My own laptop.

I share the internet connection with a roommate though, but that doesn't decrease the speed significantly.

DiscordantNote wrote:It's technically not my own computer, but I kinda claimed it as mine. My computer is just like a normal computer, except it has a laptop for the "brain". The laptop's monitor doesn't work (the screen isn't lit...you can still shine a flashlight on it to see stuff on the screen, which is cool), so we got a cheap eMachines monitor and hooked it up. There's also an old Dell keyboard and a Logitech optical mouse (which is set on top of the computer). It's only running Windows 98 since certain games I like will only work on it. If I want a fancier game I'll use the bigger, better Dell Dimension desktop across the room.
I'm sorry Discord, but the mental image of what your computer looks like...just makes me laugh, seems like alot of work to keep it running, but something I would never have thought of

We have a tiny empire of computers at home. I have two of my own, and my better half has a brand new one of his own, all networked. Computers have a high priority in this house!

Yeah I have my own computer, people wanna fight about it sometimes but then they don't because I would like destroy them or wedgitize them or something along those lines... its old though, but it gets the job done.

Yes I do now although until November it was pretty complicated. The last two years I've pretty much had a computer to myself on weekdays but I've had to share one on weekends and holidays - now I have my own laptop which comes in handy

The computer I mainly use is...mainly mine, although originally intended to be my dad's. It's hooked up to his restaurant's security cameras and computer network, and also is hooked up to our card printer (he prints VIP cards with it then goes off to another place in town to program the magnet strip thing), so he uses it for that and pretty much only for that. Otherwise, it's considered mine.
As for the other computers in this house, one is my dad's, a laptop is my sister's, another laptop is shared, and the computer beside me is shared.

I'm in unveristy. If I didn't have my own computer, I'd die or kill something.

Mine is my own, but it's a crapptastic laptop (everyone, do not get a Toshiba Satelite, okay? =) My computer has been in repairs 3 times over the course of a year but they still refuse to do anything about it, bleh, warranty's out now too), so whenever it goes in for repairs I have to share with my brothers.

Well the computer I always use is in my room, so I'm always on it, but it is the families. Though my mam & sister use the older PC and my dad has his laptop. So, this is mine!!

I'm really starting to think that my theroy was mostly corrent, those who have their own computer or mostly have their own computer have higher posting rates.

I have to share with my brother. I hate it. He keeps kicking me off randomly to do something or go on AIM or something. Sometimes it's for a minute, sometimes for a few hours. Grrrr! I want my own freakin' computer! >_>

My computer belongs to my whole family. However, my parents only use it for bills and my brother is on much less than I am. I don't get one to call my own until I graduate, though.

Miiiiiiine. And I'm picky about it too. My brother uses it every once in a while. And my mum uses it sometimes. But mostly it's miiiiine.

I have my own laptop, which I keep in my room. I bought it myself, so I don't have to share with anyone.
Plus we have 3 other computers (1 other laptop that my mom uses for work, family computer and an old computer that my younger brother plays around on) in the house for everyone else to use, so they have no use for mine.

I just got one of my own last week... finally! I used to have my own, but when I moved last year, the old one didn't survive the trip. It's much nicer not to have to deal with my husband looking over my shoulder to try to make me uncomfortable enough to give up and let him use it...
