Media File Help

I didn't feel like posting this, but I don't have anywhere else to go to.

See, I received this large movie download from a friend and I can't play it much less seem to find anything on it(the filetype). They're TFT/r files, and I'm afraid I won't be able to use them.*cries*

Will I have to ask them for another file format or can I fix this on my own(with difficulty or otherwise)?

I'd ask for a copy compatible with your computer. Also be sure the movie is legal

you could try downloading and using the VideoLAN player, it comes with a lot of codex to play different file formats
