Does anyone know if Nintendo Gamecube controllers can be used for Wii games?

Or is it only for Nintendo Gamecube games?

For some games they can. Like in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, one of the controller configuration
options is the GameCube controller.

Given MP8 incorporates the wii remotes and uses specific actions, I doubt that you'd be able to use it.

If you have a controller, you can always just try.

Many Wii Games even work better with a GameCube controller...NiGhts, for example, works well with a classic/gamecube controller.

Pardon my ignorance - I don't have a GC, so have never had the need to even worry about this issue - but what happens if the game requires you to do something that you can only do with the wii-mote? Eg. stabbing?

Or are you just talking about games that don't incorporate it? o.O
