Xbox is just where you can play with e other people, possibly up to 15 others with a system link. Xbox live is where you plug your Xbox into your computer with an internet connection and play with others world-wide who have Xboxlive. It xosts about 40$ and you have to pay 10$ a month. You also have headphones where you can speak to others to strategize.I don't have a Gamertag though... :(

Basic difference:

Xbox: Up to 16 players

Xbox live: More than you can imagine

(Steal the rhythm while you can.)

I've hooked up my XBOX to my Modem, but it still says there's a cord problem. >.< I checked it all, it was flawless.

Its a DSL modem, it works plenty fast when I use it with my computer. I have a feeling I have the wrong cable type. Oh well, I'll buy a router.

I had problem with my a-box last night but got it working again, try the trouble shooter.

You can still only have 16 people on any match on Live (ITS XBOX NOT X-BOX!!!!) but the availiability is more. :)

My gamertag is zorgainian btw (i only started playing yesterday, but i've played halo2 with system link n freinds for a while)

DNS means your connection is not working \, it is a problem with your dsl provider probably. Check if it is set to automatic DNS.

I've been having problems setting up Xbox Live, I'm sharing the modem between the computer and my Xbox via ICS, I'm using he right cable and the XP firewall is not preventing it from connecting but it keeps telling me I can't connect to Xbox live... any1 had this problem
