5 at the moment...an AIM chat, and two IMs, one of which is totally dead and I should close, and my gmail inbox. That's about average for me, though the other day I had 7 IM windows open...which lasted for all of 3 minutes. =P

My AOL Buddy List window, my AOL "Welcome" window, (AOL won't let you close it.) MusicMatch Jukebox Player, (if that counts as a window?), and PPT Forums window of course.
