'''Jahbal''' is the main antagonist in [[NeoQuest I]]. An [[Eyrie]], Jahbal was the leader of the Circle of Twelve, the magical society that governed Neopia, until he went insane with power and began to wreck havoc on the world.

Jahbal lead the siege of Kal Panning, and cursed the city, turning its people and [[Faelinn]] into zombies. The Circle began to worry over Jahbal, and when he went to the Palace of the Two Rings, his apparent base of operations, a powerful enchantment was set into place to ensure he could never come out. While Jahbal may have been confined, his evil was not, and his magic began to bleed through the boundaries and stir creatures into monsters to savage the lands.

He is the final boss for those playing in Normal Mode, but is followed immediately by the [[Mastermind]] for those playing Evil and Insane modes. Jahbal has 700 HP, is level 50 and can perform 90 HP fire, ice and shock attacks, and stun for up to three rounds.

They created the jungle which eventually overgrew the facility. It is overrun with monsters, including a tribe of [[meepit|pygmies]] the scholars had brought in to study. Korabric and his team were able to contain the pygmies until one of the scholars - [[Rollay Scaleback|Rollay]] - went mad and started using the research to his own ends, creating an army of lizards in the caves underneath the building.

The only original members of the team left in the ruins are Korabric - who locked himself at the top of the Ruins' tower - and Rollay - who since his experiments began has mutated himself into a lizard-man, and is found on the lowest basement of the building. There are also two pygmy bosses - [[Kreai]] and [[Gors the Mighty]] - in the basement levels above Rollay.

Scattered about the Ruins there are three members of an archaeological expedition - [[Margoreth]], he pupil [[Tylix]], and their expedition leader [[Denethrir]]. The monsters who roam this area also provide the final armour upgrade in the game.

The ''Temple of Roo'' is a two-story building in the centre of the ''Desert of Roo'', in the west of the continent. It is home to [[Erick]], who went mad after being trapped in the Temple, and on the second level, the [[Archmagus of Roo]], a [[Blumaroo]] wizard boss. [[Erick]] can build the player a new weapon with help from [[Leirobas]].

The Two Rings is an hourglass shaped mountain valley sealed by the [[Circle of Twelve]] with a spell. There only way into the valley is through a magically locked door in a tunnel at the south of the valley, the key to which is in the possession of [[Faleinn]]. The doorway is watched by the [[Two Rings Gatekeeper]], a title that has been passed down through the generations. The doorway is a one-way entrance-once people go into the valley, they cannot leave.

During the time of the Great Empire, [[Jahbal]] lead the [[Circle of Twelve]] against Kal Panning when the city revolted against his rule. After the city was cursed and the siege ended, the other members of the Circle saw the error of their ways and decided to banish Jahbal. Jahbal got wind of their treachery, however, and escaped to the Two Rings Palace at the northern end of the valley. Unwilling to fight Jahbal on his own terms as they believed he could be hoarding magical artifacts in the palace, they instead cast the spell that shut the valley off from the rest of the world, turning Jahbal's safehouse into a prison.

Over time, Jahbal was able to extended his magical influence through the spell, and although he still couldn't leave, he was able to begin creating monsters outside of the valley and sent them to kill the Council Members of the cities of Neopia. Eventually, he produced so many monsters from his prison that the entire world was over-run and the Empire crumbled.

The final dungeon of the game, containing Jahbal's most powerful minions, all of which are Chias. The Palace has three levels, but monsters only appear on the lower two. The top level holds Jahbal, the final boss of a Normal game. On the Evil difficulty, after fighting Jahbal the player immediately encounters [[Mastermind]], and on iNsAnE difficulty, after fighting [[Mastermind]], the player immediately encounters [[Xantan Reborn]].

Living amongst the stars, the '''Space Faerie''' protects [[Neopia]] from threats from the depths of space, such as [[Dr. Frank Sloth]]. She very rarely visits the surface of Neopia, and will only do so in the case of an utmost emergency.

