A morphing potion is a magical elixir which can change a Neopet's species and colour into those specified in the potion's name. They are sold at the Neopian Magic Shop. A potion that morphs a Neopet into a Mutant paint colour and species is called a Transmogrification Potion.

Once a Neopet has taken a morphing potion, they acquire all the traits of the new species and/or colour, but can be morphed again with a new potion, repainted, or exposed to the Lab Ray.
Transmogrification Potion
A transmogrification potion is a foul-smelling morphing potion which morphs a Neopet into a Mutant.

Created by Dr. Frank Sloth, transmogrification potions first emerged on February 5, 2001, being sold by Kauvara, who had received them from Dr. Sloth in disguise. Thinking they were innocent concoctions, she put them for sale in her Magic Shop, until she discovered their horrifying results.

Since then, transmogrification potions only enter circulation when they are given to users via Random Events. This factor, coupled with the appeal in many circles of the Mutant colour, makes transmogrification potions very expensive. Even so, many transmogrification potions for a species are cheaper than equivalent morphing potions, and this makes transmogrification potions sought-after for converting Neopets into rare species.
Trivia
*As of September 2011, there have been 636 Morphing Potions and 50 Transmogrification Potions released.
*Feeding any Transmogrification Potion to a Neopet will unlock the Mutant JubJub avatar (released November 25, 2003) while feeding any regular Morphing Potion to a Neopet will unlock the Magical Kauvara avatar (released June 18, 2004).
*While a Stone Lupe Morphing Potion exists, it cannot be used to morph a pet into a Stone Lupe.
The Fruit Machine is a free game of chance users can play once per day. It is located in the Lost Desert, and its hosts (an Aisha, an Kau, and a Lupe) are painted accordingly. To play, simply click the "Spin the Wheel!!!" button and hope for the best. If the first two fruits match a prize is won, and if all three fruits match an even bigger prize. Prizes range from small amounts of Neopoints and a cheap fruit to thousands of NP and rare items, such as paint brushes.

Because the Fruit Machine is free and has the potential to award hugely valuable prizes, many players place it on their list of things to do daily, or Dailies.

Creating Multiple Accounts to visit the Fruit Machine more than once a day is against the Neopets Terms and Conditions, as it unbalances the game. If The Neopets Team catches anyone doing this, every account that person uses will be Frozen.

Prizes
You can win Desert Food, 50-30,000 NP, bottled faeries, muffins, and even paint brushes. It depends on what cards the pets are holding.

Trivia
*During the Lost Desert Plot, the Fruit Machine disappeared briefly along with the rest of the Lost Desert.
*The art and prizes for the Fruit Machine were updated on 14 August 2012.
** The update replaced the Pteri and Elephante hosts with a Kau and a Lupe.

The Lupe (from the Latin lupus meaning "wolf") is a wolf-like Neopet, released on 13 January 2000, as a selection from a Create-a-Pet Contest. Though hunters by nature, Lupes are loyal Neopets who will often throw themselves into danger to protect their friends. Lupes enjoy adventuring to new territories and prowling around Neopia.

Lupes have a natural rivalry with Chias. Lupe treats are shaped like Chias, and other foods like Chocolate Chias are Lupe delicacies. A Lupe will practice hunting on Chia plushies, and if given one to play with will invariably tear it up. There is a Lupe species weapon called the Lupe Chia Bomb that will do extra damage to Chias in 2-player Battledome matches, and in kind Hubrid Nox developed Hubrids Noxious Blade that does extra damage to Lupes. Users with both a Lupe and a Chia pet may notice their Chia looks unhappy.

A Halloween Lupe is called a Werelupe, a reference to the werewolves of real life myth. Spotted Lupes resemble African wild dogs, and Maraquan Lupes resemble seals. In the Neopets Trading Card Game, Lupes are associated with the element of Earth.

Battledome
In the Battledome, Lupes have no natural resistances, however they do have six species abilities:
Darigan is one of the many colours that users can paint their Neopets and Petpets. The Darigan colour is closely associated with the Darigan Citadel. Most Darigan pets are predominantly purple or blue, but some are yellow or red in colour. All designs and have black accents, and most have webbed, bat-like wings.

The Darigan colour for Neopets was released on April 10, 2003. Users can change the colour of their Neopets to Darigan by using a Darigan Paint Brush item, which can be bought from the Hidden Tower, at The Rainbow Pool. In addition, the Lab Ray also has a random chance of turning the colour of a user's Neopet to Darigan. Users also have the choice of changing their Neopet's colour to Darigan when they complete a Fountain Faerie Quest. Lastly, a Neopet's colour can be changed to Darigan by using an appropriate Morphing Potion.

The Darigan colour for Petpets was released on November 22, 2005. Petpets can be painted Darigan by using the Darigan Petpet Paint Brush item at the Petpet Puddle. In addition, the Petpet Lab Ray also has a random chance of turning the colour of a user's Petpet to Darigan.
