'''Tyrannia''' is a prehistoric land discovered miles beneath the [[Terror Mountain|Ice Caves]] on March 21, 2001. Go there for dung furniture, evil pterodactyls, [[Tyrannian Concert Hall|rock concerts]], and of course a [[Giant Omelette]].

Tyrannia's [[Altador Cup|Yooyuball]] team, the "Forsaken Five" was a assembled a few years before 2006 from a group made almost entirely of players whose original teams had given up on them. After a series of trades and waiver wire acquisitions, Tyrannia began to transform its motley bunch of castoffs into a selfless squad of warriors. Driven by a desire to show everyone how wrong they were to write them off, Tyrannia's "Forsaken Five" have gone on to become one of the most successful Yooyuball teams.

After their defeat in the first round playoff by [[Roo Island]] in 2006, many expected Tyrannia to retool their lineup in 2007. Rather than act on this, Tyrannia's managers believed they were simply unlucky, due to the fact it was hard to imagine anyone defeating Roo Island was playing at that time. They kept the tight knit "Forsaken Five" together, believing it would be a horrible mistake to break up one of the best Yooyuball teams in Neopia over a single playoff loss. However, their minds changed after the 2009 season, trading Evrem Guilako for Terror Mountain's Elbin Kroe.

On January 7, 2001, [[TNT]] announced that the old [[Paint_Brush#Retired_Paint_Brushes|Glass]] coloured pets would be turned into Tyrannian. Aside from the Tyrannian Paint Brush, users can paint their Neopets using the [[Lab Ray]], [[Morphing Potions]] or [[Rainbow Fountain]].

As of March 2010, 39 Neopets and 48 [[Petpet]]s are available in the Tyrannian colour...

==Trivia==
Originally, Tyrannia had three maps to its name: the Jungle, the Plateau to the North, and the Volcano even further north. After [[The Tyrannian Invasion]], the volcano map was removed on the August 15, 2001, and the volcano's shops and games moved down to the Plateau. Visiting the volcano now results in a [[1-Player Challenger]] appearing and challenging the user in the [[Battledome]] on their first visit, while later visits result in the user being shooed back to the Plateau. Also in this change, [[The Time Machine]], a [[Kitchen Quest]] like game, was removed.

The northern area, which is the plateau, is usually dry with little rain, while the southern part is more of a tropical climate, with wetter weather.

The fifth annual Altador Cup competition featured a variety of team roster changes. Most notably through the addition of the Team [[Moltara]] squad. There are also a couple of familiar faces in new places this year. In a trade that broke up Tyrannia's vaunted Forsaken Five, the club dealt [[Evrem Guilako]] to Terror Mountain for [[Elbin Kroe]]. Additionally, Brightvale has decided to give goalie [[Orie Dinelle]] another shot in front of the net.

In an effort to regain their competitive edge, the Haunted Woods has parted ways with defenseman [[Autrey Fulse]] and signed relentless pursuer [["Brains" Mortigan]].

Perhaps the most surprising roster move is the one that, in the end, didn't happen. After last year's championship victory, Krawk Island's [[Dasher Soley]] decided to hang up his Yooyuball sling. However a last-minute injury to his rookie replacement, [[Feldon "Dinksy" Collibridge]], left the club with no time to find a replacement who knew all the team's plays.
