'''Avatars''' are graphic icons which are displayed next to your username when you send a [[NeoMail]] or post a message in the [[NeoBoard]]s. You can change you avatar by going to the NeoBoards and clicking [http://neopets.com/neoboards/preferences.phtml Chat Prefrences].

There are 56 default avatars which are provided to players automatically, but there are currently over 300 secret avatars that can be unlocked. To find these, users must perform tasks such as getting a high score at a flash game (Score 10,000+ points in [[Snow Wars II]]), visiting a particular page (View the [[Grey Faerie]]'s [[Neopedia]] article), or equipping their pet with a special weapon (own a [[Grarrl]] and equip it with a '''Bony Grarrl Club'''). These are just a few ways to acquire them.

The place to bring your [[neopet]] to see how tough it is. Only pets with at least one hit point and that are not hungry may battle. Fights may be one-player (against challengers that are unlocked as [[random event]]s) or two-player (against the pets of other players). Battling is a very popular activity on the [[Neopets]] site, and the most powerful battle equipment can cost millions of [[neopoints]] to purchase.

There are a total of 7 different arenas to fight in (Regular, Stone, Ice, Island, Space, Water, and Tyrannian), though the only differecnes if battle it makes are the colour schemes of each individual Battledome.

'''Adam J. Powell''' (born December 20, 1976 in Wales) is the co-founder of [[Neopets]]. Jointly launched the website with [[Donna Williams]] on November 15, 1999, starting from an idea they had in 1997 while sitting in a dingy little computer room, possibly while eating kebabs or pizza.

Prior to founding Neopets, he was also involved in ''Shout! Advertising'', a UK-based advertising company which operated the third largest click-through program on the Internet by mid-1999. He also founded Powlex in March 1997, which designed and sold online banner advertising, and Netmagic in July 1999, which focused on web page design. Mr. Powell currently focuses on the technical and programming aspects of the Neopets website, and is still the head of the developers for the game.

Powell is mentioned in the hall of fame at his secondary school, Collingwood College, although he had a self-described "spectacular failure at university." He is also a former member of ''MENSA'' with an [[IQ]] of 174.

Powell has two cats in California called Sarah and Chani. In the United Kingdom he has four cats called Oscar, Daisy, Bill and Ben.

Like, the Magic Paw, you can write the story of the Magic Paw how you think it goes.

Comics are different then the other two. The comic is made out of pictures (drawn by yourself) and need to have a joke. A serious comic series can also be made and submitted, although you do need to send atleast 2 comic parts at a time. Comics need decent art and a good, understandable joke.

Series are long stories that have around the 1500 words for each part. The longest a series can be is 12 parts. These are stories with a plot that is too long for a short story. For example, it turns out to be 4600 words, it's 600 higher than the maximum limit for short stories. You can then divide it in 2 parts for a 2 part series.

If you are lucky, you can submit a question and get it answered in The Neopian Times. These are on the 'editorial' page in the Neopian Times, and they go from gameplay questions, to suggestions to questions about the merchandise.

Over the years the Neopian Times has gone through many appearance changes. The [http://images.neopets.com/nt first few issues appearance] had a banner of a man and a woman in 80's style with the text "For an easier life". Users could send in short stories, series and comics (comics section didn't appear until a later date). Pages still exist, but the links to the stories and comics don't work anymore.

The second version was released on ''(need date)'', was made out of tables and . While continuing to showcase stories, an official comics section was introduced in issue 57. This version also had a ''[[Guild]] Spotlight'', showcasing certain guilds on Neopets, but was stopped in issue ?, around the same time the banner was replaced with a gold engraving of a [[Jubjub]] reading the Neopian Times. The third look was a bigger version of the second look. The banner with the Jubjub was now changed to how many Neopians had read the Neopian Times instead of just saying 12,500,000.

The most recent one, and the one that most people know. It is a little bit like the third look, but it is easier to navigate in. It is not just a pile of text. The featured stories on the front page are in a blue table for example. The Editor who replaced him was Felicia or lovingly known as Ms Snowflake. She worked at Neopets in various roles (such as Email Support) and rose the ranks to become the Neopian Times Editor until issue 195.

She has now left Neopets to become an accountant.

Droplet then continued on and took the job of Editor. She was Snowflake's assistant.

The White Weewoo is a petpet on Neopets. The author [http://neopets.com/randomfriend.phtml?user=laurensama Laurensama], also known as Linny, wanted an White Weewoo to resemble Hedwig from Harry Potter so much, that fellow authors hid White Weewoo references in their stories, comics and articles.

The White Weewoo has become one of the symbols for the [http://ntwriters.proboards53.com/ NTWF] and was found on 23 October 2003. Snowflake gave the authors who were published in the week that the White Weewoo was released a White Petpet Paintbrush. October 28th could be seen as an Neopets holiday for writers, as the White Weewoo was officially released that day.

Besides being a Neopets help website, it has expanded into a community which has branched out to include many different topics, containing sub-sites dedicated to other topics, like [[Wikipedia:Harry Potter|Harry Potter]] and [[Wikipedia:Subeta|Subeta]], The PPT Empire shows little sign of slowing down. PinkPT has also expanded into the online gaming world itself. A new section of the site, [[Kaimon]], a game unlike any other text-based RPG online, is being developed.

Started in February of 2001 by '''Yukio''' and '''Alicia''' {a young woman he knew over the internet}, the fan site started with a meager 2 visitors per day and displayed answers to a small fraction of the Neopets games (notably [[Poogle Solitaire]] and [[Cliffhanger]]). As the content grew with each day, word went around and over 200 hits per day were being recorded by the end of February.

Alicia then created the [[Wikipedia:Oekaki|oekaki]], an online art board. Created on the servers of [http://www.unixdaemons.com unixdaemons], the oekaki quickly became a popular feature on the site and grew into an online community with at least 2,000 pieces of artwork being created every day. Due to the popularity, Sako's oekaki was created alongside PPT Oekaki, to compliment to extremely talented artists that were emerging from the oekaki. Unfortunately, the oekaki grew to the extent that no host could host it anymore as it was consuming a large amount of bandwidth (mainly due to the fact that the oekaki was image driven), nor could the owner of PinkPT afford it. Sadly, the oekaki was never re-created after unixdaemons emailed Yukio telling him that they can no longer host PPT's oekaki due to its "insane amount of generated traffic".

In March 2001, one month after opening, PPT was reaching visitors of up to 2000. It was also during this month Alicia decided to leave. She had her reasons of course, her life was busy as everyone's is, and that was a blow to me as she was the person that pushed me further, to help people. I couldn't of done so much without her behind and supporting me. 2 months down the track, she returned though and everything was once again set in motion :) Unfortunately, a further two months proved Alicia could not juggle her daily life with PPT so she resigned turning entire control of the website over to Yukio which was once considered by many to be PinkPT's worst move.

Near the end of April 2001, PPT was receiving 25,000 page views a day. In August, a representative from ''Peel Networks'' NaodW29-HTMLCommentStrip48fd66321bf0f8a800000001 approached PPT with a deal: In exchange for hosting on servers, PPT would advertise their US based magazine company. The offer was instantly approved as PPT was beginning to experience host troubles with hosts such as [http://www.virtualave.net Virtualave], [http://www.hypermart.net Hypermart] and [[Wikipedia:GeoCities|GeoCities]].