Among other acts of courage and compassion, she saved the [[Grundo]]s from Dr. Sloth, and they subsequently became a regular species of [[Neopet]] with their own Adopt-a-Grundo section of the [[Virtupets Space Station]]. She is also featured as the mascot of [[Neopets Premium]].

She is featured in a very rare [[Faerie Quest]], which raises the level of one of the user's [[Neopets]] by 4 ranks.

The Space Faerie was instrumental to the plot. It began when she received a mysterious, coded message from the depths of space, and an overwhelming sense of evil. She made a rallying call to the population to be prepared, and her prophecy quickly came true as the massive bulk of the Space Station briefly eclipsed the sun.

After the message was decoded by the [[Island Mystic]] using many newly-released [[Codestone]]s, revealing Dr. Sloth's true plan to mutate all the population of Neopia to enslave the planet, the Space Faerie gathered Neopians to scour the lands to find supplies to ready a space fleet at the Launch Pad.

The Space Faerie made a personal assault on the [[Space Station]], seeking to liberate the [[Grundo]]s that had been captured for Sloth's experiments. He had anticipated this and manage to capture her. Her struggles weakened her, and she was only barely able to send a broadcast to Neopia, requesting that the population adopt as many Grundos as possible. Doing so helped her regain her power.

Users managed to adopted the 20,000 needed Grundos just in time: as Dr Sloth fired his orbital mutation ray gun down to the planet, the Space Faerie blasted her way out of imprisonment and intercepted the mutagenic beam. To Sloth's disbelief, the faerie managed to divert the beam back into the weapon, which overloaded. The resulting explosion demolished the weapon, and Dr. Sloth went missing until the [[Lost Desert Plot]].

The Space Faerie returned to the stars, and left the abandoned Space Station in orbit for Neopians to repopulate.

When [[Rohane]] and party come upon Balthazar at his grove, they find it bright and cheery unlike the rest of the Haunted Woods, and find Balthazar actually liking the presence of Faeries. After visiting [[The Brain Tree]], [[Rohane]] finds out [[The Four Faeries]] which Balthazar claims are his friends placed a curse on him, and needed to be defeated.

After killing the Faeries, Balthazar and his grove return to normal, and assumes [[Hubrid Nox]] is behind his and the Spider Grundo's curse. When Rohane asked why he didn't come with them, he said he needed to take a bath to wash the smell of Faerie off him.

After putting the plushie back, go to the main lobby and click the doorhandle of the door on the left. Once inside the Archives, click on the larger doors to move from room to room until you find that one of the small sidedoors is clickable. This door opens up to reveal a closet, inside is a box of replacement pink meepit plushies. After hiding this box in another closet, go back to the Archivist Office where Finneus will take out his favourite Meepit Plushie from a cabinet. Distract him by throwing a rock at a vase and once he turns around, take his favourite Meepit Plushie and return it to the Lenny Conundrum Lenny. After the Lenny accidentally rips the head off, click on the dagger that is found embedded in the plushie to reveal the pattern for ''The Thief'' constellation. Return the ripped plushie and head to the Observatory. When you find the constellation go back to the Astronomy Club, they will give you ''The Astronomy Club'' [[item]].

They can also gather food by going to [[Dailies]], visit the [[Healing Springs]] which will sometimes make a users active Neopet bloated, or complete an [[Earth Faerie]] [[Faerie Quest]] which will make a random Neopet bloated. Also, Jetsams can eat Aquatic Petpets and Grarrls and Skeiths can eat any non-food items, allowing a user to save Neopets and other food items while feeding them items they don't want.

Unlike a Neopets mood, hunger has a direct affect on how Neopets is played, because Neopets who are hungry (or not hungry, if it shows up red) cannot fight in the [[battledome]].

Besides the species and colour of the Neopet, there are many other characteristics which can show the difference between each of them.
