Her younger sister [[Princess Vyssa]] held the throne for her while she was away on political missions, and was the original inheritor of the throne, but because of Vyssa's young age, Amira took over in her stead.

When Prince Jazan continued making it worse for Sakhmet, Amira made her guards, including General Dacon, to save the people and keep them safely into the palace. After Jazan commanded Amira's servants to prepare a wedding, she almost married him, until [[Nabile]] and Jazan fell in love and married. [[Razul]] later on attacked Sakhmet, so Amira and Nabile had tried to escape the chaos.

Garin is a [[Yellow]] [[Usul]] pirate who captains ''[[The Black Pawkeet]]''. He was responsible for the rest of [[Neopia]] - or "surface-dwellers" - learning about the existence of [[New Maraqua]]. His discovery almost led to New Maraqua's destruction when word of its existence reached [[Captain Scarblade]]. He was the main protagonist of the Curse of Maraqua plot and rallied to its defence, being one of the Wave 4 challengers fought by players who sided with Scarblade and his pirates.

He is something of a maverick who dislikes following rules but loves the adventure of pirating.