In September 2001, a new deep blue coloured layout created by '''Ben Williams''' from [http://www.hologramdesigns.com Hologram FX] was implemented, in an attempt to make it look professional and create organization for the site much sought after as the content volume had grown to over 100 pages. Early February 2002, marking PPT's first birthday, '''Mike''' joined, quickly learning the ins and outs of of [[Wikipedia:PHP|PHP]] and [[Wikipedia:MySQL|MySQL]] to create [[In-Depth Battlepedia]], providing in depth information and statistics to all [[Battledome]] related aspects on Neopets. In-Depth Battlepedia became an instant hit, quickly growing into a large site itself.

To solve this problem, PPT was approached by an admin at [[Wikipedia:YaBB|YaBB]] with an offer to host PPT's forums under the consideration it would change to the MySQL version. However, the host was unable to handle PPT's visitor load, and the account was frozen after one day. PPT then found a host called [http://www.aplus.net Aplus]. However all the membership information was inadvertently lost. Deciding to start fresh, the MySQL version of YaBB was once again used but due to false information about "unlimited system resources" claimed by Aplus, PPT forums were constantly down, unable to accommodate the growing fan base and visitor load. Once again reverting back to YaBB CGI in the hope that the forum problems would be solved, the forum once again went down after one week.

With the implementation of the news feature generously installed by '''NeoFan''' who worked with ''Neo-Net'' NaodW29-HTMLCommentStrip48fd66321bf0f8a800000003, updating became a simple task with a little click on a button. The PinkPT team was also joined by three charming ladies with wit to match, '''Amanda''', '''Sarah''' and '''Silver'''.

With the tremendous growth in emails the site was receiving, '''robot_blumaroo''' offered to take care of all Neopet related questions. He stayed with PPT for approximately three months before opting out. The help link was then redirected to the forum help boards.

Skilled in many programming languages, he quickly became one of the team, sharing ideas, creating extra features and in many regards co-webmasters the entire site itself. Once again many issues took place on the forums. A total revamp of the administration system at PPT occurred, with the administrators '''Janie''' and '''Bob''' leading the crew of Global Moderators and Moderators into a period of bug fixing. Unfortunately, an issue involving '''ChromeFox''' saw her demoted to a normal member, and a furious uproar took place within the Forums over the facts and points of "the case". In two months ChromeFox was came back into the PPT forum Crew as a moderator, and once again Forum life continuing as usual.

Nearing the end of January, '''Bob''', the first employed forum admin for PPT (aka 'man-with-big-stick'), resigned. Although many were taken by surprise, the forum crew saw it coming. Bob had achieved his goals of a forum admin, changing the little forum it was into one of the largest, safest and most friendly forum in relation to Neopets. Many thanks and well wishes were given, and it is believed Bob had carved his name into the minds and hearts of the PPT members, whose legacy still remains.

Now considered an annual event, it led to other creations such as '''PPT Survivor''' (which still is in progression), '''Mina's MMAC''' (Mina's Monthly Art Contest) and '''Hunter Lupe's PPT Staff Sacrificers''', which saw all male PPT members voted out first.

Early 2003 saw Hunter Lupe heading the new department at PPT called the [[In-Depth NeoQuest]] Guide. Growing very quickly, it is now one of the largest detailed [[NeoQuest]] sites on the internet, which contain complete walkthroughs and maps of the entire game. This department was created in anticipation of NeoQuest 2, which many people believe will take a long time before the actual game is released.

March 2003 saw the Work Shop department open at PPT. Encompassing tutorials on how to make models of various Neopets aspects; the idea quickly took on and received overwhelming support and good responses from the Neopets community. It is still currently being established and built.

During March 2003, the design of PinkPT was changed again. Opting the generic "blue" look all other sites seemed to now possess, PPT redesigned it's layout into a bold red, this time with the logo of the PPT Crew drawn by '''Mina''' as it's welcoming image. Once again designed by Hologram FX, the new layout expressed a cleaner and professional version of PPT. During this time, the first ever member to reach 10,000 posts was ChromeFox, A huge accomplishment considering the next biggest poster was behind by a few thousand posts.

Alongside all these new changes, came new staff. '''Magenta''', '''Alex''', '''Mermaid Hil''' and '''Swedevil''' joined the News Crew while PPT adopted the talents of '''Mina Kim''' and '''Lina Blade''' as artists. '''Stephy''' soon joined as the graphics artist at PPT, designing banners and buttons for various purposes. What PPT didn't anticipate this time however was the range of talents it was now adopting. It seemed each staff member at PPT had more than one single talent. Magenta, while posting excellent news also was very well versed in graphic design, while Stephy, who was originally founded as a forum moderator was soon found to also be an incredible graphics artist. Hunter Lupe, who was also modding the forums was soon discovered to be a phenomenal scripter and after critically looking at the staff again, PPT soon found that each staff member was directly contributing to more than one aspect at PPT! As a result, the PPT forums started taking on a more otaku-ish path, everyone lapping up the design atmosphere fueled by stephy's creations and Mina's art contests.

While these new developments were taking place, more somber issues were occurring outside of PPT. Late 2002 to early 2003 saw what would take place in what is commonly known as the "Fan Site Wars". Many new neopets related fan sites quickly sprang up and due to more than one website's immature attitude towards the entire game and taking the game way too seriously, a series of attacks on other websites, accusations, hackings, slander and libel quickly took place. PPT attempted to stay away from this as much as possible, only standing up for itself when the other website in question made a direct false statement against PPT. After the incident was finally resolved and a tentative 'peace agreement' was made between the other websites, PPT once again distanced itself from those websites for it did not wish to be a party to such events if they should occur again. PPT was created for the fans, and that's the way it will always be. It decided never to take part in any petty politics, which should never take place between fan sites. Just when everyone starting breathing again, another round of rumors began circulating. Many of them unfounded. However this time, the threat came from Neopets itself. Many fan sites found themselves under threat of having their websites removed unless they were in line with the Terms and Conditions set forth under Neopets. PPT went offline for a period of four days coincidently during this time, which started a fresh batch of rumors that PPT was removed which was untrue. However PPT once again opened up after its short down time and put a definite stop to the rumors.

In April 2003, forum moderator '''werepup''', fresh from a trip to Spain, joined the main PPT site as the newest webmistress of PPT. Dubbed Elle by the crew, Elle has given PPT the much needed female touch, as PPT was beginning to become too male orientated due to the over abundance of testosterone which was flying around everywhere.

Well there you have it. The third year so far has had many triumphs and tribulations while also its fair share of small problems, which were easily taken care of. I, Yukio, could not have taken PPT this without with the dedication and support of so many people. The forum mods, and GMs, the admins, the separate help of individual people, to list them all here would take forever. However some do stand out in my mind and I would like to take this opportunity to thank certain people. Janie and Bob for always being my "second parents" even though they didn't mean to. Elle for always being there to help out whenever she could. Jim, for spending countless hours talking about nothing with me. Sam, Hunter and Mike, the programming wiz kids with a "all-for-one-and-one-for-all" attitude. The news crew Magenta and Alexa, for being the anchor of the team, and CSK, V3n0m0us, Stephy, MichelleTheGoth, Mina, Lina, Pheny, Charisma, Cheezie and Michelle for just those random fun and crazy talks which seems prevalent among the PPT members. Lastly, Cyanna. While we hardly ever talk, you've always struck me as a very sensible, kind and fair person.

