The Ghost Lupe, when encountered, will often warn against the dangers of Mystery Island or restore the hitpoints of a Neopet. However, he appeared as a villain in [[Defenders of Neopia]], and it is generally considered that while sometimes he is benevolent, he is also very dangerous.

During The Tale of Woe plot, users were required to dig up several thousand graves and test the bones within them to see if they were the bones of the [[Spirit of Slumber]], in order to discover the Spirit's name. After the correct bones were found, the ghosts of the Neopets who's graves had been disturbed prowled the [[Haunted Woods]] in a special [[Random Event]].

There is at least one ghost who appears in Random Events to take [[Neopoints]] from a user and donate it to the [[Money Tree]]. A different event features the same picture of a ghost, who instead steals a user's Neopoints and does not donate them. The [[Money Tree]] page notes on how other ghosts steal from the Tree itself.

==Colour==
Ghost is also a [[colour]] that users can paint their Neopets and Petpets. Ghost coloured pets are an eerie shade of blue and have a faint blue glow and bright red eyes.

The Ghost colour for Neopets was released on October 23, 2002. Users can change the colour of their Neopets to Ghost by using a ''Ghost [[Paint Brush]]'' [[item]] at the [[The Rainbow Pool|Rainbow Pool]]. In addition, the [[Treasure Maps#Secret Laboratory|Lab Ray]] also has a random chance of turning the colour of a user's Neopet to Ghost. An odd quirk is that when searched, gross foods do not have a "see if this item is in stock" or "find this item in the shop wizard" sign, but don't let that deter you from searching the Shop Wizard in case you want to feed your pet a unique treat or have a Kitchen Quest requirement. The regular hot dog can also be double or triple stacked for more meatiness. Hot dogs come plain or smothered with toppings, like cheese and mushroom, chili, grape jam, mayonnaise, bacon and cheese, and more. Also found in this shop are corn dogs and jacket potatoes, which each come with their variety of toppings, from carrots to fruit to beans and more.

===Jelly Food===
Jelly food, unlike many other types of food, can only be found in [[Jelly World]]. Neoquest is a game within [[Neopets]] created by [[Mr. Insane]].

The sequel [http://www.neopets.com/games/nq2 Neoquest II] also follows the same "in the past feel", but in actuality takes place in a hologram aboard a hijacked space ship. This surprised many players upon finding out, as they were expecting a story set in a medieval land. In this installation, a new battle system was implemented, along with the use of more party members (a total of 4). The party members are [[Velm]], [[Rohane]], [[Talinia]], and [[Mipsy]]. You start out with Rohane in the village of [[Trestin]], in [[Meridell]]. You are led to believe that to beat the game, you must defeat [[Ramtor]], King Skarl's usurping advisor. It later turns out that you must journey through [[Terror Mountain]], The [[Lost Desert]], The [[Haunted Woods]], and [[Faerieland]].
