Cool! For my friend's birthday all of us chipped in ten bucks and bought her a guitar. There were about 15 of us who chipped it, otherwise I can't imagine how much we would have each had to pay.

Your guitar looks great! I wish I could play the guitar. I've never even held one before! :P

Try playing on a steel-string classical guitar. The first time I played it my fingers were raw afeter half an hour.

Very nice guitar, reminds me of Blink 182 a bit heh. The most important thing is you get lessons, with a teacher that will teach you techniques as well as songs, becuase it is all well and good learning songs but techniques will let you become a lot better.

Good Luck!

Give it a while. It'll stop hurting after you play for a while. ^_^

Also, can you read tabs? It's pretty easy if not. Then you can learn to play a whole bunch of songs, since you can find the tabs for a *LOT* online.

I am getting lessons in a week or two to learn a few things, so I won't suck. :P I'll need that luck!

It's pink.

Electric gutiar = lose.

Why do you need amps and speakers when you can play loud enough and nicely with a normal gutair?

Because then you can make it so loud you can annoy people! Duh! :D

I'm still playing on my acoustic... It's a '78 Ovation... My mom said in a while, she'll get me an electric. I'm looking for one all the time... but my limit for the guitar itself is 300 dollars... The amp has a seperate budget, though...

The website http://www.ultimate-guitar.com has GREAT tabs. I use it all the time.

I'm almost positive that's what I have. I've been taking lessons for 2 months, and my fingers haven't hurt once. ;)

Electric guitars are easier to play (sort of). If you make any slight mistakes, they're easily looked over on an electric, but on an Acoustic you have to play perfect for it to sound good.

I think that Electric sounds better for chords and Acoustic is perfect for plucking. It's just that wee bit easier to do chords on an electric than it is on an acoustic.