===Year 2004===
This is the year known amongst the PPT populace as ''The Great Reset''. The forum databases crashed and everything was lost on April of 2004. Since then, the community has rebuilt itself, and nearly all 10,000 members who were part of the forums before the crash joined again, many under different names.

===Year 2005===

September 2005 saw the overhaul of PPT. With over 1,400 pages of content, the site re-organized its many scattered links on the front page into self contained categories to make the site user friendly. PPT additionally made a vow to itself to serve the visitors, by getting rid of all the pop up advertising and download prompts that once plagued the site. This was eventually realized in 2005, when PPT moved off the '''wh000t networks'''NaodW29-HTMLCommentStrip48fd66321bf0f8a800000006 which was run by Yukio's friend at [http://www.worldofbritney.com World of Britney]. Although PPT still contains banner advertisements, the days of intrusive advertising were officially over.

With another redesign by Ben Williams of HologramFX, PPT now exuded a confidence in its bright colours. The forums grew to new heights, breaking its record of most users online (since the forum reset) of 149 on September 12, 2005, during the early days of the [[Lost Desert Plot]]. This online record has since been broken, but it became apparent the Neopets users were using PPT as a source of information before it became publicly available, which was totally fine by the PPTers.

PPT also saw programmers of [[The Neopets Team]] posting on the forums to interact with Neopets players, even [[Donna Williams]] and [[Adam Powell]]. This would eventuate to Neopets changing the description of the '''Pink Poogle Toy''' on Neopets to "''This lovely pink poogle moans about banner ads and frozen accounts when you squeeze it! :P''". In fact, Adam Powell wrote "Detention for PPTForum!" on an image of the discovered NeoSchools area when members of the PPT Forum announced it before it was announced by Neopets themselves.

2005 also saw PPT open its doors to other Neopets fan sites. With the advent of all the new Neopets fan sites, PPT welcomed them by creating a large link database for everyone to join. The neolinks page NaodW29-HTMLCommentStrip48fd66321bf0f8a800000007 listed some of the more prominent websites, but was always open to accept links to and from sites that clearly have shown a lot of effort in them.

In 2005, the PPT top sites, which opened and then closed due to hosting problems, re-opened. It's now the largest Neopets-related topsites in the world and is listed as one of the largest hosted topsites on [http://www.itopsites.com iTopsites].

The PPT Oekaki flourished to new heights during 2005, making it one of the largest oekakis available. Now on its own dedicated server, the population has once again grew, and on March 3, 2006 had over 20,000 individual pieces of artwork created on it.

On March 2, 2006, a new website layout was created by Ben of [http://www.hologramdesigns.com HologramFX], replacing the previous layout which started to become cluttered due to the amount of content on the site, solved in the new design which categorized everything into distinguishable areas.

With the redesign of PPT finished, Yukio began to focus on creating a PPT news team for unreleased Neopets news, a comprehensive pre-template layouts section for users to have on their [[User Lookup]], promoting the Avatar Catalog NaodW29-HTMLCommentStrip48fd66321bf0f8a800000009, and promoting the NeoDex and turning it into the most comprehensive place online source for all Neopets information. Eventually, he hoped the NeoDex to also be used by [[The Neopets Team]] for reference purposes for their work in addition to anyone who wanted to learn a little bit more about Neopets. Yukio also saw the potential to turn the entire site into an entertainment network, and eventually leverage the site traffic into other areas of his work.

During the appearance of the new design the "Write An Article Contest" begun to take full effect NaodW29-HTMLCommentStrip48fd66321bf0f8a80000000A. Two months after its creation people were sending in many entires to Yukio, who quoted he had over 800 emails in his inbox waiting to be replied to in addition to over 60 contest entires to look at, add to PPT and judge on On March 4, 2006.

Another redesign was made yet again by HologramFX on August 13, 2006, making the previous pink colour more purple and reordering the categories the layout again. On August 15, the [ PPT Promenade] opened up for Neopets users to buy from. The PPT Promenade was a "mall" (collection of user [[shop]]s) owned and maintained by users of PinkPT. The '''Your Neopet Dailies''' was also created on ''(need date)'', and contained several quick links, features, and many other things a user would daily do.

==The Forum Community==
One of the more popular areas of PinkPT is the large community hosted on the phpBB forum. Within its walls, PinkPTers (a person who often visit PinkPT) converse about all things Neopets and many other topics. PinkPTers have been described as hard-working, fun-loving insane people, much as PinkPT is meant to be. With the help of the forum, a lot of content, and a great community, PinkPT has developed their own little slice of online culture.

Currently under the eye of the three administrators. Jim, the weird guy, handles the disciplinary side of things. Hunter Lupe handles the technical side of it. Runevalkyrie is more a watchful eye over the staff, as many things have gone wrong in its past.

===The "One Black Meowclops Pen" Experiment===
The OBMP experiment was started by PinkPT user [http://www.pinkpt.com/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=4911 jrtman] who was inspired by Kyle MacDonald's very successful [http://oneredpaperclip.blogspot.com One Red Paperclip] experiment in which Mr. MacDonald started with a single red paperclip and hoped to trade up until he received a house.

Jrtman created the OBMP experiment to see if he could recreate ORP in the world of Neopets. A small webpage for the experiment was put up on his pet PrinceGrizzly's [http://www.neopets.com/~PrinceGrizzly petpage] explaining the experiment and listing the usernames of every person who contributed to it.

The mission was to start with a single Black Meowclops Pen (worth around 2k Neopoints) and continue to trade for slightly better things until the goal of a complete Secret Laboratory Map set (9 pieces) was reached successfully.

===Memoirs From PPTers===
I remember when Hunter was in the chatbox, and he changed the little title about every five minutes. Once, he spelt bizarre wrong, too. Once in the chatbox, somebody was "mysteriously" kicking random people and nobody could figure out which mod was doing it. - Caesara

PI basically started when somebody who I believe is no longer a member suggested starting a paper of sorts for PPT. I offered to help with it, and started a thread in Misc Disc, asking if anybody would be willing to help. It got loads of responses, and millions of suggestions. (I won't go into all the little details of who did what and all that, because the list IS rather long) The first PI staff was created, and all we needed was somewhere to start. At first PI was going to be set up on angelfire, by Lilac, who had offered to do the job, provided she had everything. Then Hunter stepped in and offered to do it for us. (Thank you, Hunter!) So the CP was created, along with the front page, and all that stuff. The original thread in Misc Disc, by then, had been split numerous times and had about 50 pages in total. When the first issue came out, it didn't have much in it and had a few mistakes (on our part), but everybody was happy. (If I haven't mentioned it yet, PI was started mid-August of '03.) By December the staff had changed numerous times, and we were doing quite a bit better. We had our ups and downs (mostly me forgetting to release the issue or being lazy or something else wrong on my part *ahem*). Then we appealed to Jim for a usergroup. After a while of bugging him about it, it was created, and Pudding was set in charge as the mod. After a while Yoshi was added as the co-mod, and then PPT went down. - Caesara

