I do admire us Brits for even the day of the attack making humour out of it. While it's deeply sad, it shows our resolve not to let it beat us. Wayhey.

"When the news reporter said "Shopkeepers are opening their doors bringing out blankets and cups of tea" I just smiled. It's like yes. That's Britain for you. Tea solves everything. You're a bit cold? Tea. Your boyfriend has just left you? Tea. You've just been told you've got cancer? Tea. Coordinated terrorist attack on the transport network bringing the city to a grinding halt? TEA DAMMIT! And if it's really serious, they may bring out the coffee. The Americans have their alert raised to red, we break out the coffee. That's for situations more serious than this of course. Like another England penalty shoot-out."

"We took on the Romans, the Saxons, the Danes, the French, William Wallace, the Black Plague, the Roundheads, the Great Fire, Napoleon, the Nazis, and the Blitz, and we're still here. You terrorists are bloody amateurs."

We don't know for sure who was behind it. If anybody in Britain saw the front page of the Daily Star yesterday, you'll know it was obviously the same people who killed Ken Bigley. Not.

But yeah, if it is (which is likely) down to what Bliar calls 'Islamic extremists', they're not true muslims. No way in hell.

I think the Daily star summed it up in one word, which is something I'd rather never admit in the open, The Star is a dreadful paper. If anything sums up the fighting spirit for me, it's the bus driver vowing to continue driving a bus.

The Star and The Mirror decided to try and create some hysteria and also make people believe things that haven't been proven...or haven't even been suspected. yeesh.

But the headline in the Star was good.

Great, first the US not London. Jeez

You forgot Madrid.

I'll be honest, again, and hope that this post does not get deleted, again. Why is it that I always have to post what I want to say twice, because no matter the content, one always gets removed? Weird.

It's been two days since the attacks. And I had almost forgotten them already. I don't 'feel' anything anymore. That morning, when a friend woke me up to tell me about the attacks. I actually had a hard time to put up a sad face.
It's not that I like what happened. But I can't say it bothers me much. The only thing that I worry about is that London is only ~300km from where I live and we also have a huge underground system in our city. And we blindly follow the US everywhere it goes. (Rotterdam, the Netherlands)

-content removed-

It really, really sucks for all of the people who were in that crash. For their families. I can't even imagina how traumatised these people must be from being in that bus or train at that time. I can't believe how the people who didn't get in that train because it was too full, or because they were too late must feel. I really can't imagine how the families must feel who are still hoping for their loved ones to be found, the people who are still buried under the chaos caused by these Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades. Their name alone makes me sick. I can't pronounce it.

There is no real point to my post because I probably didn't have anything to say that someone else hasn't said already.

SaphEdit: It's generally a good rule of thumb that if you think what you're about to say is going to be edited or deleted by a moderator that you probably shouldn't be posting it at all. I'd think you were old enough to know better. Apparently not.

I'd say the reason your post content often gets removed is because it is offensive to other people, and unecessarily so.

For this event to make you dislike Muslims is completely ridiculous.
This event has been condemned by the muslim community. In fact, to hate Muslims (or any other religion) is ridiculous. And you shouldn't trivialise what your saying, because in essence, what you are saying is real prejudice.

This is why none of my problems ever go away.

I make plenty of those.

Should've seen me and Hog round Tsunami time/pope dying time. Inappropriate jokes galore. Not that we lacked respect or didn't appreciate what had happened (particularly in the case of the Tsunami) but inappropriate jokes is what we do best, shamelessly.

I can't even repeat what I said on December 28th, for fear of upsetting people.

Which, by the way, is why my posts tend not to get deleted- if I know somethings going to seriously offend someone, it won't be said.
