Underwater Fishing

The [http://www.neopets.com/water/fishing.phtml Underwater Fishing Caves] can be found in [[Maraqua]]. These caves give your pet a chance to fish for an item. The item caught is random, but as a pet's fishing skill increases new items become available. Fishing skill is increased either by being randomly awarded when fishing or by reading the book "Fishing Made Easy" to your pet. This book increases fishing level by 1-3 for the pet that reads it and can only be read once by each pet. This book can be caught while fishing and it is currently believed that this book requires a minimum of fishing level 20 to be caught.

Each pet can fish once every 2-12 hours. The time between hooking a new item is random, but it appears that as fishing level increases, so does the length of time between casts. (And the chance for getting a good item)

There is an [[Avatar]] associated with fishing that requires a player to catch a Titanic Squid.

Rainbow Fountain

The Rainbow fountain first appeared in 2003 as a sponsor reward. In return for signing up with sponsors players could earn coupons toward painting their pets and changing it's species. At this time there were no restrictions on what species or color your pet could be painted. (Though it is important to note that this was before the introduction of pets like the Krawk or Draik, and the only color exclusive to the Lab Ray was Robot.) The Rainbow Fountain was shut down within a few months, as is common for sponsor related "freebies".
Years later the Rainbow Fountain was re-introduced. This time there were certain restirctions on the colors you could paint your pet (The fountain will not allow you to paint your pet Robot, Royal, or MSP-even if you have a poogle.) and changing species was no longer an option. In order to gain access to the Rainbow Fountain you must complete a [[quest]] for the [[Fountain Faerie]].
Recently players have found an item called Flash of Rainbow Fountian Water while fishing in the [[Underwater Fishing]] caves. When used on your pet it will randomly paint it any color available for that species (except for Robot, Royal or MSP Poogle of course).

Scratchcard

Scratch cards can be bought from one of the many scratch card koisks around the Neopets Website. The first Scratchcard Koisk was found in [[Terror Mountain]] where one scratch card could be bought for 600 np every 6 hours.Later on the [[Haunted Woods]] koisk was added. Scratchcards bought from this koisk within the first few days were soon announced to be fake by TNT. These fake scratchcards can not be used at the koisk, and serve very little purpose except as a gallery item. The [[Lost Desert]] koisk soon followed.
Each koisk gives a different set of scratchcards and rewards a different set of prizes. The scratchcard recived is random and some scratchcards are more rare than others. In addition to this, the time limit for buying scratchcards varies from koisk to koisk, but once a scratchcard has been purchased from a koisk, none can be purchased from any koisk until the time limit is up. Scratchcards from [[Terror Mountain]] are 600 np and can be purchased once every 6 hours, [[Haunted Woods]] scratchcards are 1,200 np and [[Lost Desert]] scratchcards are 500 np and can be purchased once every 4 hours. Scatchcards can be bought and sold or stored in a players Safety Deposit Box, and there is no limit to how many could be scratched at one time.
There are currently two [[avatar]]s that can be gained through the scratchcard koisks, Sssidney and Kiosk Wocky.

There are 56 default avatars which are provided to players automatically, but there are currently 273 secret avatars that can be unlocked. To find these, users must perform tasks such as getting a high score at a flash game (Score 10,000+ points in [[Snow Wars II]]), visiting a particular page (View the [[Grey Faerie]]'s [http://www.neopets.com/neopedia.phtml?neopedia_id=179 Neopedia Article]), or equipping their pet with a special weapon (own a [[Grarrl]] and equip it with a Bony Grarrl Club). These are just a few ways to aquire them.

Some avatars may be very costly, such as using a Nerkmid which can cost upwards of 80,000 NP. There is a high score list, listing the users with the most avatars.

'''NeoQuest''' is a web based role playing game on [[Neopets]] created by [[Mr. Insane]].

The game puts you in the role of a [[Lupe]] (called "Neoquest Hero" as throughout the game he will be call the name of whatever your active Neopet is) in the world of [[Neopia]] 10,000 years ago. You control this one hero on his/her quest to stem back the tide of evil. Each pet you own can start his or her own game on one of three difficulty levels. Normal is the first difficulty level available, beating this difficulty unlocks Evil and beating Evil unlocks Insane. Each level is progessivly harder in addition to which Evil ends with one more boss than Normal, and Insane ends with one more than Evil. Players recieve more NP from boss fights on higher difficulties as well.

Due to the large number of page views and popularity when the game was first available, Neopets' servers ran very slowly for some time. When it first opened, it kept bringing down the Neopets server, which were incapable of handling the game at the time. As a temporary fix, they only allowed users to play in the mornings (Eastern Standard Time), and prevented play during any other time. This ban was lifted after a few weeks. Since then, there have been no such restrictions and Neoquest can now be played at any given time during the day.

Although it is not listed under the highscores, Neoquest does in fact has it's own version of a highscores table. When in the game clicking on [http://www.neopets.com/games/neoquest.phtml?section=leaders Leader Boards] will take you to a list of the first people to beat neoquest, the fastest wins and those with the most wins.
