Heh heh.
Yeah, I hated that book too. The first two chapters (and the last) were interesting but the rest was a bore.

The Prince by Machiavelli (whose name I just spelled wrong, I'm sorry.)
I don't care if it's a work of genuis or a classic! I feel asleep twice while reading it.

I don't like a lot of books (I'm very picky ), but if there's one author's books I detest, it'll be Lucy Daniels. She writes the "Animal Ark" stories... the way she writes makes me sick.

Why on Earth were you reading it?

For English class. >.<;; Trust me, I would never pick up that dribble on my own will.

One book I really despise is

Spirit Seeker by Joan Lowery Nixon.

We had to read it for school since our teacher was a fan of her (I think). At that time I was reading Agatha Christie, and I *shuddered* at the blatant foreshadowing in that book. Also, it was just overall boring and the "spirit" stuff got on my nerves.

Here here for the first, ehh, sort of for the second. I got through about two-thirds of it, then just asked everyone else in the class what was going on for the test.

I really disliked Emma by Charlotte Bronte. I had to read it for English class one summer. I seemed really slow to me.. (there was a whole chapter on a piano...)

Little tree by ? (forgot the author, but its about a native american boy living with his grandparents in the mountains) Most boring book ever, all they talk about is how he and his grandfather make wine and how they go to town to sell it and back...

Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks - tried on 3 separate occasions to read this book. Gave up and never looked at any of his Shannara books.

The Bostonians by Henry James - when I found myself rereading the same paragraph for 1/2 hour and STILL not understanding it, decided to forget it. Of couse this was mumblety, mumblety years ago when I was in 10th grade

I'm certain there have been others, but these stand out the most.

"The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin", which I am currently having to suffer though *cough* read for school. I swear it's the dullest book ever written! I mean, I know he was an important guy and all that, but can't he just keep his life story to himself? You know? I DON'T CARE!!! :x

sorry, I felt like ranting. I'm done now.

I'm sorry to say it, but I could never get into th Lord of the Rings books. I'm all for detail, but there's a point at which enough description is enough.

I agree, I couldn't help but close the book after the first chapter.

Actually, I really liked The Hobbit. Not as many chapters of "*lol forest description*"