:If someone asked me to name my favorite PPT memory, I'd laugh in their face. PPT has created so many memories for me that it's impossible to pick a favorite. But some of my special ones include becoming Capo in the PPT Mafia. Being Capo means that you've caught one thousand scammers and reported them. Becoming Capo was such a huge accomplishment for me. It made me feel special to be only the second Capo in all of PPT history. The Mafia has always been one of my favorite usergroups because it gave me a reason to work towards something in PPT. I really, really loved being able to leave PPT in the evenings and feel like I had, in a way, made Neopets a little bit of a better place because of the scammers I had caught. Another huge memory I have is starting PPTAAC in February of 2004. PPTAAC stands for 'PPTers Against Animal Cruelty'. It all started as just a 'Boycott Petco' thread, but soon developed to be one of the few clubs on PPT with a good purpose. At first, it surprised me at how many people were interested in our cause. We suddenly had a huge amount of people volunteering to make graphics and work at their local animal shelters. I remember that after mentioning volunteering at the local Humane Society, tons of PPTAAC members posted that they'd checked out their Humane Society and local shelters and a few of them volunteered. It made me kind of proud that I belonged to a forum with such good and caring people. Speaking of good and caring people, I remember numerous times where PPT members cared about me. There was one time recently when I had an ear infection, and just overnight, over 20 people replied and told me to get well soon, and many also suggested things to make the infection go away. I especially remember Twinkle messaging me personally to ask if I was okay. She told me that she had read my thread on the infection and cared enough to personally message and ask if I was okay- and that meant so, so much to me. Another huge memory I got from PPT was becoming a PPT God. For those of you who don't know, a PPT God is a user who achieves one thousand posts. After becoming a PPT God, I quickly joined ASP, one of PPT's random and crazy groups. I loved ASP because it gave me a chance to be as crazy and loud as I wanted to be, and my opinion was always heard when I wanted it to be. ASP's initials stand for 'Avs, Soda, Pudding'. Avs is to stand for Lady Night, who makes avatars and was a founder. Soda stands for the user Soda, another founder. And Pudding stands for Pudding, another founder. ASP was completely secret, which was just another aspect I loved about it. Another memory was the restart of the PPT Gnome Legion. I was, and still am, the Great Gnome Mistress. The Gnomes were supposed to welcome new members, hold giveaways, and just do nice stuff. And now comes one of my fondest memories- being accepted into the Pink Ink. The Pink Ink is PPT's official newspaper, and I was always in awe of the writers. One day, Cae- the newspaper founder- opened up applications. I applied first for Forum Writer, didn't make it, then applied for Entertainment- and got in! I felt so happy for weeks afterward. The Pink Ink board was the best... everyone was so welcoming and encouraging. Even though I only got a chance to write 2 articles before the forums went down, I still loved every minute of being a PI writer. All in all, PPT is a wonderful community that I'm glad to be a part of. Everyone is so nice and encouraging, and always there for you. The only thing I don't like about it is that I didn't join sooner. - Bagel

Theres a lot of memories in PPT, regaurdless of when you joined. They were made everyday and they seem to keep on popping up. From what I've read, we need to write about the memories which we hold dear to ourselves that have happened over the past years. One which stands out is Fe and that elbow licking. I thought it was totally gross when that came up but it turned out to be some awesome fun. Both PPTbies were really awesome to see. The whole "Chrome for Pres" thing still cracks me up. I suppose one of the memories which actually include me that I have is when I found out that someone who I knew online, and someone who I also knew offline were the same person. I had met a fellow PPTer and known him for nearly a year. That PPTers is Ammer and I think I can say that I've made an awesome friend off such an event. I remember being Ill last November and posting a "Cookie" thread cause I wanted to bake. That was the day I got the most awesome cookie recipe ever. Welsh Cookies. Another one would be my birthday. I wont be forgetting coming online and seeing a "Happy Birthday Xil" Thread. That was awesome. Jasujo's birthday was right around then too!! Heck, Anyones birthday should really count as a memory. It's a great feeling coming online and seeing all your friends posting "Happy Birthday" or something to that effect. - Xil

