Meteor Crash Site 725-XZ is a location of a meteor impact on Kreludor. The impact occurred on 21st June 2007, although New Features archives it as the 22nd as part of the Meteors of Kreludor themed day.

Users are able to approach the large meteorite - which had left a large trench in the ground - and are given the option to run away from it or to poke it with a stick. In the latter event, the meteorite either cracks and discharges an alien item or disappears.

Users are only able to get items from the meteor once per day, after which further approaches to the rock result in either the user noting it is very hot or a Purple Grundo scientist encouraging the user to leave. If users fail to receive an items from the meteor, they may return one hour later. The meteor will have re-appeared by then and they may try again (although refreshing the page when the meteor has re-appeared, if the action to poke it has not been selected, will result in the user missing their opportunity to try for an item for another hour).

Prizes
There are several different items that can be obtained from prodding the meteorite, including:

*Antigravity Tulip
*Attack on Kreludor
*Dirt Pie
*Iceberg Sundae
*MechaBerry Bomb
*Meteor Rock
*Mibblie
*Nedler
*Proto-force 5000 Helmet
*Rashpid
*Squashed Salisbury Steak
*Sugarbunny Surprise
*Tencals
*Upsidown Tree
*Space Tots
*Space Fungus Spore

Trivia
*The activity page incorrectly refers to the rock as a meteor, which in fact refers to the rock as it enters the atmosphere. The rock at the crash site is properly called a meteorite.
*The meteor crash coincided with the release of several meteor-themed Fun Images, a screensaver, some Colouring Pages, and four Booktastic Books.
*The event was hinted at as early as the 1st May, where the Daily Puzzle question "What natural disaster took place that allowed us to discover Tyrannia?" had a possible answer "A meteor hit Kreludor".
*The link to the meteor is not located on the Kreludor map, and can only be accessed via the URL.

The Altador Cup is a yearly gaming plot on Neopets which begins on June 1, and continues until gaming is completed (first year took place between June 1, 2006 and August 4). As a sporting event, sixteen teams from the lands of Neopia gathered in Altador to compete in the sport of Yooyuball for the Altador Cup trophy. During the second Altador Cup, the plot lasted from June 1, 2007 to July 9. The third annual Altador Cup commenced on June 12, 2008. This is, so far, the only tournament which hasn't commenced on the usual June 1st date.

Yooyuball
The game played to win the Altador Cup is called Yooyuball. Gameplay appears to be based on Jai alai, where players carry a ball in a sling and charge down the field, trying to throw the ball into the other team's net to score a goal. The ball is actually a rolled up Petpet called a Yooyu, a creature native to Altador. There are a variety of different Yooyus used in the game, which gives the sport an unpredictable twist, requiring a team to alter its strategy depending on the type of Yooyu currently in play.

*Normal - The most common Yooyu which behaves like a normal ball of play without any extra effects. This Yooyu was added during the second Altador Cup.
*Fire - A very fast Yooyu, it moves in a straight line and must be transferred very quickly between team-mates, because keeping it too long could result in burns.
*Snow - Much slower than the Normal Yooyu, the Snow Yooyu also moves in a straight line. It freezes the muscles of those playing with it, making game play quite slow.
*Mutant - Leading to an extremely unpredictable game, the Mutant Yooyu will move in numerous, random patterns, such as beginning to curve at different points in the throw, changing speed, and only rarely shooting in a straight line.
*Faerie - Floating lightly through the air, the Faerie Yooyu curves in flight and leaves players wondering when it will drop down low enough for them to capture and pass it.
*Darigan - A misbehaving Yooyu which flies in a different direction the player holding it is facing, the Darigan Yooyu's flight can be predicted based on where a player is facing in the area. This Yooyu was added in the 2007 games.
*Clockwork - The Clockwork Yooyu is a wind-up robotic toy that will begin to glow red and explode between 1 - 15 seconds if it isn't put into a goal. This Yooyu was added in the 2007 games.

Yooyuball plays as a flash game, where users can play with use of the mouse and keyboard. Before each game of Yooyuball begins, users choose the formation they want their players to stand in and select which direction they would like to move the ball down the field. Using the mouse, users point at the player they want to move around, which will select the player. The selected player can be guided around the field using the mouse. When a player has possession of the ball, clicking the left mouse button throws the ball.

