Nothing can compare to British comedy. The best comedy shows come out of Britain. Fawlty Towers. Are You Being Served? Priceless.

And, women's skin--well, at least the skin on their faces, is the softest, smoothest, and prettiest in the world. And, I am told that is because of all of the moisture in the air. And, that goes for the roses in England, as well (also, due to the moisture in the air).

England has the worst food in the world. OK, don't kick me. But, that is a stereotype. Kidney pie. And any meat not put in a pie is boiled to a grey death.

Tested made this fabulous set for me!!! Isn't it great?

Don't even try to defend the food. I mean, CUCUMBER SANDWICHES. You lost the whole thing right there.

Hehe, since I last visited England when I was in my teens... I have to comment on the guys there.

English 'lads' seem to be slightly on the pasty side (not counting, um, the lovely brown Indian, African, etc types) and have floppy haircuts but cool clothes... and they are wonderfully charming nevertheless and say things like "that's well 'ard" or "well sweet" or "well" lots of things ;)

There's also the funny random traditional foods like yorkshire puddings, pork pies, bubble and squeak, mushy peas and ... bakewell tarts (I love those).

When I've been down in England the food was great. I had wild boar sausages at one place *melts* I've never had kidney pie or liver or any thing else containing strange organs. The thing I like about British food is it's so diverse, all restaurants sell food from all over the world. When I went to Florida for two weeks I just about died of indian food deprivation :/

And the only thing I boil is eggs and potatoes for yummy potato salad :D I am a student though and therefore live by the teachings of the wok, hehe. And roast dinners are awesome, roast anything is awesome...mmmm. Nothing beats home cooking.

As for news stations that's quite weird, the general feeling over here is that US tv quality of sitcoms and news is really grainy and old looking. I'm not sure if English people are repressed... it depends on what you think is being repressed I guess o_O

edit: couldnt comment on the news, i generally dont watch it.
tends to angry up my blood, and i try to shy away frm things that do that of late.

I don't know why, but since I was very young I always assumed British people to be very, very smart.

England is a wonderful magical place filled with dragons, and wizards, and labryinths and mole people that live in and below the subways, and demons and angels, and...and...wizards and magic users by any other name, and wise kings and queens, and centaurs, and gnomes, and elves, and they say things like "biscuit" instead of "cookie" like...like...REAL people :o. *has read too many fantasy novels that took place in London or some other clearly English-like setting or somewhere near England at the very least*

-You're not a true Englishman if you've ever seen the sun.

-By the same token, you're not a true Englishman if you don't have to carry an umbrella (umbreller) everywhere you go, because God knows it could dump monsoon quantities of rain on you at any given moment.

-To you, tackling isn't a basic concept of football.
-Nobody goes completely insane.
-The names of your "telly" stations are numbers.
-Your comedy shows (minus Monty Python) make no sense to Americans.
-You know every single thing that happens in the royal family, despite the fact that they have no significant purpose.
-Drunken men at pubs still look and act classy.
-A suit and tie is appropriate pub apparel.

That's everything I can think of. I could make some tea jokes, but that's been beaten to death.

*stabs tomatoes* Hate them :P

I always lived under the impression that it rained at least once a day there.

And that everything is old fashioned and classical.

And that you're all exceedingly tall with big noses and you all the men wear monocles (sp?). Don't ask.
