PHP Help?

I'm trying out PHP, but whenever someone tries to send a PM, they get this error:

There's also a simliar error when signing up. Is there a way to correct this? Because I can make you a admin and fix it if you need too!

Turn off sending email via SMTP (should be in the Admin panel somewhere).

It's more phpBB than php.
