'''Avatars''' are graphic icons which are displayed next to your username when you send a [[NeoMail]] or post a message in the [[NeoBoard]]s. You can change you avatar by going to the NeoBoards and clicking [http://neopets.com/neoboards/preferences.phtml Chat Prefrences].

There are 56 default avatars which are provided to players automatically, but there are currently 273 secret avatars that can be unlocked. To find these, users must perform tasks such as getting a high score at a flash game (Score 10,000+ points in [[Snow Wars II]]), visiting a particular page (View the [[Grey Faerie]]'s [[Neopedia]] article), or equipping their pet with a special weapon (own a [[Grarrl]] and equip it with a '''Bony Grarrl Club'''). These are just a few ways to aquire them.

Some avatars may be very costly, such as using a [[Nerkmid]] which can cost upwards of 80,000 [[Neopoints]]. There is a high score list, listing the users with the most avatars.

'''Dr. Frank Sloth''' is an insane scientist bent on the destruction of [[Neopets]] and [[Neopia]]. Was once stopped by the [[Space Faerie]] in [[Arrival of Virtupets]], and has since been working underground, creating evil plans and giving out Transmogrification Potions to clueless Neopians.

Currently in the works of attacking the Space Station and Kreludor while mascarading around Neopia as '''The Happiness [[Faerie]]'''. Like [[Jelly World]], it is an inside joke in that despite The Happiness Faerie being poorly disguised with cardboard wings, no one can ''put their finger on'' who the Faerie is similar to.
