to coin a phrase;
"even a warped mind can see the sense in this"

For this event to make you dislike Muslims is completely ridiculous.
This event has been condemned by the muslim community. In fact, to hate Muslims (or any other religion) is ridiculous. And you shouldn't trivialise what your saying, because in essence, what you are saying is real prejudice.

Like I said in my post, I do not dislike all of them, plenty of them are great people. And I also didn't say that this event makes me dislike Muslims completely. I said that this event is one of the last ones I need before I snap. ;)

This event has been condemned by the Muslim community. Yet it seems great to the Muslim community in some Middle Eastern countries. It seems wonderful to a significant part of the Muslim community where I live.

What I am saying isn't prejudice. What you are saying is prejudice, because you have no clue where I live, how I live, and how the things around me, my surroundings, how they affect my view on (Muslim) society.

Agreed. Acts of terrorism are no excuse for exercising more hate in the world, there is never an excuse for racism or prejudice. As I said elsewhere, no one with any intelligence can blame this on a religion or those who follow it, anyone who uses their faith to justify the brutal killings of random and innocent people are about as far removed from the religion they claim they follow as you can get. There is no religion I know of in it's pure and most widespread form that would preach such hate and terror. To say that something like this increases your hate of muslim people is just ridiculous.

If you want to discuss those kind of things I'd suggest maybe going to the debates board, the only purpose it serves when put here is to anger and upset people who are already edgy. In my opinion anyway, I just can't believe someone would say such a thing :/

Here's something for us to all mull over. Let's hope they didn't miss a thing. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4668313.stm

The idea of killing, as a muslim, is wrong. A true muslim would not, in any circumstances, believe that killing was right. Therefore, to the muslim community at least, these people cannot call themselves Islamic.

I am Muslim.

And yes, I agree with you. It's just the only way these groups make themselves known is call by calling themselves "Islamic Fundamentalists". They are Muslim -- Which is very hard to admit but they aren't following the Qu'ran at all.

:o My friend was playing a gig in Birmingham tonight! They say it's not linked but I really wonder... It's odd. Anyone who says that these attacks on London aren't important are talking total rubbish, not just for those who suffered the effects of the attack but for England itself. There is always going to be a greater fear of terrorism in the UK now, not just in London but in most major cities. We all said we knew it was going to happen but it was still a shock when it did.

Anyway, someone on the Neoboards said something which surprised me. "Don't shed a tear for the attack in London, smile because of how we dealt with it." Wise words.

only those who have never experianced an attack will be afraid.
i know many (many. many) people in england who have seen it before, and innapropriate jokes aside, we cope perfectly fine.

as we say, we have seen far worse in the past.
heck, in my lifetime.
as a country, we have never yielded to assault.
and some jumped up git, who thinks its funny to smurf off a superpower will probably learn very soon why english marines are feared.
we are a close-knit country, an attack on one is an attack on all.

Rule brittania.

The A38 isn't an inner city ring road.... it goes in a straight line... I dont like that article, its not totally accurate, they've listed areas i know weren't evacuated because my housemate was there and she wasnt evacuated.

So they aren't muslim. They may believe they are, but they are not.

That doesn't matter. Feel free to dislike a terrorist, but not because they are muslim.

That's very complicated territory you're getting into and not suitable for here...but, a true muslim would not endorse killing.

...Not even worth it. *facepalm*

o.O; I don't dislike Terrorists becuase they are Muslims. I dislike Terrorists because of what they do. And one of the reasons I dislike Muslims are because so many terrorists are muslims and do what they do in the name of Allah. Or something along those lines.

but, a true muslim would not endorse killing.

I keep hearing that everywhere. Yet I also hear Muslims say that true Muslims should support these acts. IT CONFUSES ME

? I don't see how you could even comment on that :P Because you can't. Because you don't know *insert whatever you quoted from my post here* <3

People pervert religion for political desires or beliefs all of the time. Suffice it to say that a Muslim who follows the Quran and knows the Quran would not support terrorism. A true believer would not kill women and children to get a point across, but a transgressor would.

Exactly.

That is no reason at all to dislike Muslims. There are terrorists from all sorts of backgrounds. Think of the IRA.