I owe PPT more NP then I'm worth. Everyday the first thing I would do was log onto neopets, and open PPT to do my treasure Map quest.(This was years ago). Then, when y'all started putting up the Cliffhanger anwsers, I started doing those too! It hit a point where I was on PPT far more than Neopets and I hadn't even signed up for the Forums at that time. :-P It was at the end of Grade 8 which I got caught on PPT at school, I was sent to my vice principal and had to explain what it was I was doing here. Hmm, one thing that comes to mind was Mr. Adam Face (is hot!)'s journey to TNT Headquarters. It was right before the Time Warp, I think. I don't know exactly how long the thread got, but it was over 20 pages I think. The first time he was turned back (because he had [[Asparagus]], I think...?), but he went out again. I'm pretty sure that he came back around the Time Warp but no one knew what happened to him since he hadn't posted, so we were speculating... did TNT hold him hostage? He wrote up a big article, it was in the PPT news, but I don't know if it would still be there. You said what kind of things you wanted in your set, and someone made one for you, but you didn't know who it was. Near Christmas, everyone got their set and had to guess who their Secret Santa was. I remember being Knives' Secret Santa. I was awful at making graphics back then, and I remember him trying to be nice and saying that he liked the set I made him. Before I joined, I "lived" at IDNQ. Strangefire420 mentioned these forums, and one time when I was banned from IDNQ...I think it was the second time (I got banned 4 times I think. Such a naïve friends555 I was.)...I came here. I posted my first message. It was about me being banned from IDNQ and coming here to fill my time. I got a bunch of replies, but I only remember one: "Jump on the banned wagon!" I remember also I said in my post "oh no, hunter's modding". The admins at the time were SL, Jim, and Janie. Bob was "Back to Modding". Hunter was a moddy and Rune was just a member...y. Icey joined and we had a post-count race...he was winning until he stopped at 160...I went on to a post count of around 2k (if you count the posts I made on this new forum.) After a while, I stopped looking for my old IDNQ friends and made some new friends. I don't really remember who my first few friends were, but now I'm pretty comfortable around everyone here, so it doesn't really matter who I am or was closer with. I remember a bunch of old mods that I never really knew. I also remember Venny...and my short obsession with him after I joined Divas...and how I kept threatening to get Faye a tongue-ectomy because he liked her. I remember the Outkasts, and when Venny left, and when Lillie aka Ten Snow took over. I remember trying to get into as many groups as possible...including the not-a-usergroup CCC. I kept hoping Cheese would notice my little "tour guide" newbie-scaring post. It turns out he did remember (after the CCC was disbanded and re-made in Gods months later, I asked him) but he never asked me to join...I was too shy to request it for myself. I remember the time warp. I was typing up a post for the one RP I have ever been in (I knew absolutely nothing about the topic or how to RP...silly little Tymaporer), and suddenly I got this weird error message that I'd never seen before. I clicked the back button and saved my post (it's gone now) and after about a minute, the forums came back. I never noticed the date it said (July 14...it was actually August 5.) I simply went back to post my thing on the RP, and upon noticing that it wasn't there, I posted a topic in SDIS (or Q&A, I can't remember) titled "HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Hehehe...I was so young. I remember creating a second account under the name Venalina (that was when Venny was done being a girl) and Janie caught me after 10 posts...I did it because I was trying to remember what it was like to be a newbie. Seriously, that’s why. I remember around the holidays, everyone changed their names (I was .frostie555 O_o) and Jim was The Jimch. I wrote a song based off Jim’s new name called “You’re a Green One, Mr. Jimch”, and sent it to him. I think he liked it. I remember the second PPTbies. I really wanted to win something, and Bob had just left, so I made a fake screenshot of the admin-only board...it had three topics visible in that part of the “screenshot”. One was by SL, asking why the admin board needed a moderator. One was by Jim, saying that anyone who didn’t vote for me would have their account deleted. And the last one was by Bob, saying that he didn’t vote for me. (I almost got a strike for it.) Needless to say, I wasn’t even a top nominee in any category... I remember that April Fool’s Day stuff. Wibble. XD And there were the mod clones, and I started a line of “member clones”, and then there was...what else? It was so long ago. I remember my first anniversary, and how I posted an essay that I wrote for English class about PPT, and then how my birthday thread got almost no posts because my birthday was three days after my anniversary and everyone was wishing me happy early birthday on my anniversary thread. :I remember during the PPTBies one year, when Fiddelysquat and ChromeFox were both in the running for "Best Moderator," Fidds made an artificial report about all of the bad stuff Chrome had ever done, complete with a picture from UglyPeople.com of some woman who didn't have a chin. I remember looking at a thread when I first joined in the end of January 2003 and seeing a post by someone with a picture of a fridge full of beer with a message that said "Hey look, I found a picture of Wataguy's fridge!" And Wataguy's reply of "Hey, if you want a beer just ask, don't go snooping." or something like that, probably funnier then what I put but it was two and a half years ago! I remember Jim's mutant kacheek avatar too. Despite the fact that PinkPT has such a wide fan base, it has also ranked up a number of enemies. As the largest Neopets fan site, many runners of other sites claimed that PinkPT is a site that encourages a multitude of problems, including spyware, viruses and hardcore pornography. Of course, this is not true. Though the websites sports a number of advertisements, the management makes sure that no illegal content makes its way onto the computer. Not only other site runners have grudges, as many older members of the community come back to antagonize the forums. Still, with over 4,000 members, it could be considered the largest fan site for Neopets.

== Mascot ==
The most noted celebrity on PinkPT is the chicken, Arrow. In the beginning, it started out as an Emoticon, but this chicken has been officially raised to the 'mascot' of PPT. At the top of the forum, one can see the banner. There is a picture of Arrow, painted by the resident artist, the wonderful Yoshi. In various forms, during the holiday seasons, one can see Arrow in such forms as the roast chicken during Thanksgiving, and a Cupid arrow, during St. Valentine's Day

The Pink Poogle Toy item on Neopets has had its description changed to "This lovely pink poogle moans about banner ads and frozen accounts when you squeeze it! :P", a playful reference to the members of PPT forums, many of whom frequently complain about various aspects of Neopets.

Deep within the Haunted Woods users happen upon a [[Gypsy Camp]], where a Pink [[Elephante]] greets and warns them of the dangers of the woods - "[...] Trees and creatures roam the night, and they can swallow the unwary. It's no accident that so many legends and myths surround this place [...]" - and reads the user a story of [[Gilly]], when she visited the Camp and heard the story of Neovia...

===The Legend of Neovia===
The Elephante began his tale of a family of [[Edmund]] and [[Alice]], and their three children: sons [[Bruno]] and [[Reginald]], and daughter [[Sophie]] (who the Elephante avoids mentioning until his story is almost over). They lived in [[Neovia]], and had many troubles. Bruno sought the affection of [[Lily]], but lacked the charm and strength to court her, and was not helped in his attempts by [[Oscar]], Lily's current protective companion.

After Oscar hit Bruno for talking to Lilly, Bruno resigned to his fate but stumbled upon [[Mr. Krawley]], who offered him a potion which would make all his troubles go away for only a few [[Neopoints]]. After drinking the potion, the very next day he was handsome, strong and much more presentable to Lily.

Edmund claimed Bruno was foolish to take such an action, complaining that one must work for success. However, when he was offered the potion by [[Mr. Krawley]], he reluctantly took it to resolve the family's financial hardship. Like Bruno, the elixir worked and he became rich within the next few days. With the testimonials of Bruno and his father, word of the potions spread quickly. When Reginald took a potion as well, increasing his intelligence and knowledge, the popularity of the elixir was assured. Before long, everyone was taking the potions to have their wishes - such things as height, beauty and youth - granted with a single swig, and only the innocent, such as [[Sophie]], refrained from drinking the potion.

The potion seemed to give everyone in Neovia happiness... but as the days passed, the effects of the potion continued to make their wishes more twisted. Edmund became suspicious of everyone, carefully guarding over his fortune. Bruno became a muscular, deformed monster. Reginald became lonely, seeking refuge in his books when people couldn't stand to talk to him and his great intellect. Curses like this spread to everyone who drank the potion, and the angry town joined together and searched for [[Mr. Krawley]], only to find he had disappeared. They then decided to put the blame on the family which advertised the elixir, and attacked Edmund's home.

Bruno ran outside to distract the villagers while Reginald and Sophie sneaked out the back and ran for the woods. In the forest, they encountered [[Ilere]], who said Sophie had no where else to go but in her care. Reginald refused such an action, but relented when Sophie went of her own free will, saying she felt safe with Ilere. Returning back to Neovia, Reginald saw Bruno being chased into the woods outside of town, and escorted his parents to an abandoned mansion on the other side of town, used in the past for games of hide-and-seek.

Bruno lost those chasing him in the forest, and when the towns people returned they attacked, determined for retribution. Suddenly, the Mayor of the town stopped them, realizing they must be cured before they can hold those responsible to account. The Neovians summon [[The Spirit of Slumber]], who cures them with magic, but extracts a terrible price...

===The Ruins of Neovia===

The story ends and Gilly goes to sleep, and after a night's rest she sets out into the woods and stumbles upon Neovia itself. The small town is in ruins, but after looking through a burnt wreck of a house she found a strange silver locket hidden, with the picture inside decayed beyond recognition.

Gilly headed to the [[Deserted Fairground]] and took the locket to [[Lyanka]], of the [[Cork Gun Gallery]]; [[Leeroy]], of the [[Coconut Shy]]; [[Harker]], of the [[Bagatelle]] stall; and [[Ssidney]], of [[Ssidney's Scratch Cards]]. None of them knew who the owner was, although some seemed impressed with the metalwork and one mentioned they were quite popular a long time ago. Heading back to Neovia for more information, she discovers a path leading to a hut in the swampy part of the woods.

