Turai blinked, and froze for a second.
"Powers... well, I can do this!"
She waved her right arm, and a book slid off the table.
"Not much use... but a neat party trick."
She coughed, and backed down.
"I don't know how I first heard of the Stones... my mother says in a past life I was a Lemurian... so that might be it. But I can't really trust my mum as far as I can throw her. Even if I could throw her, it'd still be a pretty inaccurate measurem- I'll shut up now."
She beat herself up mentally for rambling... again. Turai took a moment to centre herself, then took out a Rune.
18b: Laguz reversed.
Lack of flow, block.
"Calm down and flow... okay. Alu." She whispered, kissed the Rune and put it back into the bag.

"What's a lem... lem... lemurian? Is it kind of like a lemur?" Kaila asked. She knew it was a stupid question, and that she most likely was prying, but she wanted to know. She probably wouldn't understand it, but that was okay. She'd just add it to the list of things she couldn't understand, like... "Umm... my friends sometimes say that the wind goes wacko around them when I'm near. Would that be considered a power?"

"A Lemurian... my parents say it was a city... much like Atlantis. It was a beautiful place... until it became lost or something. The people who lived there must have been pretty stupid to lose a whole island!" Turai laughed, then shut up.
Sat Jul 03, 2004 4:07 am
Kaila laughed too. "Though I've never heard of Lemuria or whatever it is, but I have heard of Atlantis. Maybe they disappeared the same way?" She laughed once more, and then became quiet once again.

Iaran pondered on the girls' words. "Hmm, well then. I don't know if you have any powers or not. Kaila, you might control weather. But i'm not sure about you Turai."
((Sorry it was short, I'm running out of ideas.))

Shane started to drift off as he walked. Pretty soon, he found him self at a house. He wasnt sure whos house it was, but something had led him here. He knocked on the door, hoping to get some answers.

Iaran's mother answered the door, quietly smiling at the boy she invited him in. "Another boy from your school is here Iaran," she called.
Iaran excused herself and walked out towards the boy, "Can I help you?"

Turai seemed to be practically alone, so she decided to practise. She held her hand over a glass of water, and concentrated.
She visualized the individual particles in the glass, then imagined them slowing... cooling... and stopping entirely.
Suddenly, the glass shattered and ice skittered across the table.
"Sorry about that... I can replace it..."

Hearing a smash from within her father's study, Iaran ran in to find a shattered glass and ice covering the table and floor.
Smiling widely, Iaran beamed, "So, one of you does have powers after all. Turai, you can control the element Water I do believe."
Sun Jul 04, 2004 5:50 am
"That would explain a lot..." Turai blushed. "I've been able to do this since... well, since I can remember, anyway."
She put her hand over it again.
"I'll... clean it up."
She concentrated on the particles moving again... speeding up and slowly separating from each other...
She pulled her hand back to avoid the steam as the ice evaporated.
"It's a cool party trick, I guess... but apart from helping to mop, it's not much use to anyone."

Kaila shreiked in surprise when the glass broke. One of the shards--a fairly large one--hit her in the cheek, and she started to ooze blood. Kaila frantically looked around for a paper towel or something to stop the flow.

"i got a strange feeling to come here." Shane told the woman. He heard the sound of glass break, and walked tward the room where it came from. He saw a group of people, around his age, ssitting around a book. "whats this?" he asked, walking tward the book.

Turai raced towards Kaila and placed her hand on the blood.
Slowly, she lifted her hand and inspected the wound.
"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry... I didn't mean for that... it's just... I'm sorry! Umm... uhh... try getting some tweezers or something to... I'm sorry!!!" Turai backed away a little, and cringed.
"I'm really sorry..."
Mon Jul 05, 2004 1:43 am
Iaran fumbled in a draw for a moment then lifted out a pair of tweezers and a few bandaids. Carefully inspecting the wound, she carefully pulled out the shard of glass stuck within and placed the bandaids over it.
"No harm done. It was a simple accident. Do not worry Turai."
Mon Jul 05, 2004 3:07 am
"I'm fine, Turai. It just stings a little, that's all. It'll get better soon." Kaila said. She thanked Iaran for her help. Suddenly she looked uncormfortable as she glanced to the southeast. Then the look passed. Kaila had not even realised she had looked that way.