If a user wanted to deselect a player, they pressed the space bar or the S key. When none of the players were selected, they can clicked anywhere on the field to move the closest player to the position they clicked on. To toggle between players, users press the left and right arrow keys (or the A and D keys). Users can activate a player when toggling between them by pressing the space bar. Pressing the Shift key to moves players back to their starting positions.

A new rule was added on June 24, 2006, which would make the Yooyu jump from a Keeper's hands if it stayed there longer than 5 seconds. It is believed this was implemented because too many users were scoring a single goal then letting the Keeper hold onto the ball for the remainder of play, scoring an automatic win.

Between each goal, a cutscene is played, showing either the goal, the crowd, or - added in 2007 - the Yooyuball selection machines beneath the arena. While the cutscene is playing, game time is still used up, but a 'continue' button appears after a short delay allowing the user to skip most of the animation. An animation accompanies the introduction of each Yooyu to the field, also, but this can be skipped using the space bar.

The Committee
The Altador Cup Committee is a group of officials who carefully examine each play, making sure the rules of Yooyuball are followed. Players or fans who feel something needs to be reviewed can file a petition, and the committee will decide whether or not to rule on the matter. Once both sides of the issue are heard, the committee gathers in its private chambers to discuss the situation and vote on an appropriate course of action. Some feel they are too strict, but it's the committee's decisions which maintain the integrity of the game, and the committee members' actions are always motivated by a desire to protect the game's best interests.

It was the Committee which sent invitations to the worlds of Neopia in 2006, asking to participate in the first Altador Cup tournament in 1000 years. It's also assumed the Committee is a front for the actions taken by The Neopets Team, who make sure the game is fair and balanced for all users.
The Altador Cup Tournament consists of sixteen teams representing the lands of Neopia. In total from previous years, eighteen worlds have participated, each sending a team to compete in the Colosseum in Altador. Users could only support one team at a time, and could only switch to another between rounds (only in the 2006 games). After Shenkuu was disovered in later 2006, Shenkuu's team replaced Kreludor's. Why this was done was released in a statement by Derlyn Fonnet, explaining that the 'muscle and bone' density of the Kreludans was, due to a malfunctioning gravity generator, too low to safely play on Neopia. To the happiness of many fans, Kreludor returned for the 2008 tournament. However, Kiko Lake could not participate because of a travel issue. Recently, the discovery of 2009's Altador Cup logo has shown that it will be Brightvale that will not participate, because apparently, King Hagan states that it would be difficult to govern the country with the Altador Cup going on.

Only sixteen teams were available for users to play, but a 17th team came from Jelly World, which has participated as the practice team for all three years. While the members of the team are unknown, it's known the Goalkeeper is a Jelly Kougra and the forwards a Jelly Kau and Usul.

So far Lutari Island has not participated in any of the Altador Cups, though two Lutari have. Neopets has yet to offer any explanation for why Lutari Island does not participate.

Slushie Slinger
Added in the 2007 games, Slushie Slinger is an game users could play for lower points besides playing Yooyuball. Users play the role of a Red Tuskaninny waitress at the Slushie Concession Stand, and must serve impatient fans (Red Nimmo, Purple Tonu, Yellow Ogrin, etc.) their slushies while Yooyuball games play. Depending on what team the user joined, the Slushie Concession Stand would be the team's official slushie stand. Players would lose a life every time an empty slushie bottle falls to the floor or if the customers reach the end of the counter.
Make Some Noise
Added in the 2007 games, Make Some Noise is an game users could play for lower points besides playing Yooyuball. Assuming the role of the Techo Fanatic, users must cheer as loud as they can by tapping two randomly chosen keys together, raising the sound meter, for as long as they can in 30 seconds, then (though this is not necessary) pressing the spacebar before the time runs out. Depending on what team the user joined, the Techo Fanatic would be seen wearing that teams shirt, and cheering for them.
Shootout Showdown
Shootout Showdown is a new game in the 2009 games. You take control of a Yooyuball player, trying to score goals against the opponents Keeper. The aim is to score 5 goals as quickly as possible, within 60 seconds, without missing or letting the keeper save your shots.

