For those topics one could describe as the forum equivalent of a twinkie. Word games, forum contests and giveaways are all the rage here.

just a suggestion: use word when writing the judgings, so you can save what you've started ;)

You have no idea how many times that's happened to me. xD I never learned my lesson, it happened to me too this round.

First of all, I like how the background is subdued and draws attention to the main image. The extraction was also pretty well done. The color gradient in the background works well too. I'm not too quite fond of the "no fill" text, however, but I think it doesn't look bad either. Just a few suggestions though, some experimentation with the placement, size, and font of your username. For example, DM in big, cursive font, and "was on fire" under it in smaller, regular font, or DM in big, blocky font, and was on fire beside it in smaller font. Just a few examples I'm throwing out, so your name doesn't consume as much space as it does. - 8.25/10

It's not a no-fill font, it's the way I set the blend mode.
I did have it filled, but it looked crappy. D:

I have experimented before, but it just leaves a bunch of empty space I can't seem to fill. XP

Thanks for all the ratings, guys. :D

Geez. I'm seeing a bit of harshness all around this round. o_O

Wow, tied for the highest score! I don't think that's ever happened to me. :P Sorry to see Dyl, Penguin, and whattisthis go though. T__T

And thank you judges for all your observations, I'll try to keep them in mind for the following rounds. I didn't realize there was so much empty space though. o.o;; I generally try to offset empty space with large text, but looking at it again I see I could have cut a good 50 pixels out of there without changing it too much. And personally I hate the text. I actually hate the text on about 99% of sets that I make. xD

ANYWAY. Thanks. :D

Not to complain or anything, well, uh, to complain, I can't say I feel every rating awarded by the judges was exactly fair, considering they should be analysing the graphic presented to them, as opposed to a previous one (which I would like to say, I felt was cramped and am happy I changed it). I can't say I exactly feel large text and a border deserve a 6.25. I understand it is a judge's choice to what grade they give each person, but do however feel they should keep them within some bounds. Also, I always feel it is nice to note both positives and negatives. I'm not speaking only on behalf of only my own graphic, too.

:) I accept criticisms, however, I do feel some were unnecessarily harsh. I will try to build on the helpful comments that the judges have given, too, thank you. Personally, I didn't really like the font either but couldn't find one I was pleased with.

Thanks judges for all the critiques (I like 'em harsh)!!

Definitely going to work a bit this round.

Hmm, I'm going to say no and draw the line at anything that resembles, or is supposed to resemble a human. Sorry. :(

Clothes, by themselves and NOT on a mannequin, are fine though.
