Games are divided in the '''Gameroom''' and into three categories: puzzles, action and luck. Most of the games within Neopets are created with [[Wikipedia: Macromedia Flash|Flash]], an animation and creation tool.

All flash games have a 1,000 [[NP]] limit per game play, and can be won 3 times per day. Not all games can reach this 1,000 NP limit, such as [[Usuki Frenzy]] and [[Sponsor Game]]s, due to the low points to NP ratio. This 1,000 NP limit can be surpassed by the daily '''Featured Game''', in which a non-sponsored flash game rewards double the NP to a maximum of 2,000 NP. The neopoints received from games can also be doubled by having [[Lutari Talisman|Lutari beads]] or the [[Premium#Referral system|Space Faerie lucky charm]].

Some flash games require use of the mouse to play, either as a secondary controller our through complete gameplay. Mouse-controlled games include: [[Crisis Courier]], [[Kiko Match II]], [[Meepit Juice Break]], [[Shenkuu Warrior]].