===Bruno's Cave===

At the hut, Gilly met the adult Sophie, who snatched the locket and shouted for the Usul to leave and not to disturb her. Gilly ran off through the rain and took shelter in a cave. Inside, amongst strange, old artifacts, she was stalked by a dark creature. By arranging a mirror, a broken lamp post, and a chair around a pile of food for bait, Gilly managed to get the monster to eat some of the food, leap back from its own reflection, and stumble across the lamp post and into the chair, where it banged its head and fell into the moonlight, revealing itself to be the horribly disfigured Bruno.

Taking pity on Bruno for her actions, even though he was trying to scare her, Gilly approached him, only to be chased outside of the cave. Gilly ran all the way back to Sophie's hut, asking to be let in from the chasing Bruno, and Sophie answered the door angrily, but calmed into shock when she saw Bruno was alive.

Exposition ensues as brother and sister relate their stories: Bruno, hiding from the townspeople, had hidden in the deepest, darkest recesses of the Haunted Woods, never daring to return to Neovia. Sophie, on the other hand, had indeed gone with Ilere... only to be given a chest with "all you need to survive", as well as the hut, and effectively left to fend for herself.

Sophie explained that some days after she had settled into the hut, she returned to Neovia to find only deserted buildings. Sophie returned several times in the weeks that followed, but there was no sign of what had happened to the residents - until she visited the town on Halloween night.

When Sophie returned to Neovia that night, its streets bustled with life again. She noticed something was wrong, however. The Neovian's faces were blank, they walked about doing their daily actions in silence - no speech, no play, no desire or thought or emotion: Just action, without need. Upon accidentally touching one of the returned townsmen, she put her hand straight through him. Sophie quickly concluded that they were not physically there, and returned to her hut to work on a cure. The next day, however, the town was once again deserted. For ten years, Sophie revealed, she had been working to cure the Neovians, and had little else left to try.

Gilly, almost forgotten in the exchange between brother and sister, spoke up, remembering the Gypsy Elephante's story. She explained the Spirit of Slumber's involvement, realizing that this must be the "terrible price" mentioned in the story - while the spirit restored them to their forms before their use of Mr Krawley's potion, the residents of Neovia were no longer aware of themselves, unable to enjoy their restoration. Sophie is skeptical that this will help at all, but finally elects to try for information from Ilere. She's even more reluctant to bring Gilly along, but Bruno pleads the Usul's case; she relents, providing Gilly won't "... get in the way. Got it."

===Finding Ilere===

After much searching, the trio finally found their way to Ilere's home - a large and admittedly spooky tree, deep in the heart of the woods. They inquired within, and Ilere acknowledged Sophie. Sophie explained that they needed her help to restore the people of Neovia, and Gilly explained that it was a spell cast by the Spirit of Slumber.

Ilere claimed that the Spirit of Slumber had power "not to be trifled with", and that her visitors should abandon their efforts before they got hurt.

Suddenly, an enraged Bruno attacked Ilere, who brought up a shield of green magic. Before anything further could develop, Sophie caught the Faerie and her brother in a magical spell. Bruno explained that he could feel Ilere's power, and it was great; yet she had done nothing to help Neovia ten years ago, and refused to even give a helping word.

Ilere acknowledged that the three were not as weak as she had thought; when prompted by Sophie, she told them that the Spirit of Slumber was an ancient, powerful spirit of a Neopet that had died long ago. The Earth Faerie said that there were others in the Haunted Woods that would be better versed on the legends surrounding the creature.

As the trio turned to leave, Ilere spoke once more. "Sophie... for your own sake... I hope you fail."

===Seeking the Spirit===

As Bruno groused over Ilere's lack of help, Gilly had an idea; since they needed to know who the Spirit of Slumber was, why not ask the Brain Tree? Sophie refused; she said that she had had a bad experience with the Brain Tree, and refused to elaborate. Gilly, brimming with enthusiasm, started dragging her along, only to receive a blast of Sophie's magic as a blatant refusal.

Bruno rebuked her - Gilly was only a little girl, after all, and the Brain Tree likely had information they needed. Blasting her was completely uncalled for. Reluctantly apologizing, Sophie finally accepted their new destination.

The Brain Tree offered the trio the Spirit's name, but required its date of death before hand. On visiting the Esophagor (as users do on Brain Tree Quests, and over Sophie's considerably-milder objection) in order to find the date of death, the Esophagor pleaded ignorance; because the Spirit of Slumber had not truly died, he required the name in order to give the date.

This stymied Gilly, as it created a circular paradox; they needed the name to get the date, and the date to get the name. Sophie, however, had an idea; if they could find the Spirit of Slumber's earthly bones, she could brew a potion that would tell them his date of death. In answer to Bruno's observation that, without the Spirit's name, they couldn't know which grave was his, Sophie answered, "It's obvious; we'll have to dig up every grave in the Haunted Woods." Her brother and Gilly gulped in understandable fear at the thought.

===Seeking the Spirit's Name===

The three heroes arrived at the Caretaker's Shack to find that the Caretaker's indices had been stolen; without them, no list of graveyards or graves could be made, and thus no search. After an extended hunt through a maze (corresponding to the plot action of the Fetch! game), the indices were recovered and "borrowed" by Sophie.

True enough, Bruno did have to dig up just about every grave in the Haunted Woods; but finally, much to the relief of all concerned, the bones of the Spirit of Slumber were located. "Which grave did these come from?", Sophie asked Gilly in excitement. Gilly turned and pointed to...

... the jagged remains of a headstone. The name section had been smashed to rubble. After all that work, our adventurers now found they needed to go back through every single graveyard, marking the legible names out in the indices as they went! This, of course, did not please the Caretaker, as he was not too keen on the permanent "borrowing" of his indices...

===A Name To Conjure By===

With the name finally found, our three heroes were joyful. Now that they had his name, they could conjure the Spirit of Slumber and ask him to undo how work upon the citizens of Neovia. As Bruno tousled Gilly's headfur, Sophie pored over her book...

Sophie slammed the book. "It won't work", she said. The only way to use the potion to summon the Spirit of Slumber was for someone to drink it, allowing the spirit to inhabit their body.

Bruno volunteered. To Sophie's heartfelt objections, he simply pointed out that he was the only choice; Gilly was too small, and Sophie was needed to work the magic. "I can't lose you again", Sophie sobbed quietly. "It's the only way to bring back Neovia", Bruno reminded her. "To bring back our family."

"Trust me."

==Plot Solution==

===Finding the Locket===

In [[Neovia]], the user must visit the burnt-down, although fairly structurally intact, house in the lower right section of the [http://www.neopets.com/halloween/hwp/neovia.phtml Neovia map]. At this point in the plot, this house is the only visitable place in the town.

Every co-ordinate of the map is linked, but only certain key co-ordinates produce an individual result. These co-ordinates are:

*(67,201) -- Chair
*(80,135) -- Fireplace
*(147,218) -- Couch End
*(150,115) -- Bookcase
*(175,145) -- Crack in the Wall
*(186,186) -- Sofa Couch
*(210,130) -- Broken Staircase

*(364,195) -- Table Leg

The co-ordinates exist in the URL of the links. The structure of the URL used in conjunction with the locations in the map follow the following format: '''<nowiki>http://www.neopets.com/halloween/hwp/neovia.phtml?hvh=</nowiki>''[House Code Identifier]''?''[x,y]''''' thus the co-ordinates can be manipulated by changing them at the end of the URL link. This makes hopping to the above locations very easy.

