The '''Monoceraptor''' is a monster which invaded [[Tyrannia]] along with an army of Tyrannian [[Neopet]]s during [[The Tyrannian Invasion]]. Making it's first visual appearance on May 10, 2001, he was the ''boss'' challenger of the war, coming after seven initial waves of invaders. Considered one of the most fearsome beasts of [[Neopia]], it's thick leathery hide is full of scars from all the battles he won.

After the ransacking of Tyrannia, the Monoceraptor earned himself a place in the [[Gallery of Evil]] on May 11, 2001, but was replaced with [[Commander Garoo]] at some unrecorded later point for unknown reasons. It was implied at the end of the war the Monoceraptor was the puppet of some greater evil, although it is an open thread as to who this could have been. There is some speculation it could have been [[Dr. Sloth]], and other believe it was a joke from [[The Neopets Team]], who were testing the new [[Battledome]] system with the Tyrannian war and not creating a future plot.

The Monoceraptor was first mentioned in the Battledome's scrolling marquee, the day before the invasion itself began. The message read "''The Monoceraptor will crush your puny Tyrannia!''". Speculation as to who or what the Monoceraptor was was fuelled with a proclamation of his imminent arrival on 9th May. The Monoceraptor held true to his word, and stormed into Tyrannia the next day, after all his waves had been defeated.

The hastily assembled Tyrannian Army, weary from the intense waves of fighting that proceeded the Monoceraptor's arrival, fought together against him, until he was eventually defeated by a heroic [[Lupe]].

The '''Monoceraptors Claw''' (as it is an item name, there is no possessive apostrophe) is one of the most powerful and valued weapons in the Battledome. It was for a time available for purchase from the [[Hidden Tower]] before it was [[Retired]], and can now only be bought from another user. Interestingly enough, the Monoceraptors Claw is blood red and blade-like, conflicting with the green and yellow claw colour in images of the Monoceraptor.

I have decided to re-add [[Mayor Thumburt]] back into this article. Indeed it looks out of place here (as mentioned by [[User:Jacob|Jacob]] previously), but still he was transformed into a [[Moquot]] at the end of the [[The Tale of Woe]] plot. Ah, sorry. I had forgotten about ToW's ending. I had to leave Neopets for awhile during that plot and when I returned, all I could still do was read the comic. Didn't really make me regret not being able to participate; worst plot ever. So towards the end of the comic, I wasn't paying as much attention as I usually do, hence why I had forgotten about the Moquot spell. Also, his article doesn't mention it either. I need to know of each Petpetpet A. what insect/small creature it is based on and B. what its name is based on. It doesn't matter whether it's obvious or already mentioned in the article. :On what real life insects the petpetpets take, some of them (along with regular petpets) share similarities with a same insect, As there is the [[Spyder]] which is like a spider as well, and there are many different dog like petpets. Though it would hurt to point out a few of the insects some of the petpets may be similar to. Hmmm...how about [[Wikipedia:Firefly|Firefly]], [[Wikipedia:Coccinellidae|Coccinellidae]], [[Wikipedia:Phasmatodea|Phasmatodea]], and [[Wikipedia:Miridae|Miridae]]? that's a start on a look for similar petpetpets. Daily Dare 2009

The '''Daily Dare''' for 2009 is a yearly gaming [[plot]] which began on March 2, 2009, and is estimated to end on March 31, 2009. A new challenger called [[Lulu]] and 2 new kinds of challenges called the '''Double Dare''' and '''NC Challenge''' are introduced in this year Daily Dare.

==The Challenges==
Similar to [[Daily Dare 2007|Daily Dare in 2007]] and [[Daily Dare 2008|Daily Dare in 2008]], each day [[AAA|Aristotle]] and [[Abigail]] will challenge the user to beat their score of a particular game. The user will have to choose and beat either AAA or Abigail.

There is a new trophy that will be awarded this year along with the usual four. To get the Scoretacular trophy users must beat or match AAA's score and all four Double Dare challenges on the launch day of all 30 games.

===Double Dare===
In addition to this, 4 of these challenges will be a Double Dare challenge which users could accept to beat AAA's score for the chosen game and recieve both AAA and Abigail's prizes if they beat the required score. The "Double Dare" challenges will be available to be played once a week during March.

*The third challenge was on March 22, 2009 for [[Snow Roller]].
