I always use the thimble. I'm not sure I've ever played a game where I wasn't the thimble. Exept the time I played the weeiiirrrdddd American Traditions version, and I don't remember what piece I was... or even what the pieces were.
The thimble rocks me.

Monopoly and Mario are two games that everyone have played.
Does that kind of Mario game count that they had in a Windows 3.11 comp at my old school, a game that only had four levels?
And then you sorta played it until you knew all four levels by heart and could find all the bonuses etc.
I dunno, I've just found Monopoly incredibly boring when I've watched others play... I mean, you just play and play and play and all you try to do is get more money and houses into a squares.. er... ok, I'm going to bed now.

Before they made new pieces it use to be the man on the horse. But, now its the money bag. I also like the top hat.

The top hat and the car are the two I usually choose to play with. Doesn't matter too much, I'm not likely to get upset if I'm playing the game with a few people and others want the piece - they can have it.

I like the moneybag! But my favorite version is the Garfield version, and then I just pick the piece that I like the most at the moment...