When visiting the locations above, there will be one of the ten (which is random for each user) where Gilly finds the charred silver locket. A form button will appear beneath the locket, which when clicked will add the locket to the Quest Inventory.

===At the Fairground===

After the locket has been gained, the user must head to the [[Deserted Fairground]], where the following four characters will talk to Gilly about the locket she has found:

*Harker the [[Lupe]], at the Bagatelle stall.
*Lyanka the [[Aisha]], at the Cork Gun Gallery.
*Leeroy the [[Quiggle]], at the Coconut Shy.
*Ssidney the [[Nimmo]], at Ssidney's Scratch Cards.

The conversations appear bellow the games themselves. There have been some bugs where the conversations do not appear. Methods of rectifying it include clearing one's cache, refreshing, or playing one of the four games.

Each of the characters will give a different conversation, and while these are four set characters, it is random for each user which character has which conversation. Each conversation starts with one of the following opening lines:

*"Why, certainly, little miss... Well, what a pretty little trinket this is. I haven't seen one like it in years."
*"Amazing! I haven't seen such metalwork in, oh, must be ten years. Where did you say you found it?"
*"That piece of junk? It looks like a hundred other lockets I've seen."
*"It looks familiar... where did you get it? I know someone who'd pay a thousand Neopoints for that locket, though. At least, I used to. Haven't seen her in ages."

When the characters are visited so that the conversations appear in the above order, Gilly will decide that nobody will help her there. Back in Neovia, a small path that leads away from the town becomes hyperlinked to a new site, Sophie's Shack.

===At the Cave===

After visiting Sophie's Shack, Sophie will run the user off. Clicking the form button bellow, "Flee in Terror", will bring Gilly to a dark cave. Clicking the "Go into the scary cave..." button will send Gilly inside.

The cave is unique to everyone, but consists of a 3 x 3 grid of rooms, which all have at least one doorway into them. In the cave, there are several items, some of which can be carried and some of which can't. The chest and the table cannot be picked up, but the lamppost, chair, mirror, rotten food, and key can. Additionally, at least one of the rooms will have a pool of moonlight in the centre.

The user can pick up one object at a time, and can be placed down at a certain co-ordinate in the same way as the user searched for the locket in Neovia.

When moving about the cave, occasionally the message "Something seems to be following you..." will appear under the picture of the room. It will eventually catch up with you, and it will scare Gilly into a random room. By placing the Rotten Food object on the ground in one of the rooms, when the monster passes through it, they will, instead of scaring Gilly into a random location, stop and eat. They will then become disoriented and run off to a random room.

The user must set up a trap in a moonlit room in order to illuminate the creature. To do this, the following items must be placed at the following co-ordinates of a room with a pool of moonlight in the centre:

*Mirror at (240,330).
*Lamppost at (240,215).
*Chair at (235,160), or sometimes (225,155).
*Rotten Food at (330,325).

When the monster follows Gilly into the room, it will eat the bait, see its reflection in the mirror, stumble backwards over the lamppost, crack its head on the chair and collapse into the light.

===Into the Woods===

When the user returns to Sophie's Shack, a section of dialogue will be visible of the troupe - Gilly, Sophie and Bruno - where they decide to head out to find Ilere.

There are three sections to find Ilere, each section works in a similar way. Each section is a [[Wikipedia:Adobe Flash|Flash]] maze, where you will see a screen with several paths leading from it. One of these (except for the first screen of each maze) will take the user back to the previous screen. In each section, there is an item, or several items, that must be collected to advance.

====The Swamp====

In the first section, there is a two-headed [[Hissi]] blocking one of the paths. When the user clicks on him, they are told that one of the Hissi's heads will always speak the truth, and the other will always lie. The Hissi is too busy arguing with himself to listen to any questions you give it, so the problem cannot be solved simply by using logic.

The user must find a stick in the maze, and click on it to bring it into their Quest Inventory. The user must then return to the Hissi and, by clicking on the stick in the inventory then on the Neopet, prod it. One of the Hissi's heads will deny that you poked it, so the other head must be telling the truth. This opens the way into the next section.

====The High Woods====

In the section segment, there is a clearing somewhere in the woods where there is a break in the trees. This is where there is a cliff, and to proceed, you must descend it.

Around the maze are five types of vine, six of each, which can be picked up in the same manner as the stick in the previous section. These vines must be assembled in a combination, random to each person, to construct a rope for a descent of the cliff.

An effective way of determining which combination to use is to drop all vines at the clearing by clicking them in the inventory and clicking on the terrain, putting them into piles of type, and then trying with six of each in one's inventory until the user is shown a cutscene of the cliff, where the rope is too short. The user should add a vine from the next pile to the inventory, and continue doing so, testing after each vine, until the vine becomes too weak or the bottom is reached. In the former event, the last vine added should be removed, and a vine from the next pile included, with the process continuing.

Once the vine-rope reaches the base of the cliff, the three Neopets will climb down, and the next section will start. Note that it is possible to construct a rope with more than three sets of vines, but inadvisable; the rope will then be snatched away by a monster, and the vines scattered through the woods again.

====The Deep Woods====

In this maze, the object is to collect the seven ghost [[Meepits]], and then use them to open the lock to Ilere's tree residence.

When the user first encounters a Meepit in the forest, it will run away. After this happens, the user must play [[Meepit Juice Break]] and send a score of 400 points or more. This will place a glass of Meepit Juice into the Quest Inventory. The next time a Meepit is encountered, clicking on this in the inventory, then clicking on the Meepit, will offer the juice to the [[Petpet]]. The juice will splash through it, however, and it will run off. Sophie will turn the Meepit Juice into Ghost Meepit Juice, and when the above procedure is repeated, this time the Meepit will become entranced and follow as part of the Quest Inventory.

Once all seven Meepits are collected, Ilere's tree must be found. It is covered by a stone barricade, engraved with runes, and seven spots of light sit on the floor in front of it. Clicking on the Meepit picture in the Quest Inventory, then on the floor, will cause the seven Meepits to hop onto the spots. The Meepits must be rearranged, by clicking two adjacent the Ghost Meepits (which will exchange their positions), until all the Meepits are dancing. Visual hints make this relatively simple:

* Happy Meepits are one space from their proper position.
* Staring Meepits are two spaces from their proper position.
* Sad Meepits are more than two spaces from their proper position.

As there are only seven positions, this reduces the possibilities to two for each Meepit.

When all the Meepits dance, the stone door will move and Ilere's home will be open.

===The Graveyard===

The user next needs to find the graveyard of the Spirit. At the [[Game Graveyard]], there is a new picture of The Caretaker's Vault: click on it to enter.

The Caretaker (an easily-angered blue Yurble) angrily informs the user that his indices are missing. Without them, he cannot locate a the graveyard or grave of anyone.

