Although baths are more relaxing I still prefer showers.

A nice hot, really hot (hot tub like) bath.
I don't really like showers.

I prefer showers. If you're in the bath for too long, the water starts to get lukewarm and uncomfortable. Plus all the dirt and dead skin and such that comes off your body while you're in the bath is floating around in the water you're soaking in. Kinda icky.

Not only that, but it's so much easier to wash your hair in the shower than in the bath..

Showers in the morning and baths in the evening. Though here I'm having baths in the morning because my auntie has one of those showers with only 2 temperatures.

I am kinda bath-deprived (never had a bath in my life, except when staying in hotels, which is pretty rare), so I was tempted to vote bath. However I believe I'll get tired of them for a while, and showers are way more effecient, so it's showers for me. :)

Well in terms of actually getting clean I prefer a shower, but I like having a bath for relaxing.

Shower though I only have a bath when the shower is out of order and example of that is water coming out from place on the shower other than the shower head.

Wouldn't someone have to be pretty dirty to actually be bathing in their own filth? Maybe a little, but nothing I would call disgusting. So you sweat during the day and it may get into the water a little. Maybe you got a little dirt in your hair. Woo...flippin...hoo. Comment here was not directed at Twinkle by any means, just saying thats my general view on the whole bathing in filth thing that I hear so often.

Hehe, agreed :) I mean how long would you have to go without washing to be in your own filth, blech.

I'm another shower in the mornings, bath in the evenings person - best of both worlds!

There is such a thing as day to day dirt and grime you know. I could not have a bath in the evening without having a shower first. *shudder* I'd end up feeling more dirty than when I first got in. There's nothing worse than unwinding in a bath after a long dance session and realising half way through, you've just been dancing bare foot for three hours and the soles of your feet are black. Blergh.

Plus, as pokemew said, I hate the fact that as you're soaking in a bath, all the dead skin you've accumalated throughout the day is just floating in the water. It may be a small amount but it still makes me feel icky.

I dunno, I usually have a quick wash before I have my bath but I've never noticed dirty water. I just like my baths and it seems a bit off to have other people describing it as sitting in your own filth. I think that would vary from person to person :) And with the dead skin thing a bed is a much less hygenic place than a bath, then you get all the beasties that live on your dead skin as well. Lovely, heh.

Besides with showers you can't have bubble bath and I imagine you could read a book but I wouldn't like to try. I think I'll stick to showering in the morning and bathing at night :D
