though, and can only find average prices of the item. As the Shop Wizard randomly gives out the lowest prices when a users searches for something, users make use of the "refresh" button on their internet browser to reload the search data. Also, some users open two or more windows to search, so they can keep the link of the lowest deal and not lose it while refreshing.
A Shop Wizard is a JubJub with amazing powers, which can find specific items in users shops and teleport you to them. His powers are limited though, and can only find average prices of the item. Also, it does not search all shops but divides the shops into groups of roughly equal sized based on alphabetical order and it searches the groups on rotation. The Super Shop Wizard is a much more powerful, and can find the very cheapest of a searched item.

Using The Shop Wizard
As the Shop Wizard randomly gives out the lowest prices when a users searches for something, users make use of the "refresh" button on their internet browser to reload the search data. Also, some users open two or more windows to search, so they can keep the link of the lowest deal and not lose it while refreshing.

Some of you may or may not know that the shop wizard follows a system when showing you the cheapest items. It is organized by the first letter of everyone's username. Here is how they are grouped:

*0an
*1bo
*2cp
*3dq
*4er
*5fs
*6gt
*7hu
*8iv
*9jw
*_kx
*ly
*mz

Faerie Quests
When a user has a Faerie Quest, they are unable to use the Shop Wizard. Because of this rule many guilds and communities with the purpose of helping others find their items have been created, because while one user is unable to use the Shop Wizard, another can.

Trivia
*As of June 12, 2006, there 5 items depicting the Shop Wizard: a book, plushie, Usuki doll, Collectable Card and Stamp.
