Even as a meat eater I find that utterly ridiculous. Anyone that actually says/believes that needs to be told:

Look. Just because we we're meant to do something, doesn't mean we have to. Humans may be meant to drink coffee, but I hate the stuff so I'm not going to drink it. It's my stomach, stay out of it.

And I can substitute coffee for anything I really prefer not to eat: Spanish rice, seafood, green beans, chocolate cake with whipped topping (yes, I actually hate chocolate cake with whipped topping).

Beans, peanut butter, yogurt, etc have protien..but I dont know about everything else. This is where protien drinks come in handy. Those thinks are packed with nutrients but they taste like throw up most of the time.

I don't care what other people eat, as long as they aren't forcing me to eat meat. I personally don't believe that animals were put here for us to eat, and when people tell me that I ask them why they don't eat their dog. I think that it's wrong to kill animals, but everybody has their own opinion and I can't say that their opinion is wrong.

As a vegitarian, I don't force my belifes on people. I do take Basstess soft and chewy one a day vitamins. They have added A C D and E vitamins. And they halp to promote;

Healthy bones and teeth and gums.
Healthy eyes and skin
resistance to infection.

But thats the thing.. if no one ate meat, they would all be killed.
Farmers keep farm animals which they keep for meat, which in the long run makes them money. If everyone in the world suddenly became a vegetarian, farmers would have no reason to own the animals. People aren't going to adopt them for household pets. So, what would happen... More than likely the animals would have to be put down so they don't cost more money... Costs money to put them down, and it costs a lot less money for some bullets...

I do realise that probably made no sence at all, and don't take that wrong. I'm not saying eat meat, I'm just saying what I think of the subject.

I have no problem with it, unless they try to force anything on me. Heck, if anyone at all tries to force something on me, I get angry. Besides, I went vegetarian for a while. I didn't shrivel up and die. :D But honestly, it was fine. A balanced diet can easily be achieved even without meat. Scientifically, yes, we were designed to also eat meat, but oh well.

I only went back because I missed hamburgers and the like.

Hmm, vegetarian? It's a person's choice, quite honestly. I do agree that humans were designed to eat meat, but that doesn't mean someone has to. We're also designed to eat veggies and fruits. Myself, the only time vegetarians really bother me is when they try to guilt/scare someone into changing their eating habits. But that's never happened to me, and as far as I know that's a fairly rare occurance, so I have absolutely nothing against those who choose not to eat meat. Myself, I simply couldn't go for long periods of time without meat, as I enjoy it far too much. :P The only problem with not eating meat is you can miss out on some important nutrients, but they can be supplemented. I'd be far too lazy to do something like that myself, so it's probably a good thing I like meat.

I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't tend to eat much meat anyway. I've got no problem with other vegetarians, though.

I could easily be a vagetarian, because I hate meats and love veggies and fruits and stuff... But im not! :D But I can't see anything wrong with it, because I think its evolution that made us built to eat meats... But whatever floats your boat!

Wed Jul 21, 2004 8:17 am

It's a matter of opinion. But anyway, a balanced diet can give you much more than you need, without meat!

Thu Jul 22, 2004 2:06 am

I think it has to do with your own opinion, though it may have to do with your culture or religion on what you may eat.

Yeah, my dads co-worker at his job is Hindu and he won't even eat egg, or kill any animals, even bugs...but eggs arn't eating animals actually, its what the chock eats to survive but simply didn't fertalize. But anyway I thought that was kinda extreme but that his preference on the thing.

I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If no humans ate meat, then the world would be overridden with animals.

However, I do disagree with the ways that animals are treated at the slaughterhouses.
