I really want a PSP, it's just, the price. Everything else about it is awesome. On Reviews on the Run, the DS got 7.5/10, while the PSP got 9.5/10, and 9.0/10. I really like the launch titles for the system too, Wipeout Pure .*drools*

I just don't like the DS, My friend has it, and I don't really like it, and the touch screen is more like a... like a gimmick.

Give it some time. Like, 9 months. It is really obvious that the DS was pushed up and was originally planned to be released in March but Nintendo wanted to get an early lead. Honestly, the PSP lineup isn't so hot right now in my opinion. If I got one, the only game I would get is ridge racers. Most of the other games are watered-down ports.

PSP is evil. And you need BIG, EXPENSIVE memory sticks if you want t hold a decent amount of songs. And some GREAT DS games are coming out this year.

But hey, this topic isn't about DS ;)

Honestly though, I would like to get a PSP (I have enough $$$) but the price of games drives me away. A lot of them are going to be $50 and the thing I have always loved about my GBA is that the games are only $30. That is why I have more GBA games than GC and PS2 games combined. *sigh* I hope the PSP doesn't win for three reasons.

1. Nintendo rocks and Sony sucks
2. I don't want $50 handheld games to become the norm.
3. I don't want handhelds to be filled with nothing but crummy ports of their console counterparts. *cough*nflstreet2unleashed*cough* And yes,
I know that the GBA was port city but I only owned two ports for it.

LOOK AT THOSE GRAPHICS, IT'S A WASTE. PSP is wonderful, it's your entertainment center away from home, only dumb gamers would settle for secondary graphics. Also all those games are somewhat kiddy, and are building on charictors from what the early 90'S. Also Sony can't suck, it's ruling the industry man. Plus there are expensive memory sticks because they vary in size so you can put music and video and such on them. Plus the list for PSP games has a bigger list then when DS came out man.

I guess I am a dumb gamer. Do you know what the PS2 has? Secondary graphics. Do you know that the Playstation had? Secondary graphics. Do you know what the gameboy had? Secondary graphics. And yet all of those systems demolished the competition. The DS isn't about providing you with a console in your hand. It is about providing a new way to play games. I don't care if my games have afwul graphics as long as they provide a fun experience. And that is why I think that Megaman Anniversary Collection is one of the greatest games ever.
The DS has a lot better graphics that people think too. Examples?

And those last two mario kart pics are from last MAY! I can't imagine what they have been doing with the graphics since them.

And since when is having a franchise created in the early 90's bad? The best franchises were created in the late 80's to the early 90's. Anyone who things that those game suck is the definition of a dumb gamer. And mario has been around since around 1980. Maybe earlier.

And only people who are insecure with their masculinity won't play a game because it is kiddy. "OMG!!!111 OMG!!!111 ThErE R nO BoObies Or blOod iN dat game!111 It MuSt Be AwFuL!!!1111"
GIMMEE A BREAK!

And Nintendo will be releasing something called the Play-yan in the US sometime later this year. With the play-yan, you will be able to watch movies, listen to MP3s, and look at pics. So there goes that argument.

And in my opinion, Sony does suck. And how does the fact that they are in 1st place in consoles have anything to do with how much they suck? And did you know that Sony is $60 Billion Dollars in debt? Look it up on bloomberg.

While it is true that the PSP does (or will soon have) more games out than DS, the DS has about 200 games announced while PSP has about 175.

I hate to say it but I really need to get this out of my system.

PWNED!!!11111

Geez, I have been spending too much time on gamefaqs.

P.S. I have had my DS since it came out and I don't have a scratch yet. And store displays have nothing to do with how durable a system is. Little kids assault those things.

P.P.S. Man, I just read over that and I said "and" wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too many times.

When I said secodary it's becasue out of the two systems, it has the worst out of the two, doesn't mean it doesn't have any graphical meaning or are just plane stupid, and also I agree the consepts are very neat. Plus your gonna be waiting for your play-yan whatever it's called, we most of us wanna be PSP owners or current PSP owners will have it.

Also not that theres violence in the game is that there too much of the imaginary and constant build on like in Mario. Any games that have nudity like The Guy Game or in any game is just dispicable and is pretty much stupid.

Yes, sometime yea PS2 has probly secondary graphic, I think Xbox has the graphic made so they can go first I don't care really. But Xbox is more of a computer then a game council, heck I think GC might be a little better then Xbox.

Hey I've thoght of something, Atari should come out with a system, now that would be awsome.

Oh and another thing I'll admit, THAT PET GAME LOOKS AWESOME AND YET CUTE!!! Dang I'm a guy saying that.....

Also, god your post was long, I had to delete a set of pics just to make it somewhat desent sized instead of a wooper.

Um, and your post wasn't long?

Seriously people, is it that hard to cut out the images when quoting other people?

Yep, though in some cases, it's pretty cool. But in all of the cases I've seen and played with so far, they're only using the touchscreen a fraction of it's actual potential. Truthfully, while there are games like Yoshi Touch-and-Go (or whatever the heck it's called), which utilize the touch screen, I think so far, that Wario Ware has actually performed this most fluidly.

The touch screen does kinda rock in Yoshi though. But my favorite part is the microphone use. If you mess up, just blow your clouds away!

And yes, Nintendogs does look awesome. It has an awesome name too.

Unfortunately, what the one guy I know found out is that you can't necessarily play it in loud places, because the volume will cause the clouds to disappear. But we played it in a classroom before class and had no problem, so... ja.

You can turn the mic sensitivity down or turn it off all together. But yeah, last night I was playing it and all my fmaily laughed and it blew away all my clouds.

Now, let's get back on topic. Uhhh, well, the PSP has good graphics. Uhhh, yeah.

I'm going to buy a psp. My friend bought a ds, and I played it for quite a while. I don't like the feel of it at all. The two screens are alright, but here's the thing: Its JUST another screen. WOW. It doesn't impress me at all. None of the games I've played for it, including spiderman, mario, metroid or project rub excited me. Thus, with its extra media capabilities and nice graphics, the psp will be an exciting venture into console gaming for me, as I've never bought a console before.

All systems have crummy games for like a year after they launch. Do you remeber the PS2 launch? It was awful. Give DS time.

I have a DS and a PSP and out of the two I like my DS better. I don't really care about the graphics quality. The DS just has games that I like better, Nintendo characters are great. PSP is good, but I like DS better.

You know it's just looking like the way you go is based one what games the council offers, which is a good thing. Oh about the battery life, it goes to 4 hours if your playing a highly active games like a action game with lot of loading, bright on high, and sound way up. It could go to six if your playing a puzzle game with low loading, brights on low, and sound not as high, this information was in an edition on PSM magazine, good thing the people in sony made the battery removable and you are able to buy as many as you need.

And then you would have to recgharge them all in turn so that's using more electricity, which means more $. So in otherwords, DS>PSP
