My mom finally let me get The Sims! We gotta wait till dad gets home to install it, so I was wondering if it was as good as everyone says?

You mean the original? Yep, it's great, a wonderful way to waste hours at a time yelling at your sim because he won't sit and watch TV when you tell him to. :D It's much better with all the expansions, but the deluxe edition is pretty good, too.

I LOVE the Sims! There are two types of people in this world: People that love the Sims and never get bored of it, and there are those people who get bored of it after a few hours. I happen to be the first of the two, and to me, the Sims is an awesome game! I hope you like it!

I need to get the rest of the expansion packs and Hot Date again. Somehow my Hot Date cd got scratched so badly it doesn't install it :| I need Hot Date, Vacation, Unleashed, Sueprstar, and Makin' Magic. But since I'm still jobless, I'm too poor to buy them.

Wait, I do get bored with it, but only after, like, a month of continual play. Then I suddenly bcome bored with it and don't play for a couple of months. Then I'll get bored and start playing it again and the cycle repeats itself. The most fun in the sims, for me, is building and desiging the house. Playing with the sim is fun until they start to fall into a routine. Then you have you change something, like lose job, or just play a new house for a while.

The Deluxe Edition is great. It has Livin it Large, House Party, and the orignal sims in it. Mine also came with a bonus "Create a Sim" CD , which I can make a loads of new characters.

well then i must be an enigma wrapped in a wasit tied up by a dowhat.
because i just dont like the sim, if i wanted a social life id go out at some point other than to get food or buy models (mmmm lizardmen...) or indeed play games at COGS, but i dont so i wont.
really dont see whats so great about the sims, but then i guess many could say the same for warhammer so i'll finish up now.

Oh yes, very good game...I got it for Christmas, spent ages fiddling around with it...the one blissful part of this year.

Yup, enjoy it. 8)