Plot participation
:Main Articles: Altador Cup 2006, Altador Cup 2007, Altador Cup 2008, Altador Cup 2009

Unlike regular plots where the plot was written by The Neopets Team, the plot was directed by the collective users on Neopets, and how well they played together in each of their selected teams. A plot summary was written after play to act out who won in each cause. Also, each year had their own methods of participation, and how the plot would progress.

Staff Tournament
As another part of the Altador Cup, The Neopets Team participates in a tournament play of their own. They did this in 2006, but they did not do this in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
Along with the release of the Altador Cup on June 1, 2006, a new Shop called Altador Cup Souvenirs opened, which sold sports team merchandise for each of the teams playing. Rather than Altador Cup Tournament items have a single use, they can be used for many different things. Hands and bottles are used as toys, pennants can be placed in Neohomes, and the jerseys are Clothes.
*The first Altador Cup appeared to coincide with dates and times of the FIFA World Cup in Germany of 2006, and the golden orb, seen in the preview trailer, of the trophy bore a remarkable resemblance to the actual World Cup.
For 2007, Evan Almighty was advertised.
*During Yooyuball game play when the Ixi and Grarrl news presenters are making their remarks about the teams, were a user to refrain from clicking the "continue" button, they would begin to ask the user to carry on, mention they see Tarla and need to hurry and catch her or reminding the user that sitting and watching them does not earn them points. A Spyder may also come down from the ceiling.
The first Scratchcard Kiosk was found in Terror Mountain where one scratchcard could be bought for 600 NP every 6 hours.Later on the Haunted Woods kiosk was added. Scratchcards bought from this koisk within the first few days were soon announced to be fake by The Neopets Team. These fake scratchcards can not be used at the kiosk, and serve very little purpose except as a gallery item. The Lost Desert kiosk soon followed.

Each kiosk gives a different set of scratchcards and rewards a different set of prizes. The scratchcard received is random and some scratchcards are more rare than others. In addition to this, the time limit for buying scratchcards varies from kiosk to kiosk, but once a scratchcard has been purchased from a kiosk, none can be purchased from any kiosk until the time limit is up. Scratchcards from Terror Mountain are 600 np and can be purchased once every 6 hours, Haunted Woods scratchcards are 1,200 np and bought every 2 hours, and Lost Desert scratchcards are 500 np and can be purchased once every 4 hours. Scatchcards can be bought and sold or stored in a players Safety Deposit Box, and you can only scratch 5 of each type per day.

There are currently two Avatars that can be gained through the scratchcard koisks, from Sidney and Kiosk Wocky. The Lost Desert kiosk does not give an avatar.
Scratchcard Kiosk is a luck and chance game held in the Ice Caves and run by the Scratch Card Kiosk Wocky. To play, a user buys a scratchcard for 600 Neopoints and scratches off 6 of 9 spaces in hopes of getting 3 matching symbols, winning Neopoints and/or items. There are many different scratchcards to which can be given, and they are rewarded at random, with some more rarer than others and giving better and more expensive prizes. A user can purchase a scratchcard from Scratchcard Kiosk once every 6 hours, and cannot by any other scratchcards during this time either.

It's against the rules to visit the Scratchcard Kiosk with Multiple Accounts, because it unbalances the game, causing the price of the scratchcard to change with the number of them in Neopets. Users are limited to one account per person to visit, and using multiple accounts to gain Neopoints is not allowed and will result in the user being Frozen.

There are 5 different scratchcards Scratchcard Kiosk gives, each with a selected prize selection a user is possible of winning from...
Daily Dare 2007 is a gaming-related plot released on March 1, 2007, as a follow-up to the Games Master Challenge 2006, starring Aristotle A. Avinroo and his sister Abigail.

The Challenges
Each day throughout March, Aristotle and Abigail made a challenge to users to beat their scores in that days "Featured Game" of the Games Room. Much like Better Than You, users could choose to beat either AAA's or Abigail's score and be rewarded an item for their win. Only AAA or Abigail could be faced off in each challenge, and once a user chose a challenge, they could not change it. Users then submitted a new score the game which topped the score of who they challenged, and returned to the Daily Dare page to collect their prize.
