Hoping to become rich and famous, he planned to create an 'edible friend', a pet which would be your buddy until you decided to eat it. One of his first experiments, Wizzle looked after the Jelly Chia, read it stories, and educating it about [[Neopia]]. This continued until Wizzle got hungry, and he walked up to the Jelly Chia licking his lips. Suddenly realising what was going to happen, the Jelly Chia launched himself at Wizzle in desperation, slowly dissolving him. Nobody ever saw Wizzle again after that day.

If you look carefully at the old, disused chocolate factory on the hill, you may still be able to find the lonely Jelly Chia bouncing around looking for new play things, and still hear Wizzle's screams.

Living amongst the stars, the '''Space Faerie''' protects [[Neopia]] from threats from the depths of space, such as [[Dr. Frank Sloth]]. She very rarely visits the surface of Neopia, and will only do so in the case of an utmost emergency.

Among other acts of courage and compassion, she saved the [[Grundo]]s from Dr. Sloth, and they subsequently became a regular species of [[Neopet]] with their own Adopt-a-Grundo section of the [[Virtupets Space Station]]. She is also featured as the mascot of [[Neopets Premium]].

She is featured in a very rare [[Faerie Quest]], which raises the level of one of the user's [[Neopets]] by 4 ranks.

The Space Faerie was instrumental to the plot. It began when she received a mysterious, coded message from the depths of space, and an overwhelming sense of evil. She made a rallying call to the population to be prepared, and her prophecy quickly came true as the massive bulk of the Space Station briefly eclipsed the sun.

After the message was decoded by the [[Island Mystic]] using many newly-released [[Codestone]]s, revealing Dr. Sloth's true plan to mutate all the population of Neopia to enslave the planet, the Space Faerie gathered Neopians to scour the lands to find supplies to ready a space fleet at the Launch Pad.

The Space Faerie made a personal assault on the [[Space Station]], seeking to liberate the [[Grundo]]s that had been captured for Sloth's experiments. He had anticipated this and manage to capture her. Her struggles weakened her, and she was only barely able to send a broadcast to Neopia, requesting that the population adopt as many Grundos as possible. Doing so helped her regain her power.

Users managed to adopted the 20,000 needed Grundos just in time: as Dr Sloth fired his orbital mutation ray gun down to the planet, the Space Faerie blasted her way out of imprisonment and intercepted the mutagenic beam. To Sloth's disbelief, the faerie managed to divert the beam back into the weapon, which overloaded. The resulting explosion demolished the weapon, and Dr. Sloth went missing until the [[Lost Desert Plot]].

The Space Faerie returned to the stars, and left the abandoned Space Station in orbit for Neopians to repopulate.

==Plot summary==
The story of Maraqua centers around a Usul named [[Garin]], who is the captain of a fierce pirate ship with his first mate and also best friend since childhood, a red Kyrii named [[Jacques]]. His life is full of plunder and adventure, and he lives with hardly a care until after he and his crew rob a wedding. This provokes the rage of [[Captain Scarblade]], terror and master of the Five Seas of Neopia. Scarblade seeks out the Black Pawkeet to extract his revenge.

Meanwhile, beneath the sea, a Maraquan Aisha by the name of [[Isca]], whom Garin knows from only a brief glimpse of her during his childhood, dreams this. Isca and Caylis, Maraquan sisters who were orphaned, were recovered by King Kelpbeard while he was looking for survivors after the attack on Old Maraqua. Upon bringing them into his court, it is discovered that Isca has the ability to foretell things in her dreams that greatly aid the citizens of Maraqua. Caylis later begins to be tormented by nightmares of disasters that always come true. The citizens of Maraqua, believed Caylis was the cause of these, and Kelpbeard was forced to exile her. After Isca dreams of seeing Garin, the Usul of her childhood, in grave danger, she ascends from the depths of Maraqua to the surface. This is breaking the law of King Kelpbeard, who decreed that none were to mingle with the "surface-folk."

On board the Pawkeet, a fight rages between the pirates of the Black Pawkeet, and those of The Revenge, the ship captained by Scarblade. Jacques insists that they must abandon ship, for their forces are outnumbered. While Jacques is making his way to the skiff, Garin is knocked out and sent plummeting to the waves below. In his effort to reach his unconscious friend, Jacques's skiff is destroyed, and The Drenched take him as prisoner.

Isca saves Garin and takes him to Maraqua, where he discovers the amazing underwater city and steals his Maractite Dagger from there. Once he is recovered, he returns to the surface in hopes of finding information about Jacques and his crew. Below sea level, Isca dreams of Jacques, captive of the Drenched, and she returns to tell Garin of this. Garin and Isca plummet below and travel to the caves of the three witch sisters of the sea, otherwise known as The Drenched, live. A struggle ensues, and Garin and Isca rise victorious with Jacques having been rescued. Garin promises Isca after being prompted by Jacques, that he will help her with her new visions of a danger approaching Maraqua.

Users were given the option to help Maraqua or the pirates during the attack in two ways. One form of participation, ''Battler'', involved fighting against Maraqua or the pirates in the [[Battledome]]. The other, ''Supporter'' involved acquiring certain items to assist the battlers, and playing Maraquan themed games to acquire points

Those who joined Maraqua fought the pirates, and vice versa. Also, depending on the strength of the users selected Neopet (which was the only one which could fight in the war), only certain ranked opponents would award the user with points. Opponents could be fought an infinite number of times, but with each in the opponent became progressively stronger.

He is the main antagonist of the Curse of the Maraqua plot. During the war, players could either side with him and the pirates and help destroy Maraqua or side with the Maraquans and try to stop him. He was the war boss for the Neopets who sided with the Maraquans.

[[Captain Dread]] attacked the Old [[Maraqua]] when they wouldn't pay him a tax. Scarblade started a new attack a few years later against New Maraqua when he learned the Maraquans survived. Scarblade and his pirates lost, but escaped when their attack failed.
