Wait...so what?

1) You have a file you want to convert to midi from _____?

or

2) You have a midi file, you just don't have the music code?

I don't think that's possible. Midis do not contain sound.. they tell the sound card what instruments to play and when (commands). That's why they're so small. I read it somewhere.. forgot where.

A Windows Media player file isn't a format. I'm guessing it plays in Media Player for you, so most likely either an MP3 or WMA file.

Actually, there is a wma file format. I think it's Windows Media Audio. You get it when you burn something from a CD into Windows Media Player.

As for making it a MIDI, if you're not tone-deaf, your best shot is to try to make a MIDI of it yourself with a program. I'll see if I can find some free ones....-roots around-
