I think you will have to save the pics as gifs to start off with, they are the only format which allows you to set transparency (as far as I know). The tutorial I've linked to below is quite good - I'm not sure if it's exactly what you need but it might be helpful.

What I'm starting to think is... maybe we're not supposed to find the stars... but where the stars aren't. I mean.... in my map, I can see big gaps where there aren't any stars at all. Maybe the stars are there to confuse us: all the different colors, the facts that the constellations could be any size, rotation, etc... and we need to find a message in the sky..

Has anyone else thought about this, or am I just going crazy? (I wouldn't be surprised if it was the latter, what with all the stars and all.)

I dunno if this has been said before but after looking through my Mapped stars, and Talking with a very very Good friend, We both have a dfifrent amont of Big White stars, I ahve 4, she has 6 and there are afew others who have diffrent amountsm, what I'm thinknig is that we haveto amtch up the gems to those white ones so the Big ones are like the start point of one of the constollations. Dunno if I've made sense there but hopefulyl someone knows what I mean.

this has me so depressed part of me thinks it isnt possible to find a constalation yet as I have spent a good 5 solid hrs trying everything I know and its just.. nothing

Thanks for your help Angel. I can now punch out the gems and add them as a transparent layer on the starmap What I'm still unsure about is the scale. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether the gem pics are shown as the same scale as the telescope map or what? I did see some earlier posts here on resizing the gem pics but I didn't follow exactly what was being said.

i know its possable to set transparency in microsoft word and when you set your picture to washout it is now transparnt

If anyone might be as kind as sharing those pumped out star maps I'd appreciaite it, my husband and I have tried for a while and everyting we try to use has crashed out our computers to heck and back. -sigh- this is what comes of having 20 year old computers I guess -lol-

I think I have a problem. My telescope is missing again. I just went back to play with my stars, and there is no longer a telescope there. Is anyone else missing theirs?

edit: I just went back and rejoined the club and got another telescope.

hi!i got a clue!the tcg cards for #9 has pics of the gatherer,etc right? well along the lines are stars! most are 6 stars! i made a map but im having trouble finding them! so go along these lines,hope ive helped.

Casi, If I understood you correctly, it was just missing from the stand image in the observatory? If so, I just clicked on the telescope stand and it goes to the telescope star map page ok (no need to get another 'scope)

i have been thinking that for some time now and i keep pushing out of my mind because what in neo is real if you do find a real one let me know

ps i have a book of real stars but i dont have a scaner if i did i would give you the pictures to cheack

It was no longer clickable. It worked all day yesterday and this morning but this time I had to actually go get a new one.

cool! i will find some reAL ones and see,lets hope my mom allws me so muchcomp time since im going to school on teusday!
