Too low RAM? It happens when I open too much stuff - Use firefox more effective.

wait, whats unusable about that? IE is always very unstable...

I just stopped using IE all together because of the problems. I'd rather use Links than IE anyday:)

was that SP2 you installed? It wouldn't let me on the internet when I installed it, maybe that's the problem.

*Down with IE!*

*Up with Maxthon! (Formerly known as MYIE2, which is the version I use)*

Hehe. Aye. I would find a different browser. And it's always good to defragment your hard drive once in a while.

IE has never gone bad on me but I'd like to have another explorer, but I use the family computer (the only computer) so I don't....

Gah! I'm getting firefox for sure, IE is just wayyy to buggy for me, sometimes, if I decide to post a very long reply, IE just closes it self and pops up an error while I'm half way through!

Again, it's a matter of who uses the computer -- my IE doesn't crash at all (hence there's really no reason to get anything). If you've installed some weird plug-ins (or spyware), it's not IE's fault that they crash it.

A lot of those things have to do with how you configure stuff -- and how you use it later. So far, there is no firefox-targeted spyware (because only 6% use firefox), but that is bound to change as/if it gains popularity.

You can uninstall the recently installed update, and see if IE stops crashing. If it doesn't stop crashing, the update really had nothing to do with it.

Will you stop with the honour stuff?

This has always been my solution to not having those problems with internet explorer:

Dont use internet explorer.

Easy, huh? Dont use it, wont have all those dungy problems. Honestly, if you still use it, I highly reccomend mozilla. I have it, and I havent had a single problem in over a year and I used to use internet explorer until the result nearly killed my comp. So I learned, now I use mozilla firefox. :D

I don't see why so many people are so obsessive about Firefox. Granted, it's a good browser, but I haven't had any problems with IE -- and I've been using it for close on 8 years.

I use it as my backup browser, or if I want to be logged into two different accounts on one site at once, but I'm happy with IE. And besides -- switching to a different browser isn't finding a solution to a problem, is it? ;)

Gone, forever.
