I don't actually care. Just throwing that out there.

I'm talking about the ones at the WWII memorial. Those are just utterly repulsive! I mean it's a freaking memorial. She should at least apologize.

Doesn't it suck that AJ was eliminated yet Sanjaya expected to be cut?

What a loser. Cut him immediately America.

Yes, because your private life is the business of everyone one, especially when it's not illegal

That's silly and childish.

I would not watch the show if they eliminated people for having a private life. (and the idea of "disrespect" is subjective)

Although she's not a good singer and should be eliminated as soon as possible, she should be eliminated and judged on her performance and talent and not on her private life. (take heed of that, Antonella voters. >_>)

As far as the eliminations tonight go, I'm not really surprised, but it really does annoy me. Sanjaya and Antonella are terrible and are thriving on "pity" and silly fanbase votes (that's based on personality and not performance). I could deal with just one bad person, but two people, one from each gender, is causing two better contestants to be eliminated per week. >_>

I guess it's okay, so long as they're gone next week, before the Top 12 are announced. If that happens then it won't really effect much. As was said by the judges tonight, I wish people would start voting on the talent, rather than whatever else they have to "justify" their votes.

Kuge is right. If it was public, that would be a reason to kick her out, but since they're private, I wouldn't pay any attention to it.

I'm surprised Sanjaya didn't get booted out. Everyone thought he would, though. Huh.
Oh well. Chris Sligh is still in it, I don't care. :roflol:

I actually didn't think AJ and Nick did that bad. =\

The two people who sang Feeling Good both got eliminated. :P I'm a little more disappointed in the girls' eliminations. I didn't think Leslie Hunt and Alaina were the two worst of that night. Antonella needs to go, I have no idea why they put her through.

Some of these dedications are a little weird and inappropriate though.

For example:
Phil Stacey dedicates his song to the navy, and then sings about he's not missing them at all.

Jared Cotter dedicates his song to his parents, and then sings... an inappropriate song.

Chris Sligh dedicates "Trouble" to his wife.

Gina Glocksen dedicates "Alone" to her boyfriend.

Alaina Alexander dedicates "Not ready to make nice" to her mom.

And Melinda Doolittle has become my favorite contestant of all time. Her rendition of My Funny Valentine was fantastic! She's a fantastic, likable contestant.

And I just realized Chris Richardson kinda looks like Kevin Federline, also.

Wed Mar 07, 2007 4:06 am

Well, "Trouble" wasn't really inappropriate since the song actually actually talked about how great it is to have her in his life. =P The others are just rather... weird. xD

Tonight... was BAD.

Egh, not good at all. I think Phil Stacey had potential and could have actually pulled it off very well (regardless of what was said about the song choice), had he not yelled into the microphone. Usually, I can handle the "rock" singing (which some may think is yelling), but he truly was yelling tonight. -_-

Everything was just so... lackluster. Blegh.

I also like Melinda Doolittle (and also disagreed with Leslie not going). I just hope she ends up showing more variety in the days to come. I want to see how versatile she is. :)

This year is just so lopsided it's rather uninteresting. x_x The guys are closer to each other as far as talent goes, but it means nothing if you have a majority of the girls that are better. :P

Bleh, tonight was dreadfully boring. Chris sort of lighted it up at the end, but the majority of the night is so bleh. :(

STOP talking about Jared's cheesy face move! Argh, that thing is so painstakingly cheesy.

LIES! Well, at least it was humourous the FIRST time it was commented on,

*does it*

Mmm... I think I taste like cheddar now. >_>

I also hope to see the girls do better (well, overall, since the girls are so lopsided right now. Melinda and um... ARGH can never remember her name... anyway, both of them seem to be at the head of the pack, with maybe Jordan a bit behind).

I'd hopefully like to see everything well-rounded (if that's possible). Oh, and I'd like to see Antonella not suck too, in fact, it'd make for an interesting night if she was actually one of the best singers of the night let alone good at all. (that was a half-joke)

Unfortunately, my hopes of seeing Sanjaya perform decently also fell flat, so I've learned it's better not to expect so much. :P

It's Lakisha. :P

The girls are generally much, much better. I'm looking forward to Melinda's performance tomorrow. :) She is now my favorite idol.

I hate the other background singer, though, Brandon. He comes off as very show-offy and self-indulgent to me. Melinda > Him

Sanjaya performs, in my opinion, way to tentatively. If he does come back again, he needs to open up.

Wed Mar 07, 2007 6:39 am

Ew, Sanjaya's been much too quiet for three weeks in a row ( mean... c'mon, the elderly probably can't hear you, I sure can't!). I could understand messing up the first week, and coming back the next to improve, but he's already had two chances to improve, a third seems like overkill. x_x

I do hope both Antonella and Sanjaya are gone on Thursday... (though it seems unlikely. >_>)

Wed Mar 07, 2007 1:23 pm

Chris Richardson was so bad, haha. That's the only highlight of last night's episode that I can remember. The judges were all "wow! that was good". Come on. Ace Young's version of that song was ten times better and he's... Ace Young.

Sanjaya seems to have a large fan base...and Antonella - well, you know. Her votes are probably mostly from guys 18-25.

I didn't watch it yet - I taped it because of work, but would it be safe to assume that it was another underwhelming week?

Wed Mar 07, 2007 4:29 pm

Yes, very much... -_- In fact, it was overwhelmingly underwhelming. First day that I've actually wanted to just keep it on in the background while I do stuff because it wasn't worth listening to closely... it was all drab.

Wed Mar 07, 2007 9:39 pm

Watching it now:

Blake: He's ok, but seems a bit boy-bandish, just like Chris Richardson. That was a...weird performance but I definitely did not like it as much as the judges did.

Sanjaya: I initially liked him, but now he's just taking advantage of the fact that people are going to vote for him no matter how much his performances stink. He hasn't had a single good performance since making it into the top 24 - it just doesn't seem like he cares.

Sundance: Not as good as last week, I agree with Simon's comments - it seemed like a generic performance.

Chris Richardson: YAY! He's not trying to be Justin Timberlake. No actually, he probably should have because this performance was bland...but apparently the judges don't agree with me.

Jared: The only good one so far.

Brandon: *yawns* Borrringgg.

Phil: Horrible. I'm gonna make a prediction - he's going.

Chris Sligh: Definitely better than the rest of them, but this wasn't his best performance.

Going:
-Phil
-Brandon

Anyone else see performances sometimes and think they are HORRIBLE but the judges love it? It probably sounds a lot different when you're there, but still.

By that logic, though, then Alaina probably would have stayed for a few more weeks too. =\

I think Antonella is benefiting from the scandal, and perhaps even VFTW.