The books must be found. If the user plays [[Fetch!]] on hard difficulty, they will find somewhere in the maze a pile of books. When the user reaches it, as it's certainly not what the Master asked for, you'll be told to "Flee", with that being the only button on the page.

After clicking the "Fleeing sounds pretty good right now..." button, the Fetch! game is over; when the user returns to the Caretaker's vault, the Yurble will be happy to see the return of his records.

===Grave Digging===

With the indices carefully checked, the user then must begin to search for the correct grave. There are three different tasks to perform as part of this section: digging up the graves, retrieving potion ingredients to increase the drops of potion available, and using the potion on dug up bones in order to determine if it is a bone from the Spirit of Slumber.

These tasks are not performed in sequence and finished in the same way as finding Ilere. Every single grave from a multitude of graveyards must be dug up, and every single grave tested with the potion. It is a dauntingly huge task, but fortunately, every user working on the plot works together, much like working on the repository of the [[Lost Desert Plot]].

To start searching for the Spirit's mortal body, the user must visit the Caretaker's Vault again and click the "Examine the graveyards list" button. Then, a graveyard must be selected from a list of graveyard designations, and the user is brought up to the graveyard's control panel, where each task can be selected.

====Digging Up Graves====

This section of the plot began October 20, 2006, and was completed October 23, 2006. The graveyards are no longer active.

Clicking the 'Enter graveyard' button brought the user to a map of the graveyard. The graveyard was divided up into many squares. The square the user was currently on was shown by a black border around the square. The user moved around the graveyard by clicking other squares to go to them (the user could only click on squares they could reach from their current position without walking over graves or barriers).

Many of the squares contained gravestones. If the gravestone had a small pile of dirt in front of it, it signified that the digging was underway. If there was a large section of dirt in front of it, it signified that the grave was open and empty. If there was a large section of dirt with bones in front of it, it signified that the grave was open and the coffin exposed. If there was no dirt in front of it, digging had yet to begin (although diggers may be waiting to commence).

To interact with a grave, the user had to be on a square adjacent to one, then click the grave's square.

To dig up a grave, there had to be four users (represented by their active Neopet) at the grave site, which then had to dig in sequence, each user's turn indicated to them by a pink highlight around their Neopet. To join a digging team, there had to be at least one empty space, shown by a question mark instead of a Neopet's image, around the grave, and then the form button "Join the diggers" was to be clicked. Between their turns at digging, the users clicked the "Wait" form button.

While digging, several items could be found by the users in the dirt. Most commonly, these were '''Spooky Doughnut'''s or '''Ghost Marshmallows''', but '''Fetch! Stamp'''s, '''Meowclops Statue'''s and '''Sludgy'''s could also be found, and there were claims that '''Halloween [[Paint Brush]]'''es had been dug up also.

If you were not quick enough in digging, you could be kicked out of the digging team. If this happened, or if you chose to leave the digging team once you had joined, you were unable to dig for some minutes. After a coffin had been successfully exhumed, the user became exhausted and had to wait several minutes before they could dig up graves again. (This is similar to an activity in the Lost Desert Plot, as remarked by many users. Due to a shortened time limit, however, dialup users experienced difficulty, as their page load times could exceed the time limit, causing them to be removed from their digging team on their first or second click.)

The graveyard could be left by leaving through the gate the user arrived next to. This took the user back to the control panel.

====Testing the Bones====

In order to test whether the dug up bones are those of the Spirit of Slumber, the user took some potion from the control panel, entered the graveyard and found an open grave. The user could "Wait" at a grave being dug up until the coffin was exhumed to test it, as well as looking for a coffin already available.

If the user was first to the coffin with the potion, they were asked to "Continue", and were then given the mass and volume of one of the bones. They were then asked to decide how many drops of potion, up to 250, were needed to test the bone correctly. The formula for working out the number of droplets needed was: ((mass/volume)^2)*25, that is, the mass divided by the volume, squared, times 25. The result was to be rounded to its nearest whole number.

After testing a bone, the user saw whether or not the bone was the Spirit's. If it wasn't, the user gained 150 [[NP]] and had to wait a while before being able to test a bone again. The user could return the potion to Sophie on the control panel after taking it if they were unable to, or did not wish to, test a bone. They would not be able to use the potion again for a few minutes.

====Finding Ingredients====

On the control panel, the third option was to retrieve ingredients for Sophie. She would give you the name of the ingredient, and the user would then visit her Shack (entering it by clicking on the door) and retrieve the appropriate ingredient. The user returned to Sophie, and was rewarded 50 NP if the vial is correct.

There were no labels on the potions in Sophie's Shack, however. At the end of the URL for each unlabeled ingredient was an ID number. The ID conformed to a certain ingredient. The known ID and ingredient matches were:

This activity has now been closed. It ended 28 October, 2006.

With the bones found, it was time to eliminate all the names that were not the Spirit of Slumber. The user had to go back through the graveyards, clicking on gravestones to add the name to the list of checked stones; the stone would then receive a red mark at the upper right to signify that it had been noted. As before, new graveyards were added to the list as old ones were marked off.

===Potion Mixing===

With Bruno as the volunteer, it's time to mix the potion that will allow the Spirit of Slumber to inhabit his body. Upon arriving at Sophie's Shack, the user receives a conversation in which Sophie reveals that, while her book has a general description of the required potion, it has no specific list of ingredients or amounts. She simply has to experiment.

In this activity, the user has a series of ingredients to mix in order to arrive at a specific color of potion. The colors of potion are defined in steps, as follows:

*Red
*Green
*Blue
*Purple
*Gray
*Pink
*Swirl: Red-Yellow-Blue
*Mint Green with Yellow Streaks
*Sparkling Purple
*Silver and Red

The ingredients the user starts with are:

*Bumroot
*Leafy Slorgblossom
*Crushed Jurpleberries

The activity is constructed as a maze of sorts: Starting from Red, the user must "navigate" to a series of "destinations", correlating to different colors. Complicating matters, the "navigation" must contain no more than a maximum number of "steps", defined as an indivudal ingredient being added to the cauldron. If the maximum step number is exceeded, the potion turns to black sludge, and the user must start over. (This is mildly similar to the "Fetch!" game, used earlier in the plot, in which a set number of life points are expended with each move.)

The first potion destination is Purple within three steps. Once arrived at, Bruno drinks the potion... and all of his fur grows long and shaggy.

For the second attempt, Salt is added to the list of ingredients. The second potion destination is Swirl: Red-Yellow-Blue, within five steps. Once arrived at, Bruno drinks the potion... and shrinks to a size smaller than the potion bottle.

For the final attempt, Bronze Sansam is added to the ingredients list. The third potion destination is Silver and Red within nine steps. Once arrived at, Bruno drinks the potion...

By the flash animations of this game, it can be presumed that Mumbo Pango is a god of more than just the 'traditional' Mystery Island natives (the coconut people) despite his closeness in appearance to them, but to all the Island dewellers.

Mumbo Pango's powers include the ability to summon lightning by rubbing his hands, release toxic fumes, and fly without using his bamboo-and-leaf wings (which appear to be ornamental in appearance).
