Color Problem in Photoshop CS

Fri Jul 01, 2005 1:27 am

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but whatever.

I just got Photoshop a couple of days ago, and have been making some graphics in it. Today, when I opened it to work on graphics, I had to make a screenshot of something. When I made a new document and pasted the screenshot, it had a purple hue to it on the taskbar and on the window at the top. Now, when I pasted it in Fireworks, it was fine.

I was going to show you two screenshots, but when I uploaded them they both had the same color. So, I know it's something in PS, but I'm not sure what it would be.

Mabye you should try reinstaling it. I don't see why that would happen unless you selected the sidebar and the window on top and pressed ctrl+u and changed it so it was purple.

Reinstalling would be the best thing to start off with I think, or just put the disk in, start up install and click repair.

First of all, check that whn you are opening your new document, on the little box that comes up, choose RGB colours.

Otherwise, try going to Edit > Color Settings

That's my settings - good luck

The color settings were the same, so I'm probably just gonna have to reinstall it. Now, I might not, because it only turns purple when I take screenshots and pasted them into a new document in PS, so I can just save them in another program and open them up in PS.
