I glanced at that when I was flipping through the neopets magazine last night. I thought the cereal was a joke, even though I knew that the psp game was quite real O_o

...I owe my sister $20. She and I made a bet about 5 years ago about this. I honestly thought that there would never be a Neopets breakfast cereal. Of course, after a while it became inevitable. Sigh...

I probably won't buy any. It's not that I'm that opposed to there being a Neopets Cereal; I'm trying to cut down on the sugar in my diet.

So, what will the pointless games on the back of the box be like? I'm guessing mazes and trivia.

I'd really like it if they put something useful on the back of the boxes of cereal like a look at what is coming soon or a special editoral just for the cereal boxes and you can get your neopet questions answered or maybe have a picture you drew appear on the box of cereal. Or even have your pet appear as a star on the box of cereal.

I would guess a 'how to draw' or some minor content relating to the current plot, like characters, would go on the back. For prizes, aside from prize codes, I would guess real world versions of or offer for Neo items, like send in x proofs of purchance and get a toy Rod of Nova or something like that.

Actually, the PSP game is about some Neopets who find a hidden land where Petpets live and act like Neopets...so yeah, it is. =b Time will only tell what this bodes for the site, though.

Having a civilization of anthro Petpets is all well and good for a one-off plot, but I seriously hope that because of it, they don't start treating Petpets just like Neopets on the site as a whole.

On the topic of the cereal, though, I'm definitely going to do everything in my power to get my mom to buy it for me, no matter how unhealthy it is!

And yeah, it wasn't merchandise that got Neopets to where they are today...but it sure is fun! =b

What about Neocola and Achyfi? I think Hubert's line of hotdog flavors would be good too

PS: Does anyone else find it funny that some of us were talk about the 'what ifs' about Neopets foods, but now we're talking about real products?
