I got the game for Hanukkah. It's so different than the other two versions! I'm not sure I like it as much for some reason *shrugs*.

Yeah it has somethings I dont like about it but it is much better to watch. I havnt yet seen the same kind of person in the park at all.

I was a huge fan of the original game, and I bought both expansions. I remember playing it for hours and hours; the graphics weren't the greatest, but it had some draw to it that made me spend hours with it (much like The Sims).

I skipped the second edition because from what I read, it wasn't much of an update and it wasn't worth the money.

I got the 3rd for Christmas, and I am quite disappointed. I played it for several days, but it wasn't long until I found myself going back to The Sims 2. RCT3 has much more detail and being able to ride your coasters is cool, but... I don't know, it seems as though there is something missing. I was afraid that TS2 would be that way, but much to my relief, it has kept me interested since September 14th.

I also got Zoo Tycoon 2, and I haven't been able to interest myself in playing it hardly at all, beyond installing and doing the first two tutorials.

Edit: Oh and of course, the lack of drowning Peeps just isn't any fun. I remember when I first found that you could drown people in RCT1. I accidentally dropped a panda entertainer into a pond, and watching him struggle against the water sent me into hysterics. Ahh, **memories** :) :P

I got the game for chirstmas, and from what ive played of it, im impressed.

Sure it isnt the same a RCT1, but that is like trying to compare things to starwars. RCT1 was one of those rare key games that changed game playing and almost single handily started a simulation game craze. It was an awesome game for its time, and alot of fun. The expations only added to the fun.

RCT2 was a major letdown. Outside of the coaster and senerio creators, plus a few extra rides, it was the same old game.
RCT2's first expation was such a letdown I didnt even buy the second one. All it was was a bunch of senery and a few rides which were the same as other rides, only differnt loooking.

And then came RCT3. It isnt the same leap and a bound ahead of all other games in its class like RCT was, but it is still a soild game. The graphics are good, the coaster creation tool is much easier to use, its all better. Sure it has its disapointements, such as.

1. It is hard to crash coasters. The only way to do so is to launch it off a track without any end.
2. you cant drown guests.
3. There is no "Entry Stall" that you can set up to create, say, a water park that costs you guests an extra 10$ to get into, but then they can ride the rides for free. (it would be a normal stall placed on a path. Guests would have to buy a ticket to walk past it.
4. The senery is limiting. I like the five "theames" but I would enjoy things like jumping fountains again.
5. Sometimes it gets too big, bright and movey for me. They should have had an option to switch to "classic view". So you can play without the 3d graphics and all the toher whistles and bells, and view your park from the normal RCT view.

Besides that, great game. Ive enjoyed it so far, and hopefully will enjoy it for many more days to come :D
